Greetz to All..

Good news for all beginners, foam, heli and <.30 size -electric flyers.  
A new field has been identified at the heart of ECity. Thumbs Up

We(Myself, Sunil and Ujjwal) did a couple of flying rounds today and it looks good.  Clap
Thanks to Sunil for suggesting this place.

+ Would be great for flyers from south bangalore. Around 30-40 Kms to and fro.
+ Ideal for 'crash n learn' with grass and small bushes all around.
+ No water loggin and swamps (like Hoskote lake bed)
+ No cop (or other) troubles (like.. you know this)
- No runway like path at the moment (expect for a short stretch of cricket play).
- No entry-road for 4 wheeler vehicles into the field.

Note:
Details like entry, maps, pics, video, field dimensions etc etc etc will soon follow.
Other appropriate 'RC Locations and Clubs' threads will be updated soon to reflect more about this.

Sunil or Drone - Can you create an annotated map, showing how to access this place ?  Like where to park your car and how to proceed from there etc ?

I have been waiting for my 1000 post to carry something meaningful.

The field is fantastic for foamies - 3-4 feet tall grass almost everywhere, not much of bystanders, vast open area on both North and South sides.

The video below is that of Hobby King Mini Swift - hand launched by Drone (Abby) and filmed by Phoenix (Sunil) and yours truly on the radio.

The plane has moderate to good wind penetration for the day's wind of  around 10-12 knots on the ground and little more above the surface. This was the first plane I trimmed myself, after Ashta sir did a fine work for my Estratos.

Hope to finish by 3DBatix Diablo for next weekend flying.

Looking good  Drool. As long as people dont flock, it should be ok to fly a 450/500. BTW my tea racer should be ready by this week end.

BTW -Ujjwal. if your ESC/electronics is not working after the watery crash last saturday let me know, U can take new ones from me.

@Ashta Sir! You make such micro planes fly! This plane was considerably bigger. Since it rained heavily that Hoskote would have been even worse now. Do you plan to join us at Electronic City ?

@Vinay, Thanks for the concern. I gave you the control with all liability on myself. You would see interesting pics of my Estratos reconstruction soon.
It was a double jeopardy - Both myself new in flying and Sunil had a brand new HandyCam. Tracking a flying object and keeping in focus is not easy. You need lots of patience. Would love to see your TeaRacer. hope you would serve it Hot!

Its not about liability. Its about having fun. If I destroys others plane, It would be my resposibility to pay back the money. I am doing this to keep myself safe, especially when u start learning helis Cheesy and want to borrow mine. Coz heli crashes would be much more expensive. Wink

Just kidding lol.

Let me know if the ESC is working or craped.
