All parcels marked fragile or packed in a wooden box are put in a bag which have 100 others
Now there and 100 other bags in a vehicle
Each bag only having a label of from (city ) and to ( city )

So no matter what instructions we give or how many labels we put it all ends up in those bags which are thrown
No one lifts them
No one handles with care
Even if the packing is top notch it comes down to your luck (i belive )

For this matter a LHS writing handle with care  doesn't work
Only the way we pack helps out

But sometimes even the best packing won't help

I agree with you sir.As Putting Up Stickers like Fragile Or Handle with care doesnt help
And even i have seen that They Throw the  parcels while loading it on Truck and even on unloading inspite of that it may Contain any Fragile Item or something valueble article which may be emotionally Valueble to Someone but no They Never Understand it.(No offence to Couriers or India Post But Guys it does happen sometimes)
Aman.

Completely agreed i saw this in the post office itself(accompanied my mom for some work)...the unloaders were like a "Bori paakad" and he flung it to his colleague who missed it and their attitude "Kya yaar paakad nah ache se fekha tha! Chal doosra wala paakad!" Head Scratching Huh? Shocked....comparable to way the labourers unload cement "boris" from the truck(you'll know if you have seen one! Wink)

Well the cement bags  are still unloaded with a little fear of tearing open
But none and courier companies dispatch centres
Visit EMS customs if possible those people throw bags full of parcels from the stairs !!!
Fragile = Break it

EMS is pretty good here, I cannot agree with what chintal said about them. SpeedPost "articles" are sent out as he said: inside a bag that's thrown around because they expect nothing fragile in them and the amount of such bags they handle is very high. You are expected to send only items such as books and other non breakable things through it(the people at your local office not telling you might be another issue). This is the exact case with others as well, just that their routing process isn't public we don't know. If you ask EMS "Will this be thrown around in a bag during transit?" they won't lie.

There is a registered parcel service from India Post for such cases where your parcel is kept outside of the other things and it costs just the same. They are called send out parcels and should be available anywhere their mail van goes. I'm not saying they are perfect, but not certainly the image you're trying to portray. Things are changing and if you are willing to take a look, you will see them.
