Customs depend on your the luck you have and also on the price of the radio.
I would definitelly recommend you a FrSky radio as they use the Sbus on the reciever which is widely acepted in most flight controllers (F3 or F4).

This is one of the most famous currently:

Please note that this is quite expensive as this does NOT include the receiver! (But is a great radio)

If you want to go for something more affordable I would go for the FS-i6:

I do actually have the FS-CT6b which is the previous version of this radio and is just great, even though it is quite cheap, the output power is actually the maximum allowed and will get you a range of 1Km (aprox).

The link above includes the ibus receiver which can also work on most of the flight controllers (some of them may need some configuration change) but you can also get the radio and then get whatever receiver suits your needs:

Radio Alone:

Hope this help!!

just another comment! Even thoug currently the FS-CT6B is around 25$, I would not get the FS-CT6B now as this only has PWM output which is not really supported with current flight controllers. I would go for the FS-i6  Wink
