Title: Feedback on Indian hobbies
Post by: arunh on May 27, 2011, 11:20:00 AM
Hi,

I am a novice to RC and would like to know if anyone in the group has had a recent transaction with Indian Hobbies ( www.indianhobbies.com ) based in Pune? I am unable to reach them. Any help greatly appreciated

PS: Did search and I could only find feed back on Indian hobbies way back in 2010

Thanks,
Arun

Way back in 2010??? 2010 was just 5 months ago.
Any way I have dealt with them couple of times and they are good!

I have bought spektrum dx6i from them.
What are you planning to buy?

I think the owner is outside India till the end of this month. You can confirm this by emailing him, maybe he has a person here working for him.

My deal with them was good.

Thanks for the feedback, my inability to contact is probably because the owner is abroad...

I wanted to know about their, present status with Spektrum RC and also inquire about AR600 availability

Thanks,

Arun

One person being outside should not affect your ability to contact a store, so the question is HOW did you try to contact them ?  Email should/would be responded to, regardless.

Hi Anwar,

I believe so too as one person should not be an impediment to business

I have tried to contact them on the following co-ordinates.

by email:  info@indianhobbies.com;
"Contact us" Link on their website
Telephone:      +91-20-26699122
Mobile:         +91 9372246142 (switched off)

Hopeful to hear from them as they are the authorised dealers for Spektrum.

Arun

I have brought a few items and the dealings were good (prompt delivery, etc) although we had some bad relations earlier. Sadly not much car stuff.

So the mobile is switched off, but email and land line (during office hours) should work.  Was that not the case ?

hi,

the owner of Indian hobbies is in the states.

the business partner is no longer involved or worried about any new buyers.

hence no answers.

That is sad, for a store that consistently had good feedback.

Considered this
Most of the hobby shops/dealers are run by RC enthusiast themselves and this is not thier basic bread and butter.
I have seen even the dedicated RC /suppliers shops abroad take vacation. But yes they do put up advance notice

It was the same mistake by others like mPowerShopping etc.  You would expect leaving either a notice, or someone to at least respond to customer queries.

Finally I received a response that he would respond by once he is back from his trip, couple of days more.

Thanks for all your responses,

Arun

Hi guys,

I would suggest to create a "new topic" in http://www.indiarc.com/forum/ and put all your doubts and clarifications like "Refund", etc...

I guess the owner of indian hobbies "Mr. Sunil" checks it very often.

You may have a chance to get a quick reply.

In defence of the firm, you said you paid them today and you expect the engine to reach you ??
Should you not give them few days first to ship and then the stuff to reach you??

I wanted to share this again...  Still I've not yet received my order or refund from Indian Hobbies.
Had sent many emails, no progress....
It looks like he is not bothered abt small orders.  :)

becouse of some good experiences of few people with indian hobbies, i've not submited negative Transaction Rating...

Have you tried the suggestion in Reply #17 in this thread ?

Don mine Anwar, Let me ask you one question...

I've sent many emails to his email ID which was noted on the site, also i've sent PM through Rc India. I've called many times...
So, What is the use of trying #17? This would become other option, nothing else. :)

Moreover, may be If he would have been in some other country or may be had some other issues.. He would also have to take care of the
customers, Atleast, He should have reach me with some explanation....

Please never mine Anwar.. I've gone through pain on this, not in terms of money, but i felt bad on not given me proper responce on my order.

You really don't want to spend an extra 30 seconds ?

It's not the matter of 30 seconds Anwar, I've spent months on this issue, However, I've received a mail from sunil after posting #19 & 21.

:)Well, on the basis of what little I know of Sunil, he is not that type of guy :headscratch: (hopefully so). He seems to be abroad and the Indiarc.com & indian Hobbies are running on autopilot :banghead:, and the fuel is running out, probably.
I think you will get your money / material as soon as he is back from abroad and in to business.
This is only my opinion and the experiences of persons may vary. Let us hope for the best.

;>)  I believe him essaargee, My intension is not to critisize Indian Hobbies, but my concern is Mr.Sunil should have handover responsibilty to some one who take care of orders, & for people who love to buy from "Indian Hobbies".

I think you will get your money / material as soon as he is back from abroad and in to business.

Abount my money... aaaaa am sure i might get it infuture :>) , However, muuu.. thats it...;>)
