To the benefit of Electric RC flyers, here is the good News!!

EPP foam sheets will be made available at www.EppIndia.com . The website would go-live from 19th-July-2010 and for any immediate requirement we can be contacted at eppindia@gmail.com.

This material is not Depron or Biofoam. It's Expanded Polypropylene (EPP) which is tough, light , flexible foam ideal for constructing Electric 3D aircraft.

Size of the foam.

  9mm White EPP ( 1.3# ) 600mm x 1000mm.

EppIndia.

Photo of the sample EPP blocks attached.

Wow!! thats indeed a great great news.  Foam Sultans like Ashta would be rejoicing this evening! Now i have good reason to build the Hot wire foam cutter - the EPO/EPP in my AXN Floater really impressed me!!

Kindly put the rates for members benefit! Where can we pic them up in Bangalore ?
Would you be able to provide thicker sheets like 20-30mm ? I would love to hot wire carve the entire Semi-Symm aerofoil for wing from thicker sheets! Sick of heat forming/KFM foil with Depron!

Thanks for a overwhelming response..... Smiley

We can deliver any thickness of foam starting from 5mm.

The price of 9mm White EPP sheet ( 1.3# ) 600mm x 1000mm is Rs 450/-

We are trying to find out suitable courier agency who can ship this material anywhere in India. The main concern is the size of the sheet is bigger.

will post shortly where you can pick the material from Bangalore. Usually it would be one of the shops at Jayanagar shopping complex or will arrange to courier .

Nichrome wire will also be available since many of you would be interested in cutting the foam by hot wire .

Thats a good point put forward by Ramesh sir. Having seen so many kinds of foams, it would be great if EEPIndia put a closeup shot (Macro) and g/m*m*m (Density) of the foam so that people here may assess if the foam suffice our need.

Waiting the pic from your side Ramesh sir!

ujwanna,
not possibe to assess by images, u might as will be looking at the standard thermocole sheets u get in stationary stores for kids projects. It is only when u bend it totally and it does not break will u be able to make out the difference, if i put the two pieces in front of u, u will not be able to tell the difference. Have started replacing all my biofoem planes with EPP which i had imported at huge cost. but worth it, they will outlive me for sure.

u dont need nicrome or any hot wire to cut it. just buy a paper cutter with a brand new blade. and it cuts like going through butter.
