To my ancient rc knowledge, there is no format/procedure to formally being blessed to do any such activities.

Try avoiding [my instinct, don't do it] if it is flown near or over their heads of people at any given instance. And always have sufficient spotters for assistance to report to you in real time about any possible avoidance of mishaps. Doing it in a secluded and crash far away shouldn't be a problem, if you can inform and get a permission from the local police, still spotters are necessary. I guess you need to be sufficiently influential or real go-getter with police for such permissions.

I remember my instructor frown when asked to do so during formal NCC/military model flights, during RD/ID parade. But I felt he liked the idea of tugging a banner behind his model airplane and, even releasing some paper cuttings as flower drop in front of the dias. :giggle:

Maybe, the regular fliers should be able to guide you with the latest happenings. Good luck, and tell us how it went through, if it ever happened!
