Flying Doc's Tiger Sport 40 Crashed on 03.10.10 (Sunday) due to glitch.

Wow! I wish i had the skills to repair like yours,cauz even i crashed Extra260 last wednesday(13.10.10) due to elevator failure a few min after take off

Flew the low wing today. She lives to see another day.
It is nearly impossible to see the places where the repairs have been made.

The small 4 or 6 channel Corona receiver ?  You lost all control ?  Was the receiver responding properly right after the crash ?

Crash investigations are always fun and challenging !

One more suggestion... please do take intermediate pictures of your repairs next time Smiley

Test flown the Tiger with the same receiver & All izzz well now. At r field, some aera have interference problem. It happen at the time of take-off (10 fts) suddenly banked to right goes into a nose dive.

The Rx is RP8D1. 8 Ch dual synth corona. Full range. We do ge interferance at a couple of places on the field and we've noticed that he interferance is with 6 channel Tx. 9 Ch Tx in the same frequency band have no interferance. Strange but true.
Building is an art but rebuilding is a masters work. Great rebuild. I still can't get over the fact that my plane looks like it just came out of the box. Will get a few close up photographs soon.

It is hard to believe that it is the same model that had crashed soooo badly.
Harveer, its just amazing... you are too good with this. HATS OFF TO YOU !!! your repairs seem more precise than the laser cut and factory built. TOOOO good. !!!  Thumbs Up Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Doc, is it the same that we ordered through HK ? You still getting glitches on this Huh? I guess its high time you switch over to 2.4 Its not worth crashing such beautiful models.

Just because you have support of great people like Harveer does'nt mean you should be counting on them too much  Wink  Giggle....

I was just going through my photographs and came across the photographs taken on the field on the fateful day.
I'm sure the great rebuilding  and building skills of Harveer will be better appreciated by these new photographs.
Had a lovely day of flying today. Was much more comfortable flying the low wing than have ever been. I guess all because of a fabulous teacher and a great mentor. Not one to waste an opportunity, "Thank you, Harveer, for teaching me."
