Title: FPV help required
Post by: shauviks on December 04, 2013, 12:36:11 AM
Hi all
i need to have a  fpv video showing altitude ,airspeed.

Also i need to integrate a gps module to set waypoints and navigate through the waypoints.
M a hell confused and hell tired  :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: going through all the osd equipments like eagle tree, range video,arkbird,etc..

Plz suggest me the sensors and required hardwares for the above.

Thanks
Shauvik

Okay, so what do you plan to use for fpv, a plane or multirotor?
What is the range you want for your fpv system(depends on your radio too)?
Whats your budget?

Also what did you mean by "Also i need to integrate a gps module to set waypoints and navigate through the waypoints."
Would you like to navigate by yourself or do you want it to be auto piloted?

I will just give you an example of simple fpv setup with autopilot.

HKPilot Mega V2.5 Flight Controller
UBLOX LEA-6H GPS Module
HKPilot Power Module
MinimOSD
Boscam 5.8Ghz 200mW FPV Transmitter
Boscam RC805 - 5.8Ghz 8 Channel AV Receiver
5.8 GHz Cloverleaf / Skew Planar Antenna Set
An lcd screen or video goggles
Couple of 3s lipo.
Camera of your choice.
Bluetooth serial module,Camera gimbal,3DR Radio Telemetry Kit is optional.

This setup would give you approx 2km of fpv range and maybe more.
You need patience to setup/tune everything together, its not plug n play.

What will be apporximate cost of all of the above....not that i need it ....but just curious.....

Approx Rs 20000+  + Shipping(from hobbyking) + customs(30% approx) and considering you already have something that flies, and a radio with better range.
Kit includes a 7' lcd screen, a cheaper gps module and a single 3s lipo, 900mhz telementry kit,520tvl camera.
I have not included Bluetooth module, gimbal.

Cost will increase:

if you need spares due to breakage/crash etc.
For true fpv you need to get goggles instead of screen.
For better camera.
Long range radio.
