Successful test flight yesterday at Aamby Valley airport.
Tech specs. 5 m wingspan all composite glider
AUW 15kg wet
Power - Wren Supersport 9kg thrust
This was one of those PERFECT test flights , 6-8knot headwind ,good Viz, 25deg C - In short couldn't make any more excuses
So pushed throttle forward to 1/3 , buddies Nishant and Chaty walked a few steps with the glider holding the wingtips up to prevent from scraping on the ground and in 4 ft I had full controls on ailerons and in few more feet I had lift off !!
Few beeps of right ail trim and then explore the flight envelope.
Flight envelope is amazing fast with  turbine ofcourse but power off all you need to do is push the nose down and she's moves !
Put her into the wind and slowed her to the stall & she slows down beautifully BUT once at the stalling speed she drops the left wing rather desperately.
Set up for landing , normal left hand circuit , 2-3 deg dive to keep speed up , no flap fly clean into final and pop the spoilers on short finals about 15ft from the ground.
Im absolutely astounded what the spoilers can do  ! This is my first experience with spoilers.
In the clean config the glider would have otherwise floated the length of the 8000ft runway , stopped almost at my feet !
some more pics coming up - sorry no vid this time

I always post 800x600, but keep it below 200kb.

I use IrfanView (4.28) to resize (image-> resize/resample) and step down to 800x600 and then in the save-as options for 'jpeg' select quality as 80%. That gives good enough quality with small enough size. 2MB pics can be brought down to 30-100 KB.

I use IrfanView (4.28) to resize (image-> resize/resample)

Irfan view -> File -> Batch conversion -> Add the files -> Advance Options -> Resize

I am using this little image viewer for over 14 years now (Win 95 era) And could not find any better quick viewer than this...
