An beautiful and young easystar of a fellow flyer was lost at the pancard flying field last sunday. This tragedy happened when the planes elevator stopped responding. Strong head winds kept pushing the plane backwards and higher. Finally to the horror of everyone watching, the plane started spiraling and crashed behind baner hill. A search party was launched but the plane was no where to be found. RIP.

Guys fly at Pancards Club only on weekends 8am till about11 am. Its unlikely you would find any one in the afternoon or on weekdays. Why dont you call Praddy Sir, Ranjeet Sir or Amit Singh and coordinate? I have sent their numbers via PM. They will surely help you out :hatsoff:.

What is the control mechanism for the trike ? 

Its basically weight shift; the body of the trike hangs at cg point of the wing. two servos in elevon mixing move the weight w.r.t the wing.

I am so saddened by this news. Mr. Bhole was the one who taught my friend and me flying. He charged us a small fee for his services. This fees would have just about covered his fuel expenses to and fro from the field where we learnt. It just showed his passion and commitment towards the hobby. We had fun learning under him and we could see him enjoy it aswell. I am so shocked by his demise. We have lost a wonderful teacher and a fun loving soul.

My condolences to the grieving !!!!!

everybody was very enthusiastic about yesterday's night flying but very few showed up!!!
me, Amar, Amit, Samarth, Ankur and Anuj...everybody put up some LEDs ont he planes and wow what a wonderful sight....

Hi Everyone. Looking to start flying Baner or any other field in Pune.

Is flying on weekdays not allowed at all?

You can fly whenever you want but flying alone at the baner field is not advised of couple of reasons: 1. The locals have raised safety concerns and it will be difficult for you to deal with them alone. 2. You will be flying without a spotter which is not safe. Apart from this there is no one stopping you. But always remember that you are representing a community whenever you are flying at a public spot.

I have been travelling and not really getting the time to start on this hobby after my only visit at the baner field with my little son and his thermacol aircraft. But recently my wife gifted me a RC Glider from RCBazzar. So I now need to do the justice and get expert some help to get airbourne..

I am a beginner and enthusiastic about aeromodelling. To begin with, I started practicing on simulator using RC7 controller.
I visited the Baner location at 17th and 18th May 2014 in the morning to see people flying plane between 6 - 9 am but had to end up watching people playing cricket as I could not find any aeromodeler.

which plane do you have? I wanted to get into RC thing but never got chance to hands on RC plane. if you can add me to gtalk we can talk more on this. I am currently looking for 2.4 ghz transmitter in pune. Any idea where can I get it?

if u r new to rc then u must learn stimulator flying !! and then go for a real rc flying !!

(With my basic understanding of RC I can see transmitter is long term investment, so it should have advance feature for future uses)

 

if u want future proof with good quality and a great software get the JR XG6 from rcdhamaka ...or if u dont wanna put in so much money the frsky and avionic tx are also good at rcbazaar...if u plan on staying in this hobby for long and want to build ur flying skills and want  a reliable tx get the JR u cant connect sim dongle via aux ....

For beginners who plan to increase their fleet of aircraft's in future , i would suggest spectrum dx6 radio or the tutnigy 9xr which has cheaper receivers for your additional fleet, both the radios are extremely reliable ..JR is recommended for people with 1 or 2 models or else you will end up spending 2 times the radio amount for extra receivers ,,,

I purchased PNP box of SkySurfer v3 from RCBazaar Pune, it came with everything 2200mAh battery and 20A ESC (supposed to be 30, as mentioned on their video). Im using RCBi 6ch radio.

Yes, prop is correct. The store keeper Mr. Farooq himself placed it, and I anyway have the L-key with me to tighten it up.

I generally visit Baner area - pan card club on weekdays only early morning. The place is good for quads at-least.
Heard that people do come on weekends with quads, cars and planes around 8-9am.

Do we need to buy pancard club membership ??? And do you still fly on every sunday at 9 ???

I believe pan card club is no more. The last time I visited the field the club seemed in ruins. The field in front of it has shrunk a lot due to buildings.

May be I am the only one who last visited that place few months back.

I have few fields in mind in the west part of the city. If you are interested pls DM me.

Anyone still flying at the place or moved to another place??

I am flying there but I don't see anyone and I was threatned by three people as they  broke my airplane ,
Is the pancard flyers group still active if yes please give me new contact of the person ,
I personally suggest that don't fly alone .

No body flies at baner these days....field went to constructions...I know few fields....fly in one of them... but they are not within city limits.... pm me if any one interested.
