Title: Has anyone had problems with Mumbai Customs regarding GPS modules?
Post by: r5sb on May 04, 2016, 02:27:47 PM
Hey guys,

I'm planning to get a GPS module from abroad and was wondering whether there will be any problems with customs regarding the GPS module. Has anyone had any GPS module withheld by customs recently?

Are there any restrictions regarding importing GPS modules issued by the WPC ?

The module mentioned is this one: https://www.adafruit.com/products/746

Thanks  :)

I've imported lots of arduino shields as well as other boards and I've never had a problem.

Any reason why you want to import from Adafruit specifically? You could probably get a similar item in china much cheaper.

No reason....I'm getting a sample sent from Robotshop which is identical to this one.

Good to know theres no WPC ban on GPS modules. Don't want to deal with them again.  :banghead:

Thanks for your reply!  :)
