My experience: V. Good. Placed three orders till now and they were shipped within 2 days if not the next day. Packing is professional. Online payment - don't worry, just take some time to make an NEFT. Communicates promptly over phone if required. btw, it's active.. :D Received my last order only 10 days ago..

One incident I would like to mention here. I bought a lipo once from Hobbysea. Due to time constraint I couldn't check it for almost a month. After one month when I opened the pack and checked, I found one cell dead. I called up Vineet and told him the situation. He immediately asked me to send back the lipo. I got a replacement very fast!!  :hatsoff:

So do not hesitate to buy at all. Yes, you have to do NEFT and call him to inform that you have done the payment.

Yes hobbysea is good. I have ordered 3 times. The only problem is there customer service. They don't update the order status to "payment received" after they got the money. You have to ask them "have you received the payment ???".
Also they will not give you tracking number themselves. You have to poke them "please give me the tracking number after you dispatch the product".

So only the customer service is lazy. Rest is Good.

Well said ,Mohit , this can be frustrating once you make the payment and wait :)I will be careful before jumping in with a big order.

I always order for less amount at my first order with any online seller. But hobbysea is good. You can contact them through email.

I have place my first order for a naze fc.But the whole process is difficult considering that you have to go to bank to do neft.It would have been super cool if they had online payment.

Now I have sent them few mails saying I have deposited money and have urged them to confirm the same. But last few mails are waiting replies.

I will keep updated .

Go to the bank ? I always transfer money through NEFT from my online account. No need to stand in queues and fill slips :)

I did that ,but as you said ,getting confirmation from his side is the problem,so far no response, tried calling- never picks up,Lets wait-I will update :headscratch:

Money is NOT THE ISSUE,the way customers are treated is a different game!

Its early to comment,I will keep updated,I went ahead only because of so many positive feedbacks, even from senior members,I hope the best.

Yes I told you that they are lazy after getting money. You have to poke them after every 2 hours. I am sure they will not dispatch your product today.

I wish people would realize that most of these small lhs are being handled by one man alone. They are taking the effort to get stuff for you, the least you can do is cut them some slack. If you don't like their service you don't have to buy from them there's no compulsion. Also with regard to this thread, if you simply searched the forum you would have found hobby sea is trusted. I myself ordered from them just yesterday and vineet called me up to confirm my order immediately .
The point is they are going out of their way to help us. The least we can do is have a little patience? Not everyone is flipkart and Amazon here...

Yes you are correct. Hobbysea is trusted website and the seller also. The point is communication from the lhs side. Obviously the buyer will communicate more because he has given his money. Me too have ordered 3 times from Hobbysea. I will give them 4 stars out of 5 :)

Well said Mohit.I have personal experience of placing several orders with Satya of quadkopters and Kumaran of Vibrant Hobbies. The best people to deal with. You can contact them freely ,they are always willing to help.

So being one man alone is not an excuse, its attitude that matters. :hatsoff:

Update ; Hobbysea sent me a reply stating that they will confirm about payment soon ,as it will take some time for transferred money to be visible in their account.

reading all above , following things should be considered

1.payment gateway (not going for it as it takes good additional cost ,and now most of the people use imps, rtgs and neft ).
and you can also do a/c to a/c transfer just by visiting nearest ATM.
will surely give it a try if sales goes up ,i think this hobby needs more time to get spread in india ,specially in north india.

2.Regarding picking up the phone - people most of the time only call for technical help ,and no call will go less than 15 min(i am the only guy here who is into technical and hobby,so i have to take it ).so there are times that i am on call and another person calling me restlessly on another phone for the payment confirmation (may be it is his first time ,and yes i can understand how can i trust some one to put my money into his a/c).

sorry anil that you call was not answered , but mails are never left  unattended.

3.some times few parcels are shipped with a missing item, sometimes people place order and surprisingly there is no stock for that order , in that case we have to give them a call ,apologies and settle the case as customer say .

i know a guy named MR roman personally ,who is on this forum , MR roman so far have placed few orders in past  2 3 years ,BUT this is what happened

Ist order of mr ROMAN - placed order for zippy ,by mistake we sent him turnigy(same mah and it was bit more pricey but mr anthony was not ready to take it and we have to settle it on phone.

2nd order of mr ROMAN - 1 item was missing ,even we were embarrassed ,how can it happen to a same guy,
but thanks to him , he never get annoyed .

i think same case happened to mr MOHIT JINDAL , sorry mohit

first you do not get any update for the payment
secondly you do not get the tracking number

but would like to inform that no order can leave with out the tracking number update as it is a proof of shipment ,and we have to save it ,i accept sometimes it get delayed .

i summary  think it require more detailed steps or documentation  for the procedure of placing orders to our store , so that people do not worry about anything related to there order .

thank you for the trust , really working hard for getting  more  professional and honest .

trust us guys we are in a same  hurry to ship the parcel as you .

thankyou

@ hobbysea, thanks for clarfying things

But I never called you restlessly, of the two numbers , the one starting with " 8" was not reachable, the next number rang , but was never attended to.

Also, I tried calling you, only twice , that too few hours apart, first at 11.44 am and next at 4.59 pm.So saying that I called you " restlessly" is not fair >:(

hello hobbyists !!

payment gateway is coming.
no need to visit banks , initially every one  will receive a mail reply including a link which will redirects you to payment gateway and then you can pay by your debit/credit card.

i hope that payment making would be more easy once it get directly embedded to the website .

thankyou
