Title: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS
Post by: avinash.tutu on March 05, 2010, 01:36:44 AM
i have a real story to tell, Mr.Eshwar from bangalore have done a day robbery on us
these are the price he charged from us
futaba 4EX-(with 3servo, no battery)- 13000RS
Cobalt motor brushed 4011-                -3500
esky speed controller 40amp               - 3500
Lipo charger(tahzamo)                         -4500
LIpo cell (3 cell 1000mah)                     -4000
for deen connector pin he charged               Rs300
these prices are without any tax.
when we asked bill he told us that, if u want bill 12.5% tax will come and that will be not good for u.
At that time we dont know anything about theese things, he gave a breif class about rc plane and shown his workshop. That was a 'vidyarambam' day, on that good day he cheated us. Later when we went to rc dhamaka we realised that we where cheated

 :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X :-X

Now thats  3 times costlier than the regular LHS's themselves, for few items !!! , may be except the the Radio!!

did you do any bit of research, aka Google before sending him the payment ?

With his shop not online, I wonder if he would care about his 'Reputation', like some other LHS who recalled after uproar in this forum.

That is a steep price for not doing your research first :(

we have done some research on this and we estimated the total price about  17000, and we went there with that much money and talked with him. Then he convinced us that low cost items are of very low quality and they will get damaged within small period. He talked with us so nicely and convinced us that as we are beginners he is helping us without considering his personal matters and he shown his workshop. as we have only very less amount tried our level best to get that much money. During night we stayed in railway station so that we could avoid the hotel bill and save money.

the  brushed motor given by Eswar
was of no use. when our 1st ESC burnt we tried to get new brushed ESC. but many of elders including this forum members advice to go for a brushless setup.
Then we forced to buy new brushless set up.
the cobalt 11 turn motor become useless

Looks like the cat ate the pie and run away.
But seriously guys, didnt u guys search the net for more info on what u want, cost etc.

Post by: vinay on March 07, 2010, 02:11:34 PM
Anjan, thats what he says in the previous post that they did some research and came to some cost estimation. But not everyone in the world can research everything right? ;) They are beginners and for beginners its very easy to convince as their theriotical knowledge would be far less.

Shit happens some times! Even I had been in such problems (not related to RC - a person close to me and whom I met everyday as friend cheated me of 10K and ran away). :P

they described Mr. Eshwar as 'a great man dedicated to aero modeling'... like that.....

hi Dinil,

Even I was very, very cordially invited by Mr Eshwar to his workshop (and to his flying field) way back in Oct.
but that Sunday  morning, I wen to Jakkur field instead and  the wonderful people out there inspired to get into the hobby seriously. I also met my best R/C pal vinay as well, the day unforgetful  for my upcoming R/C days.

I later heard horror stories about Mr Eshwar from a flyer (I would not name the gentleman, as I have esteemed regards for him). Now I think my RC story would have been some thing else if I had ever visited him.

Unfortunately your case in much weakened from any legal action as he, unlike other LHS like RCDhamaka, IndianHobbies, Sai etc, compelled you NOT take proper bill. He must have been aware that once the cat comes out of the box, you won't have any instrument to get justice.

To be frank, there can be no case against him except on moral grounds. Two consenting parties went for a deal, he threw a price, for which you had not done complete research. I guess indicative prices have been discussed on this Indian R/C forum as well as other whose name I cannot take  for quite long time. I believe not many here on forum do business with ENR on regular basis (there may be others once bitten twice shy), so doubt we would ever rise to the occasion for his reputation.

Talk to him again, if not, at least take a lesson from this. R/C is a definitely a costly hobby. If you continue, you would soon forget loss of this amount once you start flying pricey planes and crashing them occasionally.

All the best and please don't loose your heart.  We need more and more flyers/modellers.

Guys,
Anyone who has dealt with RCDhamaka tell me the average response time for fullfilling an order? As per the their website, the shipping policy is as follows ---

"We aim to process the goods (In stock) to you within 2-3 working days. We cannot give an exact delivery time. This is subject to you placing the order before 4:00PM IST from Monday to Friday. We are closed on Indian Holidays. We are not responsible for Shipping delays, other regulatory delays (like customs clearance etc)."

