RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

If you wanted such a thread you should have started one.

That is exactly what I tried to do, your highness "I don't know anything about you, but I will make judgements" (exactly what I accused you of, just to expose the irony in it).  I live outside India 10 months a year, and have probably ordered once into India from HobbyKing. The rest of my orders go to Qatar.  That is why it is not possible for me to compile that list (at least the last 4 or 5 questions in Reply #3 of this thread) without statistics from forum members. Understand, little generous genius ?

Do you honestly believe your sacred site is that important to them.? I can assure you it's not. I'm sure they don't even know or care if it exists. They don't need you or your site, I'm sure they are going extremely well as it is.

As for your so called "sweepstakes" garbage. I think that's all it is. You are too worried about your retailers to do such a thing and I very much doubt HobbyKing would agree to it as they already have freebies in place and ALL members from every country can win. To them India is nothing special if anything they are seeing a growing problem with some who appears to be younger people from India try the Kalyan trick and scamming their system.

Here is some of the mail exchange between me and Chris of HobbyKing (you have to read it bottom-up). This is the first part, and the conversation has moved much further.  I even told them they don't need direct advertising here. Regardless of what "I have figured out how the world works" thinks, HobbyKing does think there is value in this site, and this country. So go figure it out, and find a an ever more miserable place to spend your time than being "kind" here.

Hi Anwar,
Our ads should be appearing through your site on adsense ... now ;-)
Having said that though, we may still be interested in advertising directly with you, especially if you were open to some type of exclusivity on certain forums. If you could provide me with some information such as analytics and prices I will look into it further. I’d also love to know what your goals and objectives for the forums are.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Chris -

Thank you for your interest in our site.  I believe HobbyKing ads are already appearing on our site via Google AdSense.  Are you still interested in discussing this further ?  We use OpenX to display custom ads on our site.

Good morning!

I am writing to inquire about advertising on your forums.

I work for a company that produces and sells equipment that would interest that audience.

If you are interested, could you please respond with Analytics statistics and prices regarding your site?

Kind regards,

I've earned enough money in my life and now it's time to give something back. I wonder if you can say the same.

I doubt it, you are more interested in having a forum to be yourself, your words. Not something for the members to make, something for YOU to make for yourself. No doubt that's where the "I AM" comes into it.

Even better, I was born into a situation where I did not have to work ever Giggle  In spite of that, I have made my own life, and continue to do so. Again, trumpeting how I help others is the last thing I want to do.  I do want to trumpet that I can't stand certain people. I take action on such people, and this is one reason this forum exists (that I could not stand the attitude of some people, that I had to start one of my own, and work hard in keeping up, despite having to deal with ones like yourself).

I have never said I refused to visit any parts of this forum, I would love to see the quote.

http://www.rcindia.org/radios-and-receivers/fms-cable-and-flysky-simulator/msg107856/#msg107856

Read the 4th paragraph.  You shouldn't be here Wink

You not once addressed the issue you immediately responded with "what about HobbyKing" Do you really think you are in the same league? You really are a sorry little man to even consider it. I have spoken to Hobbyking about their pirated software. In fact the very person you slammed, Mr. Hand became involved. It seems that China has never become party to any agreement to stop the sale of such items. Whereas your country, being one of the largest software pirates in the world, number 6 I believe and one of the top movie pirates of the world, has indeed signed an agreement and it's written into your laws. So once again mister High and bloody mighty you fall yet again on your arse.

In the same thread I have made it clear.

1.  If it is being sold in Indian stores, I will allow discussion and classified sales of it.

2.  More importantly, I see the US forums like RCGroups having similar discussions and sales of the same items. I will follow suit, and that is a judgement call I made (right or wrong).

But I will not do one thing. That is to dedicate my life to promote a store that sells the same item, just because China has no laws ? What a load of crap is that ? This is why I bring the "what about Hobbyking" question. Just to expose your double standards.  "Be a man" ([noembed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_sjNuFAMyHA[/noembed]), quit promoting Hobbyking and be true to yourself  Wink

I will not run away from you, I will walk away and forget all about you because that is what you deserve.
That is self contradictory... I was just starting to enjoy this tirade... come on... please come back to this thread. I BEG YOU !

I have just one thing to say. This forum is a part of our raison d'etre. It symbolises who we are and what we are passionate about. Whether it needs improvement or not can be flogged to death till kangaroos hatch eggs. I, for one, am very happy with the way things are. True,  occasionally I may scream and complain a little ( just a little  Giggle) but it is not out of disrespect towards Anwar Sahab. I think I speak for a large number of the fraternity here when I say that we are very happy with the way things are. Let it be.

What just happened, was offensive, to say the least. It has hurt the entire team.

Practice, and only Practice will make you perfect

Whereas your country, being one of the largest software pirates in the world,

I heard white pirates, thugs, scums and unwanted where whipped out of england and they replaced the sons of the soil, thus formed The now Downunder. I didn't say this M. M. Kaye a British in 'The Far Pavilions' said this. Which explains the lack of humility.

This software pirate nation (the guys who wrote all the softwares of the world, well, atleast the most of it) is The oldest civilization, cradle to many civilisations of the world. when Kalidasa wrote 'Meghadoot', cavemen lived in animal clothing in the British isles, hunting and scourging for food. The Stonehenge was a good 1200 years away. of course, it was long, long before 'Pirates had landed' down there. allegedly massacred the aboriginals (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_massacres_of_Indigenous_Australians), That is called the heights of piracy. Most of the Indian family tree dates back to generations. I wonder how many know (or care) who their grandfather was in the newly found place south of wales.

That's a good reply Gusty sir. But why is propfella going to the level of insulting the country, when the problem is quite personal? And why isn't he suspended even after talking so much crap?

Never ever opt for EMS. All parcels coming into India via EMS have to undergo Customs inspection. This is mandatory and that is where the trouble begins. This is not the case with Airmail / Regd. Airmail - often the Customs don't have a role to play here, unless your parcel is abnormally big or heavy.

Two should be fine. Even if there is a duty, it would be minimal. Anything more than two pieces is trouble.

If you need them urgently, better order one at a time.

Along with Credit Card and Debit Card you can also pay by PayPal.

You need to first register your debit or credit card to PayPal. Then use pay pal account for paying.

I have paid by PayPal for safer side and also observed PayPal takes additional 2$ for every transaction.

Don't think Paypal charges anything extra. Whatever is the order total, that is the amount charged.

Thanks for clarification Raja  Salute
Even I was under impression that it's addtional charges.

@rajibcic ,
You need to link your debit/credit card to paypal account no need to add money to paypal account.
I had tried to link my 4 different bank debit cards to paypal account but no of it worked for me even after multiple attempts  Bang Head .
When I linked my credit card surprisingly it worked in first attempt. Giggle
