I realized that the option that shows when a post was last modified was disabled on RC India.  I have enabled it now.

Please do not panic if you see "last edited by anwar at xxxx" against a post you made    This may be done to handle a variety of cases.  The most common reason why your post may be edited is to reduce the amount of text that is quoted from previous posts in the same thread.  For example, someone may ask 3 questions in one post, and you use the "Quote" option to reply to only one of the questions asked.  In this case, if you did not remove the other 2 questions from the quoted post yourself, I may end up editing them.

Quoting text unnecessary really affects the beauty of the forum (or so I believe ).

I request everyone to quote only the minimum/required amount of text, as to avoid unnecessary duplication of text.

Also, if you are responding to a post directly above in any thread, use the blue "REPLY" button instead of the small "Quote" button/option.  This also reduces the amount of unnecessary quotes
