IN THRUST WE TRUST.....!!

wanted to wait for gusty sir but could not hold my horses...!

as long as my understanding goes.

thats a "inverted snap to hover" maneuver

come in inverted--> ele stick up--> rud stick right--> aliron stick right--> corrections to proper hover ...

correct me if wrong  Salute

u are kinda right and kinda wrong.. snap is always done with same side aileron and rudder.. but when u are inverted this ... so it sticks opposite side rudder and ailerons.. BUT this particular maneuver is done with the input u have written up there.. only change u need to make is .. u need to release ailerons early here.. and delay rudder and elevator.. and u then ofcourse  correction for hover.. nice catch mate.. Smiley

p.s. u need super hugh surfaces and superstrong servos to execute it in real life.. did it last sunday... gusty sir was there too!!

yes u got it right.. but his isnt that neat.. u can do much better if u release ailerons on time..
its a very classy entry for torque rolls.. good luck with harrier rolls.. it will take time.. be patient.. n try to break down the maneuver to better understand it..

Great video. Again, I wonder about the dead reliability of the engines & fuel delivery systems; what do they use?

I've managed some of those moves but I don't call it 3D flying.  Instead my video is called 3D crashing Wink

@shadman- I would prefer a 3D plane anyday  Wink - maybe because they are the reasons that I was attracted to aeromodelling! The quads have been there for a long time but they cannot steal the spot of the extreme and maniacal 3D planes! Grin

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Becoming proficient at 3D flying (planes or helis) takes significant focus, time, effort/discipline and MONEY (especially in the case of helis!)  Smiley

People lack one or two of these, that keeps 99.9% out !

@anwar bhai.. why heli flyers always feel superior to log flyer (thats what they call planes.. LOG) serious racism.. lol.... .. i feel planes require equal concentration .. especially when it comes  to neat 3d routines..

I meant heli folks spend a lot more money than airplane folks in perfecting their art.  The reason is that you can become fairly good at 3D moves using a "flat out" foamie, but it is hard (if not impossible) to do the same with a really small heli.  And with larger helis, comes major crash costs.

And if you are not crashing, you are doing something wrong Giggle

haha +1 anwar bhai and fyi planes are not called logs they are called planks lol by heli fliers ...yes am not saying there is no effort in 3d flying regarding planes but it is propelled in one direction which become manageable to control and back out of a maneuver in case things go bad  ...helis behave like like intoxicated ppl if u try to correct in one direction they fall the other way there is no constant direction to them if u know what am trying to say  Grin lol

Dont crash Heli, Crash Tx

laws of aerodynamics helis cannot fly, ---- gliding characteristics a favor to planes  Smiley

Planes are like feel-good buddy movies and helis are like horror films... you just have to like being scared!
