Hi Guys,

I have been to the race course at Mahalaxmi in Mumbai a few times and surprised it is not listed here.  Head Scratching Any of us here visits this place regularly? Reason for asking is also that I have a few guests coming from out of state and want to send them here this weekend. They wish to see the stuff and interact with the members / know more abt RC aero modelling in general. Any help / leads will be appreciated... Help Me Help Me Help Me

I am a regular at Mahalakshmi and would be happy to entertain you and your guests. Lately I have started to visit on Saturdays as there are    - relatively - few fliers. But am there most Sundays too.

Please call me: 98202 84641 and let me know. Entry is being delayed till after 10.00 A.M., the last few weeks. And we have to pack up at least an hour & a half before the first race.

As of last Staurday, all flying activity has been banned at Mahalkshmi. A directive from the Police Commissioner states that this will remain in force until Kasab's trial is over. That would mean an indefinite time, but a couple of years at least!!

I left town for the weekend. A few went to Airoli which is off the Eastern Express highway, between Thane and Mulund. There is a plot that we have been looking at. It belongs to the MIDC and needs some work, though it is "usable" now. It is also quite far for many people. But, I suppose, "flying ke liye kuchh be karega" !!

Will keep you posted as things develop.

It seems the bad luck is catching up..

Pawan Hans Helicopters Limited (PHHL) has taken over the ground where all the guys in pune fly their rc planes. Since it would be a private land now chances of rc flying on that ground would be but to impossible..

hi,

members of pune aeromodellers association enjoy flying at hadapsar, gliding center all round 365 days. whoever put that quote of pawan hans taking up has no full knowledge on what is happening in the premises. i myself fly everyday morning with full persmission and support from the officials of gliding center.

This summer gliding center will host a summer camp and provide information on aermodelling, paragliding and gliding.

hi,

Only members of PAA can fly at the gliding center 365 days from 6.00 am till 11.00 am  . aeromodel flying is not permitted once gliders start flying.

Friday and saturday being week off , we can fly the whole day.

Sunday the time is restricted till 10:30 am only as glider flying is open to general public for joyrides.
