Title: Technical requirements for low stall speed for fixed wingers
Post by: abhay on December 28, 2011, 11:00:19 PM
This is what every beginner shall be expecting.. I also need to know the requirements for low stall speed.. As far as i know there are two basic factors.
First, Angle of attack
Second, The wing loading (i.e. The loading per unit sq on wings/fuse as well in some cases.) Lower the wing loading, lesser the cruise speed we can attain.
I may be wrong..

So i need advise and other factors i may be missing.

Also Airfoil cross section matters as well. To decrease the Stall speed, an airfoil can be made under cambered.

Undercambered airfoil, like those 1223's and 423's, adding flaps and slats, Aspect Ratio
