I am planning to make a discuss launch glider but all the gliders i have seen have a cross tail.
I want to know why can't i use a conventional tail. Any help would be appreciate.

To minimise weight for rudder and elevator, control rods are not used I instead spring is used in both the control surface to deflect it on one side and nylon string are used by servos to move the elevator and rudder.
