I am new here and i have a query to ask from you guys.
Actually i have ordered a DJI PHANTOM QUADCOPTER from USA and pruchased it via Ebay for 500$
But the seller undervalued it to 120$ on the Customs Form and shipped it via USPS PRIORITY EXPRESS MAIL
So it has reached INDIA and now the CUSTOM DEPARTMENT is asking for PROOF OF PURCHASE/VALUE

Please suggest me what to do please?

        You have invited trouble because customs people also know what is the value of such toys as many people import and try doing under value.What best u can do is tell that ur relative has sent it and u dont have the bill ..So u need to bribe them, no other way..

One more thing i have also arranged a label of custom form from the seller in which the value is writter 119$ without shipping

They may well ask you for proof of remittance if you show them the paypal receipt.

they ask for the file no. and local post no. to track

I recieved a show cause memo from the customs department today for my turnigy 9x asking for wpa type approval even though there is no transmitter module or reciever in that. How do i communicate this to the customes department? I called them up today and told them the same thing, the guy on the phone told me to email him whatever i had told and they will look into it. So what do i send them in my email to convince them that the 9x i ordered doesnt actually have a module and hence needs no approval?

Well show them the links or screen shot of both with and without module and the fact that the one without module lacks a antenna assuming its the Turnigy version sold in HK.
Tell them about the lack of module at the back and compare it to the one with module.

Tell them that since there is no radio or wireless device on it ,it doesn't require type approval.

I am ordering a brushless system for my TT01R Type E from HobbyKing. It is the Turnigy TrackStar Waterproof Combo with a 80A ESC and 5200kV motor. It costs 62$ and I am planning to use the $10 Air Mail shipping option as I have a tight budget. The package weighs less than half a kg and the package is the average size of the book. Will this package attract customs charges or will it pass through without any.  If I do have to pay customs, approximately how much extra would I have to pay. Are there any chances of detaining it? Also, do any of you have any advice for going about getting my combo to my flat in bangalore?

i am scared now i ordered a traxxas e revo on ebay and it cost me 320 dollars including international shipping

but now i have been hearing a lot of customs nonsense and i dont know what to do please help!!!
