i orderd Boscam 600mw 5.8Ghz Fpv setup from Quadkopters.com and they sent me a Defaulted Item Sad
without any Manual in either Tx or Rx!!
Packing was also very bad. When i received order it was squeezed and damaged Bang Head

sent them back Salute

ve patience. speak to satya sir first. also see what you ve written. first you ve mentioned he sent you a faulty piece. then you say the parcel was squeezed. that means the parcel was damaged during transit. so why directly blame that he sent you a faulty piece.

Prime example of Arm twisting the LHS without talking to them, giving them a chance to explain and make amends. there are none whom i know of, who aren't satisfied with the said LHS or Satya

I suggest do not engage in this Mud Slinging exercise, most if not all LHS are doing Yeoman service to this hobby, do some math see their margin vis-a-vis the dead stock that they have

Antriksh wats the problem with you man? you had raised the issue and i have asked you to sent the item back to testing and replacement. And about the manual did you checked the back of the box? all the wiring and channel description is written on the back of the box itself. If you are expecting a manual then download the pdf and print it.

We here make sure that every package that is sent is packed well but if its mishandled by courier team what can we do? None of our personal come for delivery personally at your place..

I am very very disappointed with this gesture of yours. With your first call itself i had said that you would get the faulty item replaced. thumbsdown to you.. Thumbs Down Thumbs Down Thumbs Down

Wow this is really unfair. I, like others had assumed the OP had received the product only recently and was just being quick to complain. It is disheartening to know that you are publicly complaining about an LHS 3 days after they agreed to take back and test the product Why would you do such a thing? I can assure you Satya Sir provide excellent support. He, along with some other excellent LHS, are doing a difficult very difficult job and are promoting the hobby in India. We need to understand this before being quick to attack them. And damage to the package is only the responsibility of the LHS if the packaging is unsatisfactory. Otherwise the fault lies with the shipping agency.

I agree to every bit mentioned in thread except that LHS are working on very less margins...
My personal view as i have seen costs on banggood, ali express, ebay.....talking of stock etc ..then that is what business is all about.
Its only my view and i am ok if people differ to think what i think.

Satya, my advice to you is to stay out of this. Don't comment any further. You've made us all happy in the past, now let the forum handle this. You don't have to prove anything to anyone.

1. @Antriksh - they sent you a 'faulty' item not a defaulted one. Please don't use English words if you don't know their meaning.

2. Satya has been with us for some years now and has delighted us with he has to offer.

3. Electronic items have little guarantee and even lesser warranty. Did you speak with the seller (Satya Gupta) before posting this attack on his reputation? He is a thorough gentleman and would have sorted out this issue in a jiffy.

In this case, Inventory holding cost is neglected by the using personal space & satisfaction of seller (hobbiest) "I have stock of ....." Wink
Bad Inventory is looked up by expert hobbyist and the % of bad inventory is very few Hats Off
Rejection is looked upon by SERVICE & Communication, and also satisfaction of mind of buyer (hobbyist). Hats Off

Otherwise, the price would reflect the points you mentioned. In a real management world, the satisfaction in terms of money does increase the yield of business I think and have to be considered. Of course, the low margin increases the no of happy customer and quantity of sales. Though the hobby market is very tiny, still.... Wink it cannot be neglected... the term hobby play a critical role here.. Am I right sir ?

Point what I meant was do business by selling hobby items but don't call it a Hobby seva on the pretext that LHS are selling at very low margins.

@rastsaurabh if you think these LHS have big enough margins then consider the fact that only one or two LHS import by sea, the rest import using FedEx, ems etc. Which itself is very costly, then there is customs duty (around 20-30%) on CIF(Cost + Insurance + Freight), then there typically will be comission that the larger courier company charges for getting the parcel cleared. Then there is still the cost of holding inventory,the risk of damage, what if the parcel never reaches the consignee (then the refund process will be very long as well) then there are multiple forms(Read: Red Tape) that may need to filled out. And on the context of you comparing to LHS to banggood, you need to understand how China functions, people who are into business get a huge number of benefits from the authorities, plus there are typically only one or two giant warehouses, from where about a gazillion companies operate. Very few online sellers have their own manufacturing or warehouses.. They typically are commission agents(wo get paid per piece sold). Plus ChinaPost provides a huge number of rebates to all businesses there to sip out parcels (exactly why shipping from China is cheap). Now in case a product does arrive damaged then the LHS will have to send it back which is not cheap typically. And then we have 14.5% VAT/CST applicable on all sales as well.  You need to understand that just because aliexpress or the Chinese sellers on eBay can put stuff at such cheap prices and survive others can too. Its just not possible.

Antriksh since i see "expert" badge i do not need to say much but whenever you buy something related to RC hobby always do study online before you buy something. Few items do not even come with manual like hd wingcam. but search online and you will get hundreds of words. when i bought sony ccd fpv cam it came with wrong polarity connector. i have had this information all ready so before powering it up first time i simply changed it to the correct polarity and it worked. if didn't read about polarity i might have bricked it instantly. so check properly online regatding your model number. make sure you have same frequency matching on tx and rx else it might only broadcast audio. QK is one of the best LHS i have ever seen and dealt with so you just need to send them back the item and their team will check if it faulty or settings/ wiring issue. Satya bro some sony ccd cams have wrong polarity connector, you might have heard this.

What's wrong is u have already settled it with Satya ,, why starting a thread after that.
Just an example is- Many times manuals etc depends on time of packing and its stock too - in China Ul get manual till it lasts in stock and after that no Manual til it's available again.

Edit- also it is completely ok to start threads against LHSes if they fail to find u a solution and are not in touch with u.

what is wrong in

there are few:
1. The title is misguiding, any new user (who mostly ready first first post) would just be miss guided about the said LHS.

2. You did not write the complete story,

    a. The first time you called and reported this, on the call itself i said i will send you replacement. Did not discussed anything about it only asked you if possible send a video (you did not mentioned about this)
    b. The time when you sent the mail, i immediately asked to send the full kit back so that we can test and replace the faulty item rather than just sending the camera and you again finding that its not working and send the item back. (you did not mentioned about this either)

3. What was the real bad experience did you had? was there gap in communication? did i not revert back to your mail promptly? was i not being supportive or co-operative? About the courier we really try very hard to make sure that goods that we ship would with stand even worse of the handling but we literally have no control over it since once it leaves our office we dont who would sit or sleep over it (i have seen the handling that happens)

Well Yes Actually in Some packages which i received (Not from Quadkopters.com or any LHS) was bend so were really damaged  dont know why? ? No offence to anyone but sometimes it also happens in Couriers.
