Title: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 05, 2015, 06:43:05 PM
I order some stuff from HK, LiPo, and other stuff, the 2 items that the customs has issues with are Diversity Rx FPV Display and one Micro Rx.

Customs is asking for WPC approval, which obviously i dont have. So i have to send the parcel back to hobbyking.

I talked to fedex and they said that they need a letter form HK mentioning that they need to take the parcel back. What do i do now ? people please help .. Aman ??

SideNote:

Item got stuck in customs despite i go it via FedEx , that too no Tx and only Rx !!! Strange or what ?

also, i wonder if CHINTAL lived up to his reputation here ? After all his ARROGANCE and Plethora of FALSE PRIDE AND PSEUDO BRAVADO..

If so, Bravo CHINTAL, BRAVO, ensuring that people who get stuff cheaper than you, and benefit the customers in India, along with promoting it at its own level, have issues getting stuff from outside.

Bravo. You won. Feel happy now

To,

via post, to mumbai custom. Or you can write and scan and email the scanned copy to fedex.

I have mixed experience with Fedex where one of my package was stuck with customs for over 1 month i had to get some contacts to get it cleared. And many times it got cleared without any fuss. The mantra is declare good value. Not very high (to save our ass) and not very low to catch their eyes.

also, i wonder if CHINTAL lived up to his reputation here ? After all his ARROGANCE and Plethora of FALSE PRIDE AND PSEUDO BRAVADO..

If so, Bravo CHINTAL, BRAVO, ensuring that people who get stuff cheaper than you, and benefit the customers in India, along with promoting it at its own level, have issues getting stuff from outside.

As Sk1701 requested:

See images to understand the chintal issue.

I never dealt with this guy but what I heard from people, people who wanted to buy stuff from me and others i interacted with, said stuff about him, which initially i didnt pay much heed to. I didnt want to believe all of that, but every guy i spoke to had the same thing to say about him, that confused me, i wondered , either everyone is lying or this guy is actually what people say what he is.

Talk about customer dealing, talk about Prospective customer dealing , learn a lesson or two from Vibrant hobbies and quadkopters..

anyways, since he claims openly and will ensure that he wont let my parcels pass, there is no point in me helping you guys getting cheap stuff. This is the reason and the answer to all the people who were wondering why am i not taking any further orders.

AND yes, im sure, there will be people who will take his side ( because screw logic ), good luck.

and yes chintal, you have my best wishes , just don't dig your own grave.

Threaten to kill a guy and out of the ordinary the guy dies the next day. Who would be taken in by police as prime suspect?

.. Language?  IDK what language do you use...

And no thanks, can't take your help, you've helped me enough...

Help yourself first once u have the parcel cleared I would be still online to hear your criticism for me

I said the truth its up to you to believe or not

I never feared you selling at a cheaper price

You posted something on my thread say that your product was cheaper
1) it was a different combo
2) not in stock
3) read forum rules

I don't mind competition but you went right out of the way and posted it and didn't accept your mistake
That's when I got angry on you
And you had your beautiful language instead of accepting your mistake
That's the reason I said that on what's app

If you complain about someone please look at your own self first and provide a clear image of what had happened from starting

I hope you get your parcel cleared

nvm, sending here, check BOX Link for the docs.

https://app.box.com/s/iylc59sv987jl1oel50b3c0px0nk07sy

They basically asked for just 2 docs. :

1> Sign on the authority letter.
2> Explanation/Reason/Need of the products that i was importing.

Once submitted, they asked for the WPC / ETA , from the issue started.

They won't

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: chintal on June 05, 2015, 11:18:53 PM
It's about valuation as they can see the original price vs the declared price right their in the customs declaration

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 05, 2015, 11:44:26 PM
I used my points that I kept .. Plus I declared the usual 30% (same as last shipment)...

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: chintal on June 06, 2015, 12:07:10 AM
Just fill the documents and sign the authority letter it will get cleared (you might get fined or charged duty on actual value )

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 06, 2015, 12:24:00 AM
Did that, still they're not agreeing.

Gave all the signed stuff 3 days ago, got to know yesterday that the WPC thing is needed ( see the complete mail ). By the talk i had yesterday, only option i had was return to sender, and they were explaining only about that. Unless magically they just clear it, i dont know, also, if i return it, how much extra would i have to pay ?

ALSO, the value is low in this invoice because i have the refund money of my previous orders, i used that, what wrong in that. :/

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: satyagupta on June 06, 2015, 08:23:42 AM
Parichya

What is the actual value? how much did you declare and how much big the box is? (weight) and how many boxes? let me know i will try to help you out.

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: satyagupta on June 06, 2015, 08:26:24 AM
@chintal that kind of stuff that you had said is very un-cool seriously that was not fair at all. If somebody is doing or saying bad does not mean that you also follow the same suit. Leaves a very bad impression on your name.

Now since i am your competitor if at all my goods stuck i would think that you have caused it to stuck.

Thats just my advice no hard feelings to either of you.

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 06, 2015, 09:20:34 AM
Satya sir it was one box.

Total invoice was about $100 or so .And I had some 30$ of past refunds in form of store credit, I used that and the usual 30% value declare.

