Title: Unable to login
Post by: ankur on January 29, 2010, 09:57:22 PM
i have been unable to login a long time in  past as when i enter my user id/pass it say "unable to login, check cookie settings" or similar
this has been happening even after adding the site to safe list, turning off all firewalls and allowing all cookies
i earlier used to login from my home PC[having win 7] but i blew it north-bridge[mobo] so it stopped working
then i tried logging in from abt 20 laptops and PC have ~6 different connections but none worked[all using win xp and vista]
however using this laptop[my brothers dell studio 15 having win 7] i m able to log in
the brower i used to login were google chrome, microsoft ie and firefox[usually did a successful login from this and my pc using chrome and ie]
so please help me out

Ankur - No one else has reported this, so it is clear that it is a local problem. If you are still able to reproduce the problem, please attach a screenshot of what you are seeing to this thread, and I will try to figure out what is going on.

I may need to log into your machine using TeamViewer or something to see exactly what is going wrong.

I thought if you go back to one of the other laptops, it is still reproducible ?

The first rule in IT support is that you need to provide EXACT error messages.  Not something like "I think it is something related to cookies"  :giggle:

seriously overclocked it and put a lot of stress of mid endd gaming [unreal 2004] along with a antivirus  scanning my hdds[160 gb +500 gb] made it go mad and burned the north bridge just before the processor was going to burn[temp of nb- 90 C and processor-85 C][mobo-jetway 945gc and processor-c2d e4500 @2.2 ghz normally running at 2.5 ghz]
a good way to get rid of a old weak mobo >:D >:D ;D :giggle: ;)

anyways now i m logging in using my brothers laptop[dell studio 15] but just for today as he'll go today
so from tomorrow will have to get a substitute cpu while i get something done with that one
so currently having no issues using this lapt but think it will start over again as i change the device

anwar bhaiya, can u give me ur email so that i can tell u and give a screenshot when unable to access
i sent a email to the forum address but didn't got a reply when i was not able to access my account
