To all my friends "HAPPY LANDINGS"....

Hi Guys,

I was pleasantly surprised to hear that an INDIAN COMPANY has bought the IRVINE ENGINE rights from Ripmax last month.

Ripmax acquired the same from Mr Irvine senior's son 2 years ago. As some of you might be aware the recent red engines were all made by OS (upto 4 year old red engines; 40, 46 and 52 size) . The older red engines that have "Made in England " stamped on them are the ones made by Irvine in UK.

Mr Irvine a keen modeller himself from Southgate near London, started the company many years ago and ran it very successfully by building a reputation on reliability of Irvine Engines.  Even today all my engines are Irvine some over 30 year old.......... still running strong. He used to provide a free engine check up service whereby you could send your engine and they would test it for you and only charge for the parts replaced and return postage.

I remember sending one of my fairly new red 46 size engines to the company. The engine needed tweeking the bottom needle setting as it kept going dead stick.  It came back with both bearings and the aluminum prop support replaced...... so the theory nothing comes free does hold some weight..Smiley  But then again the same has been running without any problems since....

Reminds me.... Hey Ramesh,

I could have phoned you up and you could have talked me into fixing the same via a phone call maybe....

My congratulations to the entrepreneur....

Which one of you or from the list below has purchased the same and when are you going in production??