On the 3rd I had ordered 8 pcs of 2.5mm rod from their website. Now, the website does not indicate the stock they hold, so have no idea of the stocks they hold. Have sent them a mail, but no response.

Since its more than 3 days and without communication, I was wanting to know the standard delivery time to expect from them. Further, the last line states that they are not responsible for custom delays.. so are they importing on order or what?

Pankaj

Any thing they have in stock when you place online Order Reaches you in 4 - 6 days Flat on transfer of funds.

They are one of the two best I have dealt with till date in terms of economy, speed, and quality. The other LHS everyone must be surely knowing.

AFAIK their website will show you if the item is back ordered in red! :headscratch:

If they have stocks they ship it very soon. I had been to their shop personally, and they explained me and showed me the shipping process, very fast, not to worry!

Pankaj,

Kindly note that there is a problem with paypal in india and they are taking about 3-4 days before they are confirming the payment as they have got into trouble with RBI. Also would suggest you to  use the NEFT, Chq, DD, Cash deposit next time, as paypal only accepts USD you loose on the exchange rate front.

On the 3rd I had ordered 8 pcs of 2.5mm rod from their website. Now, the website does not indicate the stock they hold, so have no idea of the stocks they hold.
Pankaj

As for stocks all items allowed to be bought are in stock. All items not in stock are shown as sold out with a back in stock notification.

Further, the last line states that they are not responsible for custom delays.. so are they importing on order or what?

Pankaj

We do not import on order. This is basically for our customers from other countries as we are one of the only LHS which also ships international.

Hope to have clarified your doubts.

Thanks
Kartik

+1 Chan,
I have dealt with 4-5 LHs till date (apart from few others in Delhi) and Mr Sanjeev and his RC Dhamaka is simply superb. Keeping a much lower profile than what he has in his stores. I can't much for shipping as i have the privilege of waling down is store and pickup things, but I have seen him sending loads of shipment using TNT courier.

As a person, Mr Sanjeev gives ample amount of time to newbies like me. A balsa fan since childhood, it was please to get tips from him.

Pankaj, the volume is much lower in the country, so a tip-toed service like HC/Towers is too
much of an expectation. Don't worry, you would soon get your stuff. They are one of the biggest and most reputed LHS in the country, supplying to veterans who are not even on this forum.

Good experience for me too. My only nitro powered plane is an RCDhamaka Yak 54 3D.

Couldn't comment on shipping aspects, as I picked it up in person.

Shipping has always been very prompt and charges reasonable as they have a tie up with TNT Express for their "non RC" product lines.

i have sumthing to share to..this happened sumtime back..posting my experience with JACKHOBBIES(india)..maybe it wud help sum of u guys buying from there in the future..here it goes..i ordered a 3D indoor plane from jacks..put the money in their account...even talk to them before putting the money..after the money goes in..they tell me that the model is out of stock...they suggest me to buy another 3d model they have..i fall in the trap and let them send me the other plane..but wait..its costlier..so i need to pay the difference..i do it with a heavy heart..but a heart full of love for airplanes...the airplanes arrives....wing structure damaged..2 servos missing..the battery sent in the kit is not powerful enough for the model to fly..the charger i asked for is not what i get or what i paid for..the shipping is overpriced....my overall experience with them has been BAD..and i wud never shop again from them.AND RECOMMEND the same to EVERY1...maybe i was one of few unlucky guys shopping at jacks...but i wud strongly reccomend all u guys shopping there to confirm each and everything u wud recieve for the money u pay well in adavnce..and only after confirming things shud u put in the money and buy..HOPE THIS HELPS!...FLY HIGH:-)

To me LHS stands for 'Local' to my town/city. Where I can go personally, look at the stuff, interact with the seller and then buy. Any thing in another city is equivalent to out side country, unless I have visited that LHS and built confidence.

Barring the margin money which goes, I would still count on a decently scored E-bay seller than putting my money on completely new fellow Indian seller. Apart from the few (say 5-6) well reviewed LHS like RCD,Sai, IndianHobbies,Rotor,RotorZone, etc, people have had enough from the minnows.

