Title: retiring a bird? Post by: PankajC on August 22, 2011, 08:20:10 PM As we fly, sometimes we do rough landings or crash and end up repairing the plane before returning to fly it again. But is there a guideline when one has to say - enough! lets retire this one" ?

I'd retire an old bird only if I need the electronics in another plane. My easystar is so banged up that people have named it cyno-star ;D but when shes in the air, shes as good as any other plane.
Title: Re: retiring a bird? Post by: avijit17basu on August 23, 2011, 08:17:10 AM Two of my ABS thunder tiger birds which had been through innumerable rough cycles were finally retired after the wings folded mid air. Again they had almost as much epoxy and fibre glass as original ABS.
Problem is the engine and radio equipment can get damaged in these crashes regards Avijit |
