Here I received the parcel this morning, and I can't beleive my eyes, this parcel got the franking of 20/12/2011, this is same parcel, which HK told me, they had posted on 01/12/2011, this is proof enough for HK's modus operandi

I don't understand why you continue to order from HK? You have been spreading a bad rep about them and recommending others to stay away .... and on the other hand you continue to buy from them

Hobbyking isn't 100% perfect just like the rest of the online hobby retailers.  However, I'm very satisfied with their level of service.  I just received a packgae yesterday with 5 lipos.  It took less than 2 weeks from placing the order to arriving and that inlcludes the lon route of Swiss Post with the packgae going all the way to Europe and then back to Asia!

It is more tougher for me to understand how people sitting far-2 away from me, can know that I had continued ordering to HK.This was my first order after long-2 time, after the incidence of missing items from my parcel, and that also on insistence of a friend.

And I think Pictures don't lie, if I am a liar, and want to spread a rumor intentionally.

But I suppose some people, here, are more concerned for this Chinese seller, than their own countrymen or fellow RCer.

I Presume this was my big mistake of putting a  heads up caution here.

I was trying to sell Mirrors in country of blinds.

I don't understand why you continue to order from HK? You have been spreading a bad rep about them and recommending others to stay away .... and on the other hand you continue to buy from them
Whats your modus operandi
Akshay never had problem with items HK sells, most of them not manufactured by them, but actually the policy, service level and honesty of HK folks.

Sometimes there is just not much option to order item from other, having used HK items and satisfied with the quality, its sometimes waste to test other waters. This is what makes many people like Akshay and me going back to HK. I have myself more than 50+ orders from HK, averaging $60-80 each. Only few instances where I was irked by HK's bad attitude. What troubles me more, is that the attitude of 'HK -Fanboys' (many with intention of earning reward points from HK) on HK Live forum, RCG and places like this, where they outwardly term the grievances of such customers as BS (I would not explain this acronym) .It is WE who are retarded by critisizing HK Bluffs and indifferance. Now to all such Fanboys  (few close to me too), your argument to defend such attitude of HK on the below grounds are complete BS to me and many :

1. HK receives 5000 orders a day (BS!! Get more staff! You dont increase discount on day with more sale!)
2. HK is already selling at the lowest price, so it cannot give gaurentee! (BS! Price is the ONLY USP HK has, it has to still provide protection of buyer's money)
3. HK does not provide postal insurance as it wants to save your money (Biggest BS!! HK does this as it itself grossly under invoice its sales to epic proportions, that it cannot  provide insurance from the Postal dept, while many, many other HK sellers provide, even e-bay ones!!)
4. It is HK/Swiss post responsible for delays in delivery. (Again biggest BS. Who do you think is more sophisticated in operation ? HK Post of Hobby King ? HK Post was one of the earliest computerized Postal systems. The 20-day fraud pointed out by Akshay in the above post is one of its glaring examples.)

I order from HK, I order from other Hongkong based sellers and those form  UK/US, specially Towerhobbies. But shipping wise, I have been most unsatisfied with HobbyKing. The very intent of such post like Akshay is make people know the truth and support other people raising grievances on HK Live and other communities. What I see is people blindly believe what  Lullaby HK sings from them and instead attack such sufferer. Unless people would retalieate, big houses like HK would continue to ride like on Lion.

First of all I can't say, I never had problem with Hobby king Items, Because hobby king don't manufacture any thing, but brand them.
The  items from Hobbyking which I had purchased and use more frequently are

1. 9 gms servos (which they brand as hextronics or HXT, is actually manufactured by Towerpro and are available cheaply else where on the internet, cheaper in price as well as shipping.)

2. Batteries, I know Hobby king's main USP is their batteries, and I have read good reviews about them on the forums world over, but Firstly I never had comfortable experience with Cheap Turnigy batteries (most of them are puffed, yes I keep voltage checker for field and charge them with best charger available in the market), Secondly, inrecent times there are concerns about HK batteries, I know about people's experiences where they have received puffed batteries from HK. And Lately I have started using Other Brand of Battery i.e Fullymax, and I can say they still have to get puffed, on being normally used with Turnigy batteries. And Further I found a Better Chinese battery manufacturer who have their on line store as well, and there are great reviews about their batteries.

3. Orange, Futaba compatible receivers, which are nothing but FRsky receivers, sold and branded by HK as Orange, These are, I can say for sure, are cheapest With HK.

Other than these I had bought misc. accessories from them and lately I found I can buy them through various other Chinese online sellers. Final Landing cost works out cheaper for me.

I have never used,1. Motors, 2. ESCs by Hobby king and I can say for sure I am very comfortable with my H.Wing ESCs. and Motors by RCT and Emax.

The Parcel in question is of covering films, as I mentioned a Friend insisted me (HA HA HA), for this order, to save my money. And couple of days down the line I discovered that there's a better source of films in China. So my next order of films will go there.

So I think, I have only one item left now which I can say for sure, I can still order from HK is Orange receiver.

I am not bothered how big or small seller is, if he/she have respect for me and my money, I certainly will be glad to buy from him/ her.

Hey Ujjwaana I think we are giving ground to many people FBoys in your words to earn more BPts from HK, So even who want to criticize, should be thank full to us HA HA HA.....................

