Title: Hobby King honestly putting a 'FAKE' label beside a Cloned product
Post by: ujjwaana on February 07, 2011, 03:28:00 PM
Dont know if the pressing IP issue raised by western country is more responsible, but first time HC has put a "(FAKE)" disclaimer beside a Cloned/Copied product. Interesting to see!!!

(Notice the product name at the top).

HobbyKing have been selling the cloned Imax for a few years now. The warning has been there for more than 2 years. I purchased the genuine Imax about 3 years ago from another dealer. It died after 2 months and I replaced it with the clone, it's still working and doing a good job. Not the best charger on the market but definitely suitable for someone strapped for cash.

I might add that I tried to get the original replaced under warranty. The seller totally ignored every email I sent to him.   Happy flying  ... Stu
