Yes because it is transmitter and they do not consider even if it can transmit signals or not because they do not know it.

Yeah customs will most probably seize it. Don't know current trend but few years back WPC had a approved list of Tx including the 2.4Ghz ones. IIRC 2.4Ghz band is unlicensed and free for public use because IEEE 802.11 i.e. WIFI requires 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. Don't know the current law regarding this spectrum after 2015.

Well, thanks for Judging so fast. You got lucky. Just search the forums relating to import of Rx/Tx and Quadcopters, you'll get to know what members here have been talking for years. Also please clarify the negativity in our comments. Finally, please read the Notices issued by DGCA, DGFT and other authorities, regarding the import and use of such products, on the respective websites.

-Regards

I had read all forums then i had come to conclusion giving wrong invoice importing drone and getting tx rx without permission is not good.
Getting other rc items is not difficult just you should have genuine reason .

Btw, who is misleading?

Also, are we talking here about Fedex or import via Indian Post/EMS? In any case its subject to customs at arrival. Fedex just does it on your behalf and charges the CD in invoice.

End use of 9XR Pro is as Transmitter when you hook up the RF module. No one is going to use it without an RFM. Even though it doesn't come with a Tx and Rx you will anyway get it separately and hook it up to use 9XR Pro. Did the customs open your parcel? Next time if you order it again and the customs guys open it for checking, you might have a good time explaining them even if it doesn't contain Tx and Rx. Some customs guys might understand what you are trying to convey but not all Customs guys are not RC hobbyists.

So, you are saying you didn't have to pay custom duty for like $75 dollar item. You again got lucky. Also If you have got from Hobbyking (which I assume) they devalue the parcels manytime. Don't tell you don't know what options they give while checkout. I have been charged CD for as low as a 35$ parcel. If they smell something fishy in the customs declaration they will open and reassess the parcel value and charge CD accordingly. Mumbai customs is a bit strict.

You have read all forums, but did you search on this forums regarding import of some specific RC Items? If not yet, please do so.

Different countries have different regulations for Import of drones and Tx/Rx Module. For e.g. check this notice : http://dgft.gov.in/Exim/2000/NOT/NOT16/Notification_No.16_(English).pdf Also this 2016 "DRAFT" when they proposed it : http://www.dgca.nic.in/misc/draft%20circular/AT_Circular%20-%20Civil_UAS(Draft%20April%202016).pdf In May 2016 DGCA has asked for public comments regarding that. Most of us here had sent our comments to DGCA.

-Regards.
