Very good as a reference point. And Jayanth, HO is only used to describe scale level for trains/railroad, AFAIK. I'm new to this and it will be a good learning from this forum. Any particular scale notation used for Airplanes? Jayanth Title: Re: Model Airplanes plans Post by: sushil_anand on September 16, 2011, 01:26:09 PM For model airplanes, it is 1/8, 1/4 etc., directly representing the proportion of the model w.r.t the original. So 1/4 (or quarter scale) would mean the the models dimensions are a quarter of the real airplane. For plans it could be 100:1 or something similar, I would guess.
