Hi everyone !

So I had an old RC car and I decided to upgrade it. I put in a  motor(throttle), 6ch receiver and esc from an old plane I had. It runs fine when held up but I noticed that when on the ground the throttle is abruptly cut out. It sometimes moves in a fraction of the throttle but it cuts out completely if I try to move to a higher throttle. But the servos still receive power . I did consider the extra load on the motor and added a 9.6v NiMH rather than the 8.4 it used earlier but it still keeps cutting out ..!! help !!

It might be the problem of ESC once caliberate it and try to do the same test. Does your ESC support oneshot125 or something similar. Because they are very fast and stops immediately as soon as throttle on tx is low.

I forgot to mention there's a small button from the esc. When thecircuit is turned on and connected to the transmitter , just the servos respond. When I press the button once the circuit is completely turned on. Now the throttle works for a second and then gets cut off. And as to the esc I have no clue about it as it was old and had no stickers or indicators. Also it is a brushed motor.

its sometimes the throttle limit to it. its just in a nut shell that use a pistol grip tx and its rx.
