Mention your problem correctly.
If it is too tight try to loosen by using a drill. That is a better one. If that is loose prop adapter is not useful for that motor.

Yes the problem is its too loose , in that case will i get prop adapter from market ?
will it be possible it would be available at screw shops or hardware shops ,
the problem is i see motors bundled sold with prop adapters

hey bro
the prop adapter that comes with 2212 1000kv motors can be loosened or tightened with a tool kinda you can juss squeeze the prop adpater from behind to make the hole small as its variable i assume this is the motor https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT0e567aON4MzLLzbtLp7n0GRoV6_2y5PFOU8V9aMqGebKFBaUFMvMUkA

also try to put a prop on and tighten the adapter it should fit in

really that could help a lot , should i use a plier/plas and squeeze it , let me try that and i will post results with images... thanks for that idea

i am just worried it wont let to prop coming off during flight or increases the vibration

dont over tighten it make it so that it easily slides on the motor shaft it will fit more firmly when u put a prop on and lock it properly

@anshulkatta,
Hi,
You have mentioned that the shaft dia is 3.17mm.
So you collet is likely to be either 4 or 3.17 or 3mm internal dia.
If it is 4mm, it will be too loose and no amount of tightening will help.
If it is 3mm, it will be hard to mount on the shaft, and you may be tempted to open it up by poking something into the collet opening. Please DO NOT do this. The hole in the collet is supposed to be parallel to the shaft. If you open up the rear end of the collet, it will no longer be parallel, as the front end i/d will still be only 3mm.
If it is 3.17mm, it will be a sliding fit. You'll still be able to rotate it. It will grip the shaft tightly when you mount the prop and then tighten the spinner.

You say that it:
1. Fits one motor (a), but not the other three motors (b,c,d)
2. It is too loose.

This is only possible if:
1. The collet is 3.17mm, AND
2. Shaft of motor (a) is also 3.17mm, AND
3. Shafts of motors (b,c,d) are 3mm

Take the collet from motors (b,c,d) and try it on motor (a). If it is too tight to go on, the above hypothesis is confirmed.
By the way, do the collets on motors (b,c,d) fit those motors correctly?

Since the collet is loose, drilling it is not the answer!
Regards.
P.s. Welcome to RC India!

One round of a paper plaster ( with rough surface outside) might help?

ok guys ...right now i have squeezed a little..but it got little bit more squeezed so i got it little bit opened by inserting plas , and tried it on the motor , it has gone perfectly however , its not too much tight not too much loose....

one more thing i wanna ask  , is the green part is movable (see image attached) , i mean its not fixed...its just loose...so is it like this or need to be tightened ?

I think this is how you tighten the prop adapter; by inserting a small screw driver or rod through the hole.

Flying liberates my Soul !!!

You can use Teflon tape used by plumbers....wind it around shaft and then put on the adapter...
