Bottom line is Flipkart is one good thing that has happened to online retail in India after a long time. Even if someone has bought the helli/part, i'm sure they can easily return it (i believe they have a pickup service also) and get their money back. Yep I'm a fanboy

I have bought numerous books and stuff from them and never had any issue with them. Flipcart is definitely the flagship holder in India in online buying experience.

Sunlikestar, I beg your pardon but I don't share your enthusiastic optimism. I too have been a Flipkart customer and have purchased numerous books from them. All, excepting the last one, reached me without any hassles.

However, having been cheated once in the month of June and being very close to being duped again in July is a bit much - don't you think? I would rate Ebay as a far higher online retail portal with my 7 years of experience there.

If this Organisation can misrepresent one item, then they can do it with the others. Had this 'misrepresentation' occurred in the Western world, the Organisation would have been bled dry in lawsuits and settlements.

However, this is India and instead of standing united, we are bickering with each other, exhibiting a condescending attitude of 'choro yaar, ki farak painda - chalta hai' and heaping meaningless accolades on the erring party!

Maybe the other LHS in India deserve a better treatment at our hands when we turn blue in the face and shout ourselves hoarse and point accusing fingers at them if an allen key or a set of push rods or a deans plug connector doesn't arrive in the ARF / RTF package.

Frustrating, to say the least.

Friends, I got a call just now from Mr.Sagar from flipkart against my inquiry and he confirmed that everything (minus the AA batteries and charger) are included in the pack... He even told me that its a genuine Align product - the T-Rex 100..
I informed him that the original price is about USD 130 including the transmitter - to this he reiterated that its a genuine Align product and would be imported once I confirm my order...

Just hopping they put their act together soon and we can have one more LHS

Well If HK can give a similar (cloned) product for around Rs.2500/- then I am sure a big giant like Flipkart can give the same product for 1462/- even if it's not Align,

I am going to wait till someone actually get's one deliverd on COD ...clicks a picture and keeps it or returns it.

i actually was  hoping for a 450 class....  

later dropped the idea and cancelled the order finding out it was Trex 100..

but in case i did not get what i wanted i could have asked  for a refund... and if that did not workout well.... LAW suits always did help the costumers.. (specially when the seller is a registered indian company)

u can take them for a real ride... also u can ask a damage compensation for mentally disturbing you and cheating.... so in that case u can buy a Trex 700 nitro form FLIPKART for free....!

Hmmm... not sure why so much discussion about pricing, when the item is (was... not out of stock) from a genuine dealer whom I have dealt with a number of times was selling it for USD60.

Anwar Sir, I just wanted to highlight the main points of my conversation with flipkart's customer service representative and pricing was one of the point...hence, quoted the price..

I understand that $30 (or less than that) advertised by Flipkart sounds wrong, but then so does $130 instead.

Anwar Sir, I got the price from Align's website... USD 60 for the heli and USD 63 for the Tx (rounded to USD 130 rather than quoting the exact amount of USD 123), assuming that Tx would not be sold at the price point that flipkart has offered.. But today their CSR told me the unthinkable that Tx will be included with the heli...!!

I would, at the outset like to point out that, other than incredible (+ve) dealings with "flipkart" (henceforth referred to as FK, for convenience), I have no personal interest in the point/s I would like to make.

1. Why are we putting LHSs and  an extremely large, multi product, online store in the same basket?

2. To clarify the above, i would consider ALL the present LHS to be individually (with passion) driven with a small consumer base, which is relatively easily handled on a "one to one" basis. Yet, you will find, even them, with legitimate grievances on how buyers can be too demanding, and vice-versa.

3. Flipkart is big, beyond the apparent comprehension of many. There is - and cannot be - an "individual" to clarify things/sort out issues , immediately.

4. I DO understand the frustration - more than that, a let down for not getting Au for the price of Cu - but to put things in  perspective, a possible, major error,  may have taken place. I am confident that they will stand by refunds, if so.

Which is more than can be said of some dubious deals that have taken place here.

Why pretend to offer Au for the price of Cu or Pb for that matter? Till now we don't even know WHAT is on offer, Friend U Certainly Know, what I am talking about.

