I thought of starting a thread about Hobby Stores that we have had GOOD experience with. (Incidentally, I was one of the early customers of THS, so i really feel sorry about their present reputation...) 1. RC Bazaar. Got a dud lipo with my Tiger Moth. Phoned them. Suresh said sent a video. I did. Battery replaced in 3 days with no questions asked. Returned them the dud lipo after one year. 2. Kinetic Hobbies. Vishal, the owner had sent me some stuff to evaluate. Sent back motor with video of problem. He took it up with manufacturers and sent me a replacement! A small short supply in next order made good at no cost! 3. Quadkopters. Everyone knows QK. Mr Satyagupta responds personally to queries/doubts. 4. Hobbysea. No idea about owners. But i bought some stuff. Price and delivery terrific. 5. Hobbypep. New shop. Got my first delivery today. Free shipping though shipping was over 10% of order value. Excellent response to call to owner. 6. Adiboy on this forum. I get 90% of my needs from him. He is a local so he delivers personally! Thanks to all of you guys. Keep it up. Never had a bad experience ...... I have personally contacted ,Velan Mani of vibrant hobbies and Staya Gupta of Quadkopters.Both are very friendly and helping minded persons...very positive :thumbsup: Indian Hobby shop on ebay is also an excellent seller ,fast shipment and good to communicate with in person....very supportive and understanding person. I have to ask them every time, " have you received the money ". Or Please inform me when you courier the products".
They don't update the order status themselves. I have to poke them every time after transferring the money. I don't think these RC stores get more than 3 orders per day. So handling 3 orders in one day is a tough work ??? Constantly updated right upto delivery. Very impressed! Going to be regular customer from now on.
RCBazaar in Jayanagar, Bangalore - was a regular adda for me simply because my office was right around the corner! :) Cant beat that for sheer convenience! Sadly no such equivalent place in Delhi! You know a local adda where one can meet with fellow scratch builders, stock up on parts...! RCBazaar - esp very good store for motors, quality at affordable price.Only online hobby store for depron. 2.HobbySea - even rare items , again wide variety of items, especially GWS props , TxRx at very affordable price. 3. Quadkopters- quality FPVs at affordable price. 4.RcHyper- quality escs at affordable price. 5.Robu.in- Turnigy lipos at very affordable price. 6.KineticHobbies- Quality items, but pay for its quality. 7. RCMumbai- less stock of quads nowadays, huge collection of FPV parts. 8. eBay- quality servos at affordable price 9.fab.to.lab- rare to find items ,reliable prompt delivery. 10..RCSportz- I think the owner is away for some other business. Quadkopters & RCHyper..... Great LHS, good pricing and fast shipping, very supportive. Have variety of items to offer.
2. Recently bought from Hobbysea. great communication, has some good items to offer. Bought 5040 props at dead cheap price...they seem to be made of adamantium :p 3. Kinetic hobbies.... mini floater is the first plane I have flown succesfully, the pricing is just awesome, there is NO PLANE available in India that cheap. 4. Indian Hobby Shop in ebay.in .... very good seller,ships items fast. 5. RCbazaar, good shop, I think it has the most variety of items than any other LHS in India, but the shipping charges for me (WB) kills. None of these shops have ever disappointed me, One can always buy from them with confidence. Might be import issue or something else.

Quadkopters - Great service, bought lots of things from him, got a bad ESC and he replaced it no questions asked. RCHyper - Great service, Kumaran is very nice and helpful Robu.in - Started by a senior of mine, very knowledgeable guy who will help you whenever you need, great service IHS - Great service, owner always available and helpful |