I think the problem is in the attitude and Hypocrisy of 'Customer is God' when many seller eye to short term profit (runaway bitches) rather than building a rapport with the flyer. This is when they know that one getting in hobby would keep coming back. You cheat once, he won't come again. Few LHS are generous enough to give a warm welcome to even erring guys and win their heart. Some proportional discount to newbies with good guidance and he would be loyal to them.

Wish the 'unwise guys in trade' would soon grow up and see the bigger picture. I am still eying at the BobCat from Jackhobbies, but after these reports, I would definitely pick it up personally when I visit Hyderabad sometime.

Thanks for TOFTT flying_g and keeping us updated.

ur right ujjwana..ppl like mr. jagtiani from JACKS probably dont realise that they are loosing customers in the long run...and in this hobby...the word of the mouth counts a lot...he sent me stuff which was not worth my money..just to make a short term profit...but not realising that i wud never shop from him again and wudnt suggest the same to the fellow newbies..we have sum gr8 LHS like rcdhamaka and indianhobbies..who are very decently priced and send u what u pay for unlike JACKS..anyways..this is my downright advice to all newbies in this hoby..dont get fooled..goto a reliable dealer and get what u pay for..dont get cheated..cheers!!!

The problem of scale which hinters choices offered by your beloved LHS sometimes make you betray them. though I have bought my first ARF from RCD, the other plane in my current wish list are from the LHS not getting good review (Extra 300L from Payless... and BobCat from Jack)... that really adds to the problem..

Title: Re: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS

This thread is making me a bit nervous, wondering if we are only highlighting the negatives and completely ignoring the positives (as it often happens).

I request members who have had positive experiences from the said places to voice their opinion here.

Title: Re: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS
Post by: sushil_anand on March 10, 2010, 11:29:54 AM
I have had no problems with Payless.... but for me, being in Mumbai, that is a true LHS.

I think the problems with them have related to online purchases and primarily packing issues

On a personal note. Mr. Nishant Garodia who owns the store is a genuine aeromodeller. The apparent "neglect" is perhaps a result of the operation being more of a hobby than a business venture. Which, ultimately, is no justification though.

I have had no problems with Payless....

I have had great experience with PLFM. Once i had ordered a radial mount set for an axi motor. The package showed that it should have 7 bolts in total but in actual there were only 3 in the package. It was not a big deal...i could have easily got some bolts..but i still reported it to PLFM..and i was amazed  :o  that they insisted on sending the package back..and they replaced the package.

So far so good.

Ankur

Title: Re: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS
Post by: ujjwaana on March 10, 2010, 12:17:52 PM
Thanks Sushil and Ankur for putting one more LHS in my 'Good Book', but again, I would prefer somebody picking up things for me personally.

As I have already said in my other posts, the unprofessionalism of courier guys, non availability of good packing stuff, at some time few LHS's apathy leaves much desired from online outstation purchase of delicate items. Buck shouldn't stop after the payment is received by the LHS, but they should ensure that item reaches flyer in proper shape. The bright side is that few better organised LHS like RCD, Rotor, Indiahobbies, RcForall etc are already doing this.

So for the time being I would insist on personal pickup from non-Bangalore LHS, unless people report improved shipping experience from them.

Well, an update...

I had posted this question on Sunday and was on tour from Monday, so was not able to track the progress. I checked up the RCD website yesterday and noted that the materials had been delivered.
In the evening, I also got a call from RCD enquiring whether or not I had received the stuff. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice to note that there are LHS who care about their reputations and are willing to go that extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Thank you RCD for that.

Well when I reached office today, I did find the goods.

As I was a little busy from 1 pm to 4 pm, I coul not call up Kartik and thank him for the package but to my great surprise and delight i got a call from Kartik just to confirm that I had received the package in good condition or not and that all the things that were ordered by me were in good condition and right number.  {:)} {:)}

I had a question for rcdhamaka..

Sir,

Have you applied or going to apply for a WPC approval for the airtronics RDS8000 radio in the future ?