Not comparing any LHS "passionately driven by an individual" with a FK - just requesting for an impartial treatment in either case. 5 working days, one would presume, is enough time to clarify a single query - "What EXACTLY will I get if I pay Rs. 1462/-?"

This example, I hope is lucid - Let us consider that IF RCBazaar, RCDhamaka or RCforall (my apologies to these respected LHS) were to advertise a Genuine Futaba 14Ch TxRx for the price of a HK V2 Tx/Rx. Once you bought it, you received a Flysky 4 Ch Tx (with a money back guarantee, if not 100% satisfied). Would you be willing to brush it off as "What the hell, it was TGTBT, anyway I got my money back. Let's move on with life." Or will the LHS be dragged backward through a hedgerow of brambles on this very forum?

Will we then remember all the good deals/timely deliveries/discounted rates that we have enjoyed,in the past, from this particular LHS and forgive him for this one folly? I doubt it. I am taking about an equality in our thoughts and actions.

In Bengali, there is a proverb - "In a Bamboo thicket, the jackal is the king", FK should be made to understand that the net savvy denizen of India does NOT live in a bamboo thicket and that the Jackal is NOT the king here. We know exactly what we are paying for. We know exactly what is on offer or what SHOULD BE ON OFFER at WHAT price. You cannot take us for a ride by posting the picture of a Align TRex Sport 450 and then promising an Align TRex 100 and then finally delivering a Brushed motor. We have the power to prosecute and we have portable loyalty!

Somewhere, it looks like I have not been clear. FK has goofed up, and big time, and I have not justified it. I was just trying to get people to understand why it may take some time to resolve. But I am - perhaps misplaced in this - confident it will resolve itself in at worst, a refund, or at best (wishful thinking and unlikey), a real chopper!

And if that does not happen, please rest assured that I would be among the first to support any action to be taken.

+1 VC.... This proves the trend that we blindly worship the unseen 'Virtual' E-Shop and give all benefit of doubts and when things turn evil, hold a friendly LHS by its neck.

If people live in the Fairy Land that the 'Returns' from these Desi e-Shops are as seamless as their Delivery (Like generating RMA# and sending thru courier as in West/US) WAKE UP!!! The process may take month's time and when done, 90% cases you wont get your Card reversal. Instead they would give you a store credit with which you end up buying some shitty thing. It is same like a shop sells Crap item at 3times the price and guarantee 50% money back. He is still making 100% margin.

I am posting just for the benefit of newbies. The Oldtimers should have known similar stories to argue to this length.

But it also brings out a very interesting point are retailers like FK really suited to sell products that need a technological understanding ?
This is not true of On line shops like FK alone , I recently visited Hamley's at Chennai and happened to pass by their science toys section , saw an interesting electronics toy ( HK Origin ) but no where did it say what could be done with it , so did the next best asked the store assistant of how many circuits could be done with it . This guy was totally lost he did not know what it was , don't blame him though , that is when I realized that these shops who sell right from kiddie toys to barbie dolls to rc helis and cars to possibly new born underwears and clothes cannot be expected to know any thing technical about products dealing with science and technology.
For them it is just another box with an MRP which adds to their turn over.

It is we who are in a technical hobby and are supposed to have an understanding of RC Products so the onus is on us to understand this deficiency and take note of it , it is we who ought to know if a price quoted is wrong or right .

But I suppose when a buyer sees a ridiculous price he knows its a gamble so he takes it prepared for it not to work and with cash back he knows he will get a refund so it is a calculated risk on the part of the buyer .

It is for this reason that I fully agree with Ujjwal  that such risks can be taken by informed old timers  but surely not for newbies but unfortunately it is the newbies who will invariably fall into this get disappointed and possibly loose interest in the hobby .

Hence this post to support Ujjwals remarks.

As for the other lot who will get into such buys the only price price price buyers for whom nothing other than price is of consequence they are likely to have gone thru such situations earlier some with refunds some without so they are kind of used to the highs of getting a great deal and the lows of being taken for a ride so nothing to complaint for them
