Title: Using Right propeller on Engine
Post by: asinghatiya on March 04, 2013, 10:34:34 AM
Hi, I got a ASP 52 on my Arising Star. Before that I had OS46 on TT ready 40.

I found my planes always making more noice and less of power;  :banghead: on brand new engines.

Never realized or focused on the important part of the system "Propeller". I always taken 'propellers' for granted and thought its flying fine...untill yesterday when I got a appropriate porpeller for the engine.

 :o...whole scenario changed!!

Till now I was using 10x6 propeller for .52 ASP and yesterday I installed 12X6 on it. Sound decresed to atleast 40%, stability increased to about 70%....power increased about 50%... on 10X6 it was taking 70% throttle to take off and 12X6 it took off in 30% throttle.  :o......

I also purchased 11X7 and also installed it to test the difference. I found no significant difference in 10X6 and 11X7.

experts many like to explain which is the best Air Screw and why?
