Title: Help needed with ordering at Banggood...
Post by: Saurabh Joshi on November 21, 2014, 08:27:50 AM
Hello.
can u guys please tell me what's the single largest order (in terms of price) you have received from Banggood or any similar website? Has anybody faced a problem with custom department over the cost or the size of the package? How was the issue resolved?

Thank you.

So far I have ordered heat shrink tubes, USBASP programmer and 3.5 bullet connector + JR PRO transmitter neck strap from banggood but my order never exceeded to ~$5-~$8 (+shipping). No issues with custom. I got parcel at door step without problem within month.
Same observation is with hobbyking.com

Well saurabh till ur order doesn't has a tx RX  customs won't trouble u .... And they will ask for wpc certificate and all then u will have to provide them all certificates or wpc list of approved tx RX  convienve the officials tym consuming proccess .... Also they will end up taxing u on the whole pacakrge tHaTs 40% of the total amount I would suggest order tx RX  separately or else buy from any lhs they have almost the same price with a additional cost of handling some of this kinda issues for u :) for me I ended up paying customs due to ordering a tx RX which I wasn't aware of lhs that tym and also I wasn't been charged with a package above 150dollar which didn't contained objectionable material lyk txrx ... Package contained All quadcopter parts such as motors ESC and all

Its good to order small parts from them.I think they will charge for customs if the amount is about $100.

I m trying to order a walkera qr x350 quadcopter  ($310) and a devo 10 ($150)... so the quad will contain the rx so that's objectionable rite? And by lhs u mean local hobby shop? If yes then there is big difference in price nearly twice in most cases..plus there is not a very wide range of products to choose from.. i can easily find a turnigy 9x but not the devo 10.. There r asking around 7.5k for the turnigy whereas at Banggood it's around 4.5k

Then you may have to pay the customs.Custom charges+shipping costs around the same as local lhs.

@saurabh joshi u r right abt the pricing bt lhs also has to go to similar procedure they juss simply the process and allow u to get the product max.. in a week bt in case of banggood there is a possibility the product does nt reach u in tym where as sometyms the product may get stuck in customs and take months to get to u so everyone would prefer a lhs bt some products lyk u said devo10 tx yes u can opt for products if u r willing to buy from banggood and wait for a month for the product to arrive and there is a 100/100 chance that it is confiscated by the customs also check the wpc approved list of tx if it is nt in the list u would have to frget the tx :P long procedures hence i would suggest opt for a lhs there are many good reputated lhs for us available ............ rcmumbai,quadkopters,rcbazar..... juss try them .... also i would say do some research before ordering goods from banggood such as u need to confirm that they are nt objectionable at customs most of the pastic products they dnt care abt ........... hope this helps

@Kiran rc.. If I can get banggood to generate an invoice of 70$-80$ for a product that is actually worth 350$ will it help? So even if I have to pay duty that wud be much lesser.. i think is a good idea plz let know if u think it can backfire in some way.. lol

I had bought a tx Rx set from bangood maybe 4-5 months ago. It was worth around 1700in rs. But I didn't have any hassle with the customs. n no extra payment. But I recently ordered a fishing reel from Ali worth around 7k and it was delivered by aramex and they charged me 460 rs as custom fee. But d biggest issue is, my friend from the UK sent me his used tx rx 2ch. He didn't mention the value coz it was used and was not worth anything to him. It was sent by post. But I was charged rs 1677 rs as an import duty (brand new costs 1300). And the customs decided it's value and stated that it was 4000rs. So I wrote an application and sent it back to the Mumbai international post to mentioning the value without accepting it. Hope I'll get it back  within 10working days.

Ok. Any Idea how can I get my RC Helicopter released from Mumbai customs (India Post).
EMS released my RC car but India post customs held it saying to bring WPC noc letter bcoz it has a remote control.
Really pathetic people in Mumbai foreign post office. Mumbai EMS has much better service.

They will not release until you submit WPC/ DGCA Noc Letter and they will not give you for sure.
I am following up for letter for last 2 months and no one responded.
I was given option to RTO by paying Rs 500 charges.

They will return the parcel back to banggood so that you can get refund.
I  don't know whether other customs office will provide this facility or not but I was given an option which I refused.

Not clear if you want to build an RC robot, boat, car, drone or plane...

There are dozens of suppliers whose owners are members here.
If you put in a little effort, you can easily locate them.

Start by looking at rcduniya, which is an aggregator, and will lead you to many suppliers.

I wish you had done a bit of homework...
