I am planning to get 02 six channel Rx of either Orange or Frysky for my new Futaba or the Hitec Tx..... from HobbyKing.  Please tell me how should i ask them to be shipped to reach me without much hassles. I generally use the cheapest post with HK and have received all by items by the Indian postal Department without any hassles... Please let me know the following:-

1.  If this manner of postage is fine or shall I use the DHL to get it past Customs.
2.  Is the Rx also been held by the Customa as the Tx are being held.
3.  If anyone still getting his Tx and Rx through the Customs these days....

I would be happe to receive the replay soon as I need to order these Rx in about a weeks time.

Re:

Please order through registered Post its safest and surest. Generally under a KG and 10K it has never invited scrutiny of customs and received without any issue. I have received all my Rxs without fail. DHL, EMS, Fed Ex all go through through customs scrutiny. Always received with customs charged even for simple accessories.

Don't wake a Tiger until you've factored the teeth

I second Col. Sundaram. I regularly order from HK, keep my parcel < 1 Kg (in fact, 750 gm is better) and < $ 60, choose registered mail. DHL spells trouble. Never get a Tx, or a RTF/ARF though - that's asking for trouble

Even I am planing to order the frsky 2.4ghz diy module for my 9x and D4R-II Rx with it. What sundaram sir said is correct. Ordering through Fedex or DHL will always attract custom duty however less priced your article is. Twice I had placed orders with FedEx shipping, both the times I was charged 30% of my parcel value(even though they were under 60$ and had no wireless stuff).

Has any one bought Frsky modules successfully from HK or any foreign web site?

Blackbird!!!

Hello Everyone,
Its Been a Long time I posted as I was out for some months but just got back 3 days before. Well I am really sorry towards the queries and problem I didn't reply to which I got through personal messages.
Now,
@ Mohamdi :- Hello Mohamd,
First Of All welcome to the forum mate. Now as your ordered a CX20 2.4 Ghz Quadcopter from aliexpress. Now Is it shipped by Registered post Airmail or EMS Speed Post ??And Yes the customs require WPC NOC and believe me its really hard to get one also many Persons ordered mini quads and in most of the cases WPC NOC was required by the customs. There is very less chance of getting it cleared its like 20 to 30 % of the people only got their Products and rest had to request customs to return it and Get their money back.
Now What you can do is that contact Ahemdabad Customs !!!Here Are the contact details :-
Customs Office,
Near All India Radio,
Navrangpura,
Ahmedabad,Gujarat.-380009
Contact No :- 079-27540258.
Foreign Post Office Contact no :- 079-22866807, 22885712
Email :-syscus@gmail.com
Also if possible can you share the Tracking Number if possible then only?? ( Privacy is your right mate Smiley )

@ Shobhit:- Hey Shobhit,
I agree With Sundaram Sir and Sanjay Sir. You Can get your Receivers through Registered Airmail because if you choose DHL they will ask you for WPC NOC where as FedEx they can clear it ( Not Always mate) and Customs duties are also high then its like 25 to 40 % of Total Costs !!!
Regards,
Aman.

Yeah they are bit expensive since LHS buy it and stock it in here, you get it faster (within a 4-5 days) and you dont have to worry about customs.

But now for saving few bucks you have to handle the shipping and the customs agony. Good luck

It depends on the cost of the parcel.  generally for low cost parcel they just let it go.  But for expensive parcels they charge.  also they generally do charge FedEx parcels even if the item is of low cost.  but they charge duty on the price of product+shipment cost. so FedEx is a Lil  bit tricky option.  also they open the parcel if it's too heavy or if they seem that the parcel is under value.  but at the end again it depends upon your luck. They may charge or might just let it go.  ☺

Hello guys,
I'm new hear and looked at some cases but didn't meet what I'm looking for... So can anyone help me with this...will be very thankful...
So I've ordered jjrc x6 trantula quadcopter which works on 2.4g range and it reached India pretty fast on 1st of december and the with the status of "sent to custome".
The quad itself value around 60-65$.
And after almost month of waiting today i got a letter from ahmedabad customs that my parcel has been detented and asked for few documents to submit which includes :
[1] purchase invoice/ commercial invoice
[2] transaction details/ payment details
[3] end use certificate on company letterhead (what the hack is this...)
[4] Noc feom wpc ( i think it's not required because 2.4ghz frequency is allowed to import without this - this is what i know so far)
Guys can you please help me in how to clear this parcel from customes and and anyone guide me through all this fuzz....
The quad is toy grade still why they detend the parcel...
Waiting for reply from all the member to get helping hand...

Release my parcel and the purpose of use of the product ... Well then the officer after convencing realesed my  parcel with a 40% custom on the tx .... This was my story may be I was lucky by if anyone is stuck with customs try showing them the wpc list may be they allow u to take the parcel  Smiley hope this helps I could post the link pls find it on wpc website
I'm confused as i m a beginner... Can you please findout if my quad is allowed by wpc, it's jjrc trantula x6 2.4GHz 4ch.
I tried to find but was unable to..please help me out cyberhack

I visited fpo today, very bad experience over all...
I carried the letter i received from customs (which came to me after almost month). At this time i didn't carry any docs...just the letter.jist too check what the hell is goin on there...
I showed the letter to the guys was looking like what is this?? Total blank... Then he came up with my file ank after few blank minutes he asked me to meet a person in cabin..
I went to the 2nd guy, he saw the file and told me all which i already know that I'll need NOC from WPC to release the parcel from customs... When asked and told 2.4ghz frequency is free from license and one can use is without any licence.
Then i asked how and where to get boc...he gave me the wpc website address. I said on this websitw only its clearly mentioned that 2.4ghz tx rx don't need any spacial permission to buy and use. He said we don't know that it's written in the lettwr that we need noc from wpc means we need it then we will clear it. After that he sent me to the 3rd person telling that he'll tell you what is all this. Before i go to tge 3rd person i asked him wpc give noc if i apply for it, after showing blank face he said "No"
Then i went to 3rd person. Even he said all those repeated thinks that we need noc from wpc.. He didn't even know the full form if WPC... I tried to make him understand that 2.4ghz toy grade hilis and quad are free from license and can be used. Still like "ratta maar" he said it's written so we need to to clear your parcel...He even told me about the duty to be paid 41.5% and plus 6000/- panaly for importing electronic item. he said you can not import any kind of electronics and if you do you'll have to pay 41.5% of duty+penalty of 6000/-...i was like WHAT!!!!?, any electronics..... When asking he didn't even tell his name...and was laughing, how stupid...

After all this mess i came to know that all this people have 0% of knowledge of what they are there to do...and according to them wpc will never provide NOC...
Man come on this is just toy grad quad.. They kept saying " IT'S DRONE IT'S DRONE" i don't know what is their defination of DRONE
Anyone here who can help me guys..dealing with custom guys is like banging head on the wall...they don't even try to understand what the other person is saying...
In sort they will detein each parcel containing remote toys and never release that i can say from their talks... WPC NOC is just a thing to confuse people and make them busy so they can never get the package containing such toys..

With your trust We grow !

2.4 Ghz is license free and anyone can use it.
But, the equipment is to be approved by WPC which is called Equipment Type Approval. Also, you have to obtain import license after obtaining Equipment Type Approval.
