Title: seeking DGCA permission for flying
Post by: Antriksh on December 04, 2015, 01:44:16 AM
Hello RCI members.
This is Antriksh Rajawat from jaipur.
Here I run a RC flying club. And flying for last 4 years(since 2011) at different places with no problem.(places means colleges, school and our fling field far from any airport)
Last weak we planned an airshow at annual function of a school. Because that school has a large ground and open surrounding we had no problem. I usually take permission from nearby P.S.
But this time I went to Commissioner of jaipur and gave him application for approving me to fly our RC model at school venue. So commissioner said first take permissions from DGCA and then I'll grant you permission u to fly in jaipur. :-\
Here problem started I wrote a application to DGCA and got no reply  :(
A few days before I saw a format of application on this forum in which we hv to mention every detail of our machine and longitudes and latitude of location etc.
But I can't find it on Google. :headscratch:
If someone can help me I'll be very greatfull to RCI forum. :hatsoff:
I'll go to DGCA headquarter at Delhi and take permission myself.

DGCA has banned flying UAVs outright. Is there any provision for giving permission at all? I don't think so. So far police was not universally aware of the DGCA ban. Now everybody knows. You can try going to DGCA. But don't be too optimistic. As things stand, it is not entirely in DGCA hands till a rule is framed. IAF and MHA are also involved. So whoever is flying these days are doing so illegally without permission. Anyway, please post your experience after your visit.
