Hii everyone . I am new to RC world.
I have FS-i6 transmitter and reciever.
My query is that when the quadcopter is idle and the error % reaches 99% . For how long will the transmitter recieve the signal from quadcopter if someone looses it.
Please help i lost mu quadcopter in fields .

As long as your quad is on and the wiring is intact ( which probably won't be ) your quad gets a signal from tx.

Then it is most probably taken by someone as i was able to get  rx battery info on display even after 20 min. When i loose my quad.

Which autopilot u used?

I was using fs-i6 transmitter amd reciever.
Kk 2.1.5 flight controller board.
A fully charged 4400mAh li po battery

If I was you , I wouldn't even use kk2. I would use a telemetry and APM/pixhawk in a laptop or phone even if I don't use a radio. If I want to reduce the mess, would have gone with naze

So is it right that the rx will stop sending signal only if the wire is disconnected

Yes of course, and how do you get a signal from Rx ? I believe that FSi6 is not a telemetry enabled tx and only the Rx receives and tx sends. Do you have a telemetry extra?

Sir i don't have that much knowledge.
But my transmitter has display when connected with the quad i recieve tx and rx battery status along with that it shows error value . So by error percentage i would be able to know my quad position. But the error percentage was gone at a sudden after 10 min.

Oh see, was your quad on sight while flying ? And did you try to fly after it was lost ie, was your throttle up when u crashed it? Did you use FPV?

No i was not using FPV. Bcz it was out of my budget.
And yes it was in sight when it crashed bcz i searched the while place and around places also .
The surrounding area was not empty As i live in village so u can understand . The fields are having crops at this time of year . And yes i tried to arm it and move the throttle for one or 2 times.But couldn't hear anything .

So, your quad may have had a shake and your battery may have ran out. I understand the loss you have got, it has happened to me too. Some fool will take that and get it to his house and will understand that it is not useful for him. Next time,buy a vtx and Rx and also telemetry if possible, if u had an osd , you could have had the coordinates of the quad even if it crashed.

Sir , it had not gone too far .
It has hardly 20-30 m away.
But there are sugarcane farms all around.
That's why i could not find it in
So to install vtx do i need to get new transmitter.
If is it so then what will be the cost of it.
Sir one more query . Is it possible to install gps with kk 2.1.5board

Bro , don't call me sir , I'm just 17. You don't need a new transmitter.  Since u have a 2.4 GHz tx, you need a vtx of any other frequency. Get a 5.8 GHz vtx and Rx and a camera. All of it nearly 5k. Then in the autopilot, kk 2 is the most beginner type. I think you should buy a dji NAZA. It works pretty well. With GPS. Or you could buy an APM clone and use it,but APM is a bit more professional and you need a laptop or phone (laptop better ) and telemetry to fly it with waypoints. Without waypoints you don't need laptop. It flies just like kk2 and also use GPS lock and RTH etc.

Okay bro .
But naza is very much expensive .
I got all the equipments with 4400mAh battery for only 12000 /- and dji naza with gps alone costs 15000/- i can handle the vtx and the camera but naza is beyond budget right now.so the rx will be same of 6 ch. Of FS-i6??
And also one thing do i need laptop to configure naza for first time flight or it comes with default config.

If Naza off the line, then go for APM 2.8 clone, it is almost as good and lasting as the old APM. I can help you with APM.

Bro, vtx and vtx different from tx and Rx. You put rx and vtx on the quad and Rx and vtx with you  , so your Tx will send messages to ur rx in quad to control it. Then ur vtx in quad captures live feed from your camera and send it to vtx with you which is connected to a display. Makes sense?

So do i need a laptop to config APM or can it be done with my smartphone or not??
Another query bro. Is kk that much bad for a quadcopter as it can be config. Without laptop and is cheaper also.
And last query . It might be personal . How do u come across all this knowledge u gave me so far. U know much abt these . Is the source you tube or other . Please let me know.

It's the experience, youtube especially painless 360 helped me setup basic stuff, then I read rc articles on the internet, we will have doubt till we set things up on ourselves. After that , it all comes to experience. I have had a lot of trouble starting up. Now I can do many new things with just some parts.
Let's come to your question.
Yes you need a laptop or pc to configure a firmware on apm. Kk not bad at all. It is very good for newbies.It is just not that pro.

As i was again going to purchase it for making the new quad.