Title: Re: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS
Post by: rcdhamaka on March 19, 2010, 02:35:31 PM
Dear Atul,

The entire 2.4Ghz range of Sanwa is under process with WPC some are already approved and some are in the process as Sanwa are launching the SD-5G, SD-6G etc etc soon, so shortly once we have the entire range approved we will make an official announcement about it.

The entire range will include the Air/Heli/Sailplane (5ch, 6ch, 8ch & 10ch) & Car/Boat (3ch & 4ch) radios.

All the radios imported by us are imported legally with licence.

We have also proposed to set up a service centre in India for Sanwa.

Hope this answers your question.

Many of the new beginners might be facing the problem which I too faced. :banghead: There are many shops in India for RC hobbies and its very difficult to choose one which is reliable, can deliver quickly and at the same time cheap!!!

I would request mods to add a new category under 'RC Baazar' where the reviews of different shops can be posted.

I buy most of my stuff from them, best thing I like about the shop is that they have wide range of products, owner of the shop is very helpful, he gives free advice unlike other store owners.
Pros:
* Wide range of electric flight stuff.
* Excellent customer service.
* Cheaper than almost all the stores across India.
* Free advisory.
Cons:
* Limited to electric flight.
* ESC, Batteries are Chinese (Though they are working fine so far, but they have all the brands with minimum cost)

I request everyone to share their experiences with other stores!!!

Like Eshwar, even I had an effect from these kind of frauds. Another fellow from Banglore sold me a 2200mah, 2S, 20C battery for  :Rs:3000 :o. That was the time I was rejected by medical board for my NDA - Flying Pilot because of my eyesight. I was so upset and the next day, just the day before the board conference, I went into a shop to loose a lot of money :banghead:. I dont know why people go so cheap >:D and spoil the mood for flying. They think of earning money but they only spoil their own buissness (:|~.

Hi Kiruthi,
I hope  you are comparing apple with apples. If someone is selling cheap/Ebay LiPo at Hyperion/Kokam LiPO prices in India, then it is a ripoff. But premium branded LiPos (which were only option some time back) are still as costly.

The entire 2.4Ghz range of Sanwa is under process with WPC some are already approved and some are in the process as Sanwa are launching the SD-5G, SD-6G etc etc soon, so shortly once we have the entire range approved we will make an official announcement about it.

Sorry for bumping into the thread but what is the update on these RCD? BTW Thank God, I chose to buy RDS8000 as my first radio. Simply awesome, will be the radio for my life.

my first investment in this hobby was on a HKradio, which i buy from praveen (flyrc), iagain brought somany items from him, he is sincere and  too polite in communication, and the next one is RCD , they too are good in communication and have a fair price for most of the items....... VKSingh also seems to be good and will buy from him soon..............
but some main sellers in our forum doesnt seems to be that good (for me , and only in their prices) and the too have some helping mentality.....
i have 9/10 for praveen..................

Dont ever buy from LHS . About 3 months ago i wanted to get into planes, so i badly needed a 6ch radio. Then i walked into this store called India Hobby Center. The store person over there Demanded 11500 for the Fly SKy t6a. Then he told he would sell it to me at a discounted price of 9500. MY GOD! the same one which is HKT6a costs only 1000 and can get it for 2000 incl shipping. so dont ever trust LHS guys. Depending on how rich u r they try to extract as much money as possible from u.
Recently when i asked the same guy how much a Savage X 4.6 RTR costs, he told 35000 INR
and also said that the Jato 3.3 RTR costs 38000 INR WTH!?! .

plus the LHS prices are as follows:
15 amp esc = 3500 rs
2832 1400kv BL outrunner plane motor 200w = 3200 rs

and THIS IS ALSO an LHS.

Hey, don't get angry. Anwar was making things clear. Your generalization was wrong and that is what prompted his reply. By saying " Dont ever buy from LHS", you mean to say that all of them are junk.

And nobody told you not to share your experiences.

Title: Re: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS
Post by: anwar on October 08, 2011, 10:35:03 PM
Dont ever buy from LHS .

