I am planning to buy $40 worth of stuff from DealExtreme via PayPal. One of the items is a small IR Heli with gyro. What are your experiences with DealExtreme? Please elaborate.

Picture seems to be the same, but it does not guarantee to be a Swift Helicopter. Also the ebay ad has no mention of USB charging cable. I have asked the seller a question, waiting for the answer. Since I have not received a reply in 2 days, I guess the picture is only a decoy.

This more or less fits the DealExtreme description albeit at twice the price! Could it be that the pictures have been deliberately/accidentally interchanged? After all, it IS the same seller.

I don't always look 'far and wide', I just like to do my research thoroughly.

As per my earlier post, the seller just confirmed that the product being sold at Rs.1199/- (US$25.89) is NOT the same as the picture shown on the ebay page.. It is probably a cheaper Non Gyro substitute.

After mixed experience (some times cheap quality and late shipping), I have kind a stopped ordering from DealX.
They have the most pathetic customer service, no matter how many people they serve. I made my 2nd last order in Feb which they split in 3 different shipping. the middle one never arrived and the first had one item missing.DealX customer support ignored my repeated complaint until I blasted them(to support few other folks' similar complaint) on their Face Book community.  Some one managing their FB community contacted me and asked my order details, assuring he would escalate my case (why there is no escalation matrix on DealX site to begin with???). Since I already lost faith on them, I gave the details just in case...

One of the 3 missing item reached me after 2-3 weeks and I never heard back from them ever after for the remaining two items, which they told was out of stock.

Now, I am hopeless as ever before, and after learning similar stories from my fellow colleges who ordered cycling/trekking items from DealX, I have forgotten I ever ordered from them.

I ordered digi-camera 10 mp from dealextreme, but i never received my order so far.. So i reordered it from Chinabuye, an online store from China. I received ontime with free ship cost. Through paypal, payment i made easily and find its safe with them. When it comes to quality, its good one and brand sytlish. Rates are quite cheaper and has discount features.

Don't waste your time on the $100 reward survey. In the end they tell you, the reward is $100 worth of magazine subscription

Well i have ordered 3 times from them and yet have no complains about them...just make sure you are buying items in stock only.

finally received my sim cable after 27 days waiting from shipment date..didn't know tat their free shipping was this much fast(slow) lol..

You get HobbyKing items on an average of 21 days even after paying dearly. Dealxtreeme's 4 week on free shipment is not bad then. But let me warn you, DealX's shipping is even worse. They would delay indefinitely due to back order, split one big order into multiple shipment and then forget some item in the meanwhile. DealX shipment is the most pathetic I have ever experienced with score of HS/E-bay sellers.