Last shipment came just fine... Why this time :/

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: satyagupta on June 06, 2015, 09:38:58 AM
Dude if it came fine once that does not means it would come clear next time too. They are smart too, they too know the prices. You are in problem but did they told you about declaration value?? Or something else??

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 06, 2015, 09:49:42 AM
No they didn't mention anything about the declared value. Just mentioned about the wpc and ETA. And yes when I called, I did say that I was surprised that FedEx shipment got stuck in customs, to which the girl said that it depends on the custom officer,  if he is lenient then it passes, else no.

What she said iz very true. Pass on the documents that I have mentioned to them. Via mail and also share the website link. Try to find any contacts if any it would be faster. BTW since when it's stucked with customs?

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.

1) customs duty
2)warehouse charges
3) clearing agent charges

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: aman1256 on June 06, 2015, 11:40:20 AM
Hello Everyone,
I Think it would be Somewhere near 25-40 % and also 300 Rs Clearing Charges.
Regards,
Aman.

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 06, 2015, 11:44:34 AM
Aman sure?

See, I total shipment value was approx $130, of which I expected 30% duty as usual. So it would have costed me about 140$.

Now, with everything happening, how much would it cost?

Also this is unfair on FedExs part that if I have store credit and I use it, they can't consider it under declared value...

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: aman1256 on June 06, 2015, 12:01:01 PM
Well Most of the Fedex shipments Received i think it should not be over 40 % maximum 40 % and plus 300 rs Clearing charges that fedex takes. But i hope that if they charge they should keep it between 25 to 30 %.
Regards,
Aman.

Dude first of all no one could help you in this matter. No one, i had been through the same experience that you have going through. I was just a sheer luck that one day i got a call from Fedex that goods are cleared and so much is that you have to pay.

Just send that documents to them, say that its working frequency is 3.4/5.8 which according to WPC is free frequency you dont need NOC. And keep patience, you thought that importing goods with undervalue was easy job?

Try to talk with some CHA see if they can clear if of, if they do then you have to ask fedex to send goods to your nearest airport and you clear get it cleared by your self.

Title: Re: Sending item back to Hobbyking because its stuck in India customs.
Post by: parichya.gautam on June 06, 2015, 05:27:11 PM
ok, i too hope it works out for me too :/

Current Status:

I have raised the request and ensured that its in their system ( after a long numerous chats and support tickets ) . They have acknowledged about the return to sender status of the shipment, and i have been assured that their management team is communication with fedex for the reverse shipment ( they said that the tracking status will change to return to sender once its processed )

ALONGSIDE, i have contacted FedEx too again, given the radios name specifically on the WPCs website and mentioned that this is a free band and there will not be any need of an NOC. Also, have provided them with docs earlier as they had asked.

Now, all i have to do is wait i guess, will go ahead with which ever confirmed course of action comes along.

What is the cost of this radio system??

Here is what you have to do, you have to write a letter to the deputy commisioner of custom, Delhi (if your goods are at delhi)

Saying that you are getting radio which works on 2.4Ghz and according to WPC 2.4Ghz is free frequency and does not require any license or any NOC.

You will find a relevant document on the WPC website about the same too. Just google about it. And send them the link also the document  from the WPC website too.

UPDATE:
I got an email from FeedEx before I could even send out this email.
Prior to this I had been requesting HK to request FEd Ex to return the shipment.
Fed Ex got in touch with me regarding this. They needed some conformation from my side for the same.
I have told them to forward the mail with the current request, explaining the 2.4Ghz radio and WPC reference etc. And should they still not clear it then I shall send them a noitice to send it back to HK.

Atleast this is going somewhere now. I will keep u guys posted.

No my ETA letter was not accepted.

I informed HK to recall the p[arcel, Fed Ex needed a letter from my end for the same, and within 24 hrs I was credited the amount I paid minus the shipping and handling fees.

Atleast the customs returned the parcel.

These are VERY VERY incriminatory evidence against Rcmumbai.com owners, who is openly threatening to use his connection with Customs to obstruct others importing items personally.

Such evidence, coupled with Customs behavior could be used in court to bring about justice.

One word. SCREW such Thuggs/Don posing as "LHS" and bringing a bad name to hobby. Shameful, pretty shameful

I am also facing same problem for past 2 years. On 2/5/15 Fedex told me that it was stuck at customs and I had to submit some documents. I did so but still it was useless. So I asked HK for a refund and I got one. So I thought that it would have been sent back to HK. But now it turns out that Fedex still has the package and wants me to clear it. Now I am not able to do anything about it.

Hey guys, apologies about posting in wrong thread, as i am not getting any replies on my thread and its kind of connected, all you guys here seem to have a lot of experience in dealing with customs. Just wanted to know if i order an PNF model from Hobbyking. Fomie with electronics installed (but no Rx) how likely is it that customs might hold it. I would be more than happy to buy from local stores as i usually do but it isn't available, its a new release. If it gets held can it be labeled as a toy aeroplane ?  or will it go under drones. how much % duty am i looking at ?   Thanks in advance.