You did not say "Dont ever buy from IHC".  It was the generalization of all "LHS" that may mislead others (especially newcomers) who may read your post.  I hope you get the difference :)

Your feedback about the experience at IHC would be very useful to others, no doubt.  And you are not alone... see this :

http://www.rcindia.org/rc-outlets-and-resellers/everything-expensive/
http://www.rcindia.org/beginners-zone/help-in-selecting-radio/msg26108/#msg26108

But putting all LHS in bucket is not fair to many other LHSes who try to make this hobby affordable/accessible in our country.

I had gone to Model Art( BLR) today. It wasn't a positive experience. I got my stuff but the support was not great. So, this is going to get rambly...

I called the shop and asked if they would be " Open for business" and I was told that they would be open for business. I asked this because I had a feeling that the shop might be closed or not selling stuff today due to the pooja... So, I walked over to the door and was about to open the door but I was stopped. The guy who stopped me said that the pooja was going on. I roamed around Forum mall for 10 minutes and went back. The guy said the same thing. Spent another 10 minutes and came back to get the same reply. I went back after 10 minutes to get the same reply. Finally, I gave him 'the look' and said that I needed 2 bottles of oil. But the guy wasn't ready to let me in. 'The face' finally worked and I got my stuff. At the end of this, I thought.... Had I gone in there as a guy who was sure he would buy a car, I'd have left without one. It seemed like they didn't want to sell their stuff :headscratch:. I can't attribute it to the festival because I had particularly asked if they would be "Open for business". When I did go in, there were no signs of a pooja. I'm not sure whether I'll go back there  :-\....

I noticed another thing. If I entered the shop as a guy with no idea of hobby grade RC, I wouldn't have noticed the RC stuff. It wasn't showcased very well.

For the TLDR people, I didn't enjoy shopping there and I'm not sure if I'll go there again. I have no problem with the oils I got. I do have a problem with the way I was treated as a potential customer. I had called and asked them if they were open and I had told them that I'd be going there. I wasn't expecting a king's welcome or anything but I didn't feel like they wanted to sell anything. I hope others who go there have a better experience. I am going to stick to Throttle RC ;D( Jayanth)....

I bought a CRIUS multiwii quadcopter contoller from ebay UK. I wanted a 5V basic FTDI breakout programmer for the controller. And I found it on www.rhydolabz.com.
I know it's not a purely RC store, (and I guess this reply is not relevant here) but their simply-superb service compels me to write this. The price was Rs. 899. Rhydolabs offers two shipment carriers (IndiaPost and DTDC). It offers incredibly 6 payment options. (credit card gateway, debit crads, ICICI net-banking, SBI net-banking, DD and cash-deposits.). My virtual credit didn't work that day so I chose the ICICI net banking, and obviously it takes a day or two to process the payment, ship them, blah, blah....
But to my surprise, they processed it within hours and shipped the same day. The programmer reached me the very next day!
 :hatsoff:  :hatsoff:  :hatsoff:  :hatsoff:
They've got almost ALL electronic stuff. Would recommend to all of you.
PS: did anyone here already have an experience with it?

Some of you may know I got a Tiger Moth and Pilatus B4 as retirement gifts from my office.
Got them from RCBazaar, along with one Wolfpack 4s 2200 25c lipo.
Battery showed only 2 cells.
Called RC Bazaar. Guy called Suresh picked up and asked can I send a video?
Sent video with stills showing lipo seems to have only two cells.
15 minutes later he said he is sending a replacement. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
Arrived 4 days later in time for this Sunday test flight of Tiger Moth.
Mr Suresh & RC Bazaar,
A BIG THANK YOU.
IF EVERYONE GIVES SERVICE LIKE THIS, THERE IS HOPE FOR OUR BELOVED COUNTRY!

Recently bought an electric monster truck for my son from Rcbazaar,Bangalore. There was some problem during its first run. When contacted store i was asked to send it back for check up. Since they maintain spares stock for the same, thought required part would be replaced.

I was asked to wait for a while. To my surprise they asked me to pick up new truck from recent consignment. And no charges... though the new arrival costing more than what i paid when bought.

