On the main page you will find this

AMA ensures all model flyers in India are recognised, responsible citizens and are covered by a valid third party insurance as a social responsibility.

Five or more members of AMA flying at one location, can have third party insurance coverage for the flying site.

Insurance has been secured with a PSU Insurance Company, liability is limited to four incidents not exceeding 5Lakhs each, to a maximum of 20 Lakhs in a year.

The procedure for reporting an incident /accident is provided at the website.

Recently WPC has made it mandatory for the resellers to record the details of the buyer of a transmitter,we have appealed to aeromodelers to organise and be a part of a club or AMA which has records of the flyers, including copy of their passport or driving license as proof of residence and contact numbers-this is for the safety of our country and to regulate and promote the hobby in safe and secure manner.Let the aeromodelers take the initiative -it might well become mandatory in the near future.

Wishing you all happy flying and safe landings.

Merged above post into existing thread about insurance.

roby

AMA provide third party insurance to its members on designated fight sites, permission for flying has to be organised by the flyers at the locations they intend to fly.

Not until you go and hit sombody's car or hurt a person or a similar act ,THEN you may dearly wish you had insurance, just like life insurance -don't know when you may need it!
