Title: Three cheers for RcIndia.
Post by: gauravag on May 13, 2009, 04:13:20 PM
Guys,
I just wanted to pass on my thanks and appreciation to RcIndia for being such an open forum where everyone is free to share and exchange views.

My experience with other RC forums in India has not been very good, where the owners keep promoting their products and we cannot share links and information with newcomers and beginners, who need information so much.

I hope many other members join this forum, or move to this "open" platform, and make this a valuable resource for RC enthusiasts in India.

Wish this forum all the best,
Gaurav

That is precisely why I started this forum  !

Otherwise I would have been really happy just being an occassionally contributing member in one of the other forums !  8-)

We are growing, but I do feel that a lot of beginners still do not know about the sweepstakes we are running :-(  And I do not want to break the rules of the other forums by posting details of these raffles over there.

PLEASE HELP SPREAD THE WORD !

Yes, we are all trying. I refer your site to everyone who comes by me.
Also, apart from getting the beginners, we need some experienced people here also.

There are only a handful of enthusiasts in India, and sooner or later they would come to this forum, due the opennes and ability to ask questions.
Easy example is like i want to buy some digital servos. Now with RCIndia, i could easily port it without getting barred from the forum. Its helpful for everyone.

The other forum just seems to have too much of  "Excessive Moderation".

A forum means open discussion by definition  ;D

the other one as per me is  group discussion and not a forum  as it does not qualify by the basic definition itself.

The basic objective of a forum is to enhance awareness not prevent spread of information.

We Indians cannot post about our products  but Castel Creations , and a few international members can post and advertise about any specific products.

The name Radical works , RC Dhamaka ( , pay less etc will appear as ***  same with Hobby city , but tower , hobby lobby  horizon etc is not an issue .

Gaurav do you call this moderation.

It is an excuse for a forum I have had quite a few posts of mine completely deleted in fact I once mentioned my phone no. as some one asked for it and that was deleted.

Anwar this is a great move  {:)}

Its true that there are only a hand full of enthusiasts in India.. But the truth is many are yet to know about this hobby.. The hobby is hidden... Unlike foregin countries, in India RC is treated as kids stuff (non enthusiasts)... I have been criticised ever since i entered the hobby... But still found many guys interested among them.. The hobby need to be brought to light.. People should be made aware of its existence... The only way is through public exhibition...
