I have contacted the Supritendent office thrice since last monday including today to get them sending me the letter asking for item invoice. As i havent gotten the letter yet

Once i gave them the local parcel number of my item, then they told me that they will call me within 1 hour. Then nothing happen

Im quite suspicious as they seems dont want to talk to me regarding the item

Maybe they lost my parcel?  Hmm

I was expecting one scaled die cast car from Japan  [1/64] and unfortunately its seating at the customs, Mumbai FPO, since the last 5 days. What all documents I need to  keep handy so that I can contact the seller to send the same. Also, please advise word of wisdom.
Obviously I would like to have the same as soon as possible, but definitely not by wetting their trouser pockets.

First Of all Welcome To The Forum. Now First Its coming By Registered Post Or EMS And Does It include A Radio Tx/Rx If yes then Its a problem mate. They will surely Require the WPC NOC. If not then 85 % chances are there you will surely get your parcel. Now Documents if they Say The Retention Reason Is Inappropriate Invoice so in that Case you just need the Invoice,Proof Of Payment ( Payment Confirmation) and A Covering letter ( why you have ordered this products and what are your intentions in using this product.
And Yes One More thing I am worried about is that How Much Amount Did you pay I mean Whats the Total Cost did you pay for that Including shipping ?? ( Mention The Shipping Charges Separately  ). As sometimes because of the High Amount Parcel May get stuck too. But Don't worry.
And Now If possible can you tell me your tracking Number ?? ( If Possible then only )

I don't know what it mean.

This item is coming from Singapore. It is just $20 item RC Quad copter Toy. Since 10 days onward this item status is showing the same. I did not revived any mail or call from  MUMBAI FOREIGN POST OFFICE. How to contact them to know my Item status is. Please help me in this concern.

And Yes Now The Amount Is Low so there is no problem but as you have a RC quad Copter Toy if it includes a Radio Tx ( Transmitter ) Then Its A Problem. There are chances that it may get stuck And they may ask For WPC NOC ( Trust me its really hard to get this.)
So I hope this doesn't Happens. As Status says that 'Awaiting Presentation ....' Its mean Customs Is Requiring The Documents Which Proves the Product value. That is Invoice,Proof Of Payment And A Covering Letter. Well Don't worry you gotta call them And Ask them So they can further Assist you.

You don't need to worry about this. I v been through this before once it took 15 days to clear the customs. They hav doubt about the exact value. Once the put a duty. They would release your parcel.

Yes Your correct i hope this only Happens Because If this Toy Contains Radio Transmitter which it would be Containing.I just Hope this doesnt affect Customs if these comes in Their vision then it may Cause a Problem But Other Than that No Problem.

It is a very simple flying toy only. I have attached PayPal receipt and TinyDeal.com sent invoice with this message. I have tried to call you have defined phone numbers as well has emails too. But no response from that end. Please help me in this concern anyone can help to clear my item from Costumes.

Well A Surprising Thing Just Happened.I was Tracking Some Numbers which i got from tye older posts and out of them one just Got Cleared Customs That Was Vaibhav's Parcel.
If i remember correctly his Tracking Number is RI353571215CN.
Well if i remeber correctly It was Devo 7e Transmitter surprisingly just now i Tracked and just today it cleared Customs i.e return item from Customs this Shows that

Well what i think is that It may be sent to Domestic location Tommorow.Cant Say About that Not sure But it took one month to clear.

I have ordered a RadioLink 10ch Transmitter through ebay and it has shipped from Hong Kong but still I dint received it my tracking number RT271770268HK through ips web Tracking.

Bad idea to get a Tx as it is mostly(80% times)detained by customs..!  

How can I able to get it from customs?

Mostly the customs will ask for WPC(Wireless Planning Commission) ETA(Equipment Type Approval) certificate which is nearly impossible to obtain!
You may have to ask the custom to return the item and ask the seller for a refund!
For more information you may contact Aman(on the Forum) who has much more experience than me and may be able to provide better assistance! 

Wait for further update on tracking url and be ready to expect some letter / notification on approvals ....

As your last tracking status is "sent item to domestic location" , we can make sure it is cleared of customs , mostly the item should be delivered in 5 working days after this status, it doesn't take these much time, you should get it delivered soon if it is not lost in transit , it is surely not detained by customs, if you haven't got any letter or call by this time. Anyway as the purchase is from eBay, you can request a refund if the expected delivery date have passed.

Normal time for delivery for items from honk Kong is 20 to 30 days, as only 3 weeks have passed since your order is shipped, you could wait for one more week, after that contact the seller for refund (if it still not delivered)

My friends in the US & UK have received their order shipment in 10-12 days from Hong Kong or any were from in China & even faster if ordered through Fast shipping which costs extra money.. I mean I just dont understand even for an ordinary shipment orders from China takes so long time to reach India

"Send item to domestic location" means item is sent to your address. If it was detained in customs the status was like "Send item to customs" followed by "retention reason: .." as far as i know.

yestarday i contacted cusoms what the said is the detained the parcel and they gave reference number and they asked me to come straight to customs office in parrys tamil chennai.

alright..that explains the delay. Wonder how come the tracking does not reflect that. Anyways, go there and try to explain them why do you need the equipment and hopefully it will be released.
