there is a HK warehouse is UK... may be there is a store also present... have to search

i recently ordered this car on 8th, and the site says shipped on the same day!!

I declared the value of $45.98 (40% excluding shipping) and shipping $40

Shipment   Air Parcel (INDIA) 3000g - 3499g $35.72

But tracking no. is EE803206629CN, which i think is for EMS.

I made the payment on 8th and the car was shipped the same day.


Q1) I am confused because i opted and payed for air parcel shipping but i guess its the ems tracking
Q2) Will i face any custom hassle? It has no radio.

I don't think you will have a problem with clearance since there is no radio, and - more important - not an aircraft. At most they may question the valuation. I do not have any knowledge about Delhi but the customs at Mumbai EMS have been reasonable after I have presented my case, in person.

Thank you, i was talking to my dad (He is Superintendent, Customs and Central Excise, but his department is not custom clearence, he is in Inland Container Depot-ICD) and he had no idea about all of this stuff. And this is my first order through EMS, so i was really worried.

Hmm i guess there would be a duty applied as the value is more than 2000 INR (permissible limit of import price including shipping) but you wont face any hassle for sure 2 reasons:

Its not anything that flies
No Radio (Tx and Rx) included

But keep tracking your parcel using ips website.

I ordered some electronics on HK and got it shipped on 12/7/2012 ...today is 12/8/12
Then It reached my city clearing customs but haven't got parcel from the postman. What should i do ? Shall contact my local post office? If yes then what should i ask for?

I have never ordered via ems . But my guess is that, you should not face any custom hassles. I have never paid any duty for goods marked 100$ ., but that was not via ems.

I have over aiR mail shipped parcels around 50$ and i get them with no issues. I don't even track them for that matter.

perhaps someone who had shipped via ems can provide more accurate information. Best thing you can do now is track your parcel for updates.

I orederd ia air mail, but due to some reasons HK upgraded it to EMS.

Only reason i am worried is because the package is big and heavy (3.4Kgs)

I think there will be bigger parcels than the one you have ordered. So your claim that your parcel will attract customs attention may not be true
Hk Marks parcel as gift. I think its default since I don't specify everytime.
And i believe law permits duty free gifts worth 50$ at least. I don't remember the upper limit.

Speed also depends on the back orders. I can understand your anxiety. Be patient buddy, it left China yest . And will take some time.

Yea,i did visit hobbyking watch for inventory status and it had 36 of these cars in stock, i think, the shipment work is going as usual, but there is some delay in the updating of the status.

Okay. . When i said back orders i meant At the shipping office, Aka ems india.

Another thing,as far as i know there were consecutive holidays on Fri sat and sunday...so may be it would have delayed the whole update process...

Nothing to worry. I have recieved much much bigger boxes thru EMS. 5KG   I wish HK supported 10 KG EMS.

It all depends on local customs. Here in bangalore I had no issues.

Also sometime its not a good idea to declare very less value for big boxes.

And you dont have to worry as the other buddy said. no radio and no flying object - LOL.  

Hmmmm. Now you are tempting me to order a car