RC India - Flying and racing with open minds !

Idi Amin's Guide to living with HobbyKing

1.  FACT: HobbyKing has changed this hobby more than any other single shop (at least in the past 3 years).  From fields in Qatar to Kerala to the US, I have personally witnessed people recommending it to others without any hesitation. It is pretty rare compared to the number of friends who use them that one hears complaints.

2.  FACT: HobbyKing is a cheap shop.  Many of their products are around average quality.  They have grown too big too fast, and have not kept up with their systems and procedures to handle the growth. Being a cheap shop, it can be intentional, or not ! But most people would rate many of their items as fairly good value for money.  Their exhaustive stock, aka "one stop shop", often acts as a driver for people to go to them compared to other similar shops, many of which are better than HobbyKing (at least until they also grow big!).

3.  FACT: Being a cheap shop, expect cheapness when anyone deals with HobbyKing. Lost parcels and other issues do happen to a small percent of their customers.  If they were widespread, this thread would have been dead ! Delays can be expected about half the time, and they come unannounced ! Plus being a cheap shop, it is often a long winding process to get resolution to complaints. Eating at the street cart vendor who uses the same bucket of water to wash all his plates from morning till evening has a different charm as compared eating at a five star place !

4.  FACT: If you want "reasonable" (which itself is debatable) purchasing experience, shop somewhere else. In other words, if *you* *want* a Tower like experience, shop at Tower (or many other places like it).  Let HobbyKing die a peaceful death !  Otherwise, deal with HobbyKing...  as in... be prepared to lose one out of about 100 parcels & be prepared to wait for 6 weeks on any given parcel after placement of order & be prepared to try many many times to get issues resolved  & be prepared to feel from time to time "hey... this hobby has become affordable".

Idi Amin feels better... now that it has all been said.

PS: Ordered some stuff from DealExtreme two weeks ago.  About 7 items, 5 of which said "In Stock", and 2 others said nothing but "Will ship in 5 to 7 days".  There was no mention of these products being "out of stock" or "backorder", otherwise people would hesitate at ordering.  Now after two weeks, the entire order is still in "backorder".  Of course, there is plan B, of canceling the order or Paypal dispute !

Moral of the story... you pay peanuts, you get monkeys.

Life is a biatch (spelling intentionally incorrect).

PPS: Ordered an Open Pilot Copter Control board from Australia.  Arrived in 4 days.  Life is great !

PPPS:  Wild mood swings today !

I ordered a watch and a clock, separately, from Deal Extreme. Both arrived, without duty payable, within a fortnight.

I believe the real villains - particularly w.r.t delays - are the local (Indian authorities/departments).

You could have bought the radio from anam bhaiya who has a deal of HK radio at a very reasonable price. This would have saved u from custom hassles.

Anam - Dude, if need be you can help sumeet, you have a good experience dealing with the Customs for the radios...

Could you please share Anam bhai's contact number please.....

Actually this is the normal time package (HK post) takes once HK Post (actually) receive them at POS and the items reaching the local FPO. You item still has to clear FPO before you can have your hands over it (something exotic?).

There have been 2 main culprits :

1. HK raising the invoice, generating the Tracking# and not handing over the package to HK Post(And please HK Fan boys, I can give you live proof of lies HK regularly indulge into putting the blame on HK Post which I consider more stream lined ).
2. Local FPO taking long to clear, some times even you need to visit them with invoice/letter.

My last item reached with in 10 days of HK posting it (and 17 days of order) as it somehow was  routed directly from IMC Delhi to my local I/B postoffice, skipping the FPO altogether!!

My parcel reached from Hong Kong to me in about 13 days, from date of postage, ie date of franking on my parcel.

@ foamybuilder, Yes this matter of joy and celebration if HK parcel reaches so early. I think there's going to be a big bash on field this Sunday.

HK can give you wrong stock status, can give you wrong track no. can eat your money can send you faulty products, and still people are ready to advocate for them, yeah that's what makes hobby king so great.
Just a simple question here, asked by a LHS owner to me, "Will People forgive me if I do same things as Hobby king does regularly ?"

I know Hobby king is certainly cheap but not inexpensive.

"Peanuts", no, my money is hard earned not earned by cheating people like Hobby king

Couldn't agree more with you. I just don't buy to the argument that HK is doing some kind of 'Charity' !
Infact they are doing kind of harm to the hobby, if you consider some long term repercussions (Okay!! We are used to cheap, low quality, knock off parts, but what about shutting down of legends like Webra?)...

Low prices are the **Only USP** of HK on Knock-off product. Period. They can't be in business with current SLA/wicked policy if they cease keeping knock offs and costlier branded items than Towers/Horizon/UK shops.

If you vouch on genuine, branded items like OS/Futaba/Spectrum/Hitec,I bet Towers is much cheaper, honest and fair esp to International buyers (almost 20-25% off on purchases over $100, and cheaper, faster shipment).

Open your  eyes... dont be a Gudda.... dont buy with closed eyes...

<To end, you would be fool to pay Walnuts for Knock-offs (which I proudly use only where sensible). knock-offs deserve Peanuts, which are still good source of protein and not trash.>
