when i was in Delhi i met with gireesh who is rc flyer he told they often fly near to noida (some sector may be 63 or 163)and also sometimes near gurgaon near to some village!

this is bhondsi fields on gurgaon sohna road near delhi.

this is about 40 kms from delhi and about 15-20 areomodlers meet ther every sunday morning .

Thank you Puneet.  I updated the title, so that people looking for a field with regular action in the Delhi area can find it easily.

If people were to point out the location in Google earth, I feel it would be really useful to create a "mega list of RC fields" in India (like the "mega list of RC shops"). What say ? ;) :headscratch:

but a question-
how do we point a certain 'untagged' location on google earth?
and how do we tag a location for everyone?

It can be done ankur, We need to know the Lang and Lat values for a place and which is easy to find... And then we can add the map with pointer pointing the location of field.

Just imagine, how it would be, If we have complete list of RC fields with its map???

This is a nice field with some nice landscape picturesque views. I flew with Kuldip Gangwani and Karma on my visit in May last year.

 My only concern here was the village children playing cricket not so far from the flyers.

I dread to think the damage a dead stick or a faulty receiver accident can cause, but as they say if there is God, it lives only in India. So be lucky flyers.....

Most of them made path/route annotations on the maps, so that it is easier for people to know exactly where to park and where to fly.

Just for your info a new field that looks a treat is now open for flying... thanks to Ramesh Tahlan for the info supplied.... and the images from his FBK...... He has been sent an invite to become a member of this group.
 "Deepak, on DELHI-ROHTAK road when u r going from delhi to rohtak, u reach Mundka metro station, and at the station u find pillar no 146, red light turn right and cross the rail crossing, and immediately turn left, 1.5km from here is the field on the right.

   Thanks to a handful of Delhi modellers, Raju, Dinesh, Bobby, we have a new flying field in Delhi, and no obstructions. Great.

  Lets hope the guys can develop it a bit better, the power mud there needs to settle down with one or two full water tankers.

BTW Jamal the main actor in that film is a great guy. He was bold enough to trust a complete stranger like me and hand over his controls when I visited them last year.

One of my dear friend, Mr. Gopi from Hyderabad is in Delhi presently. He is a PPL and owns the "Flytech aviation", flying academy in Hyderabad. He wishes to visit any RC flying field this Saturday (July 31) or Sunday (Aug 01) in Delhi. He himself is an avid aeromodeller and currently working on his turbine model project.  :salute:

If there are some volunteers who could help him getting to the field, it would be great. He wishes to join for any of these days just as a spectator.

Since I am not acquainted with RC people in Delhi, would request anyone kind enough to guide him to the location.

my mob no 9958666996. I stay in Dwark near  Delhi airport. Do tell Gopi to get in touch, we fly near Metro stn Mundka, pillar no 535 on delhi - rohtak rd, and 14 km for Punjabi Bagh.
Would be a pleasure to have him over. the field is 1 km from metro stn, and if he can reach Mundka stn i will pick him up. Any idea where he would be staying.

Gopi could not come today for flying as it was raining, but we guys being mad went anyway and were at the field by 7.15, we managed to fly in 2 installments, i put in 4 sorties, and then has to pack up at 11 cause it looking like it would rain for the whole day, and now the sun is out if full blast lol. We now planning to go fly on Wednesday, and Gopi may try to come if he does not go back by wednesday. His location is very close to the flying field.

also managed to have sudhanshu jee's special idlies and sandwitches from sandeep sir before packing up for the day.

that will be great, we reach by 7.15 to 7.30 and end by 9.30 on wednesdays. for me it is  basically a heli day, and will be having my raptor 50 and TZ V2 90.

Originally I had planned 2 Sundays in Delhi, one for each field, Mundka and Bhondsi but I fell ill with Delhi Belly  :(   :help: on the Sunday and I had to fly out Monday morning so could not meet Ramesh and others at Mundka/Noida.

The guys at Bhondsi were very welcoming as usual... we met as if we had known each other for years... soft drinks and food was flowing in from all directions.... (:|~ wow... thank you  :salute:.

Must add many thanks to Jamal and Sandy for trusting me and letting me fly their prized possessions...  :thumbsup: :bow:

I did let Jamal down though... Hope he is not mad at me still... :headscratch:

Roet braved it out with his 50cc ... he did try to back out saying its too windy!!! :thumbsup:
Manyu was there with his rolling circuits on the 50cc and you see Ravi flying the Heli.
Puneet and Karma were there too... So were Deepak and Ram learning from Jamal till I butted in..
I apologise for forgetting so many names ... I wonder if there are going to be any idlys and sandwiches for me on the next run....  8-)