Thanks Rcbazaar and team

Being a noob in this hobby my first purchase was from RcBharat. I ordered a Sky Surfer ARF, made the payment with a Rs 1170/- shipping charge.
I lost contact with RcBharat after payment, but after 5 days finally received Tracking number and all was well. I received my Sky Surfer a couple of days later via DTDC and to my horror The package looked like someone had stepped on it. I opened the package and found that one of the wings was bent out of shape and the Fuse was bent near the nose and tail. I also did not receive the wing spar or any control arms. The package was also sent via surface transport.
I did do my home work before choosing a seller, and Rcbharat seemed like a good bet. I suppose its just my luck.

Hey if you have any problem with the parcel you should contact us first, before posting it out in public, they are many cases in which customers receive damaged parcels,  lost items and all those were sorted out by contacting us.

I still believe you should had given us a call, we never ever received any call or mail from you regarding the damaged parcel.

Anyway write to us, your problem will be solved.

I tried to contact you regarding my tracking number with no result. It was only after I posted on the forum regarding the same, that you finally responded. Regarding the parcel you sent, the damage to the model is repairable. The missing wing spar will not be missed because I planed to change it out for a solid one. As for the control rods, I can fabricate those easily. The thing that bothers me is the shipping charge. 1170/- bucks for surface transport and a little bubble wrap?

Hey if you have any problem with the parcel you should contact us first...
I still believe you should had given us a call, we never ever received any call or mail from you regarding the damaged parcel.

I tried to contact you regarding my tracking number with no result.

Two stories.  How exactly did the buyer attempt to contact the store ?

Hi folks,

How has your experience been when ordering from sharma model aero's online store.
I have placed an order there for an engine.

I had called them up for the status check n this is what the guy on the other end said.

Me: hello, order no ### kab ship hoga?

PhoneGuy: kab kiya order?

Me: Sunday ko kiya tha or paise credit ho chuke hai aapke account me.

PhoneGuy: Arey Sunday hi kiya na,itna jaldi kya hai?

Me: Stunned!! :headscratch: :-\

I din know what to say!!!  :o

Sanket

Sharma models have been making engines even before you were born, they are the pioneers in models and engines in india, most probably some worker must have picked up the phone, Vivek or Sharma uncle for that matter are good folks to deal with.

Have patience your engine will reach you, aeromodelling is all about patience , perseverance and indefatigability.

@rockmania.89
Like rcpilotacro says...
Sharma Aero is the second oldest manufacturer in India.
Their engines go to UK, Australia etc.
They have been suppliers to NCC for decades, and are doing interesting work with the Air Force.
On top of that they are really nice people.
Don't worry, you won't get cheated!

@rcpilotacro. I am sure that they are making engines for a really long time but that doesnt mean or imply that they get a right to talk to a customer like that.
I believe over these years a businessman will understand that talking to a customer like this is not the best way of conducting business. Although born later i will neva talk like this to a customer.
Also i really dont know any of the owners personally and i believe there is no need for that. Please understand that i havent asked for a favour, we r just doing business and i would reiterate that this is not the best way.
For me it was sharma model aero that i dealt with, i really dont have to knw who was on the line. Customer is the last person u wanna take for granted. And for the patience, i am not a newbie, although my profile states that, i do know how much i will have to wait before receiving a shipment. The issue is all about the treatment given to me as a customer.

@kkiyer: i have no doubt that they will ship it. :) I m not worried about that. All that pinched me is the way i was treated.

@sharmamodelaero owners: all due respect to ur experience. But i firmly believe that this is not the best way. Just for humble feedback and in full support of LHS , please check for such instances. :)

Surprisingly, Sharma Aero manufacturing unit was in Howrah before a few decade, but instead of getting flourished in Kolkata, Kolkata lagged far far behind. Once upon a time India hobby shop was proud to the poeople of Kolkata, but now, we don't go there for their process of treatment. Not only NCC but  other aeromodeller's organization was in Kolkata once upon a time, but just vanishes.

While in other city, or even country, aeromodelling is going generation by generation, and is more flourished, even the spair cost is reducing day by day (when inflation is considered) why annual aeromodellers meet stopped at Behala flying club ?

Truly speaking, I have doubt on the present generation hobby personnels' helping attitude rather than business. While, kolkata would be the macca  of aeromodelling in India, I have to purchase spares from Bangalore or delhi or sai. Who can be blamed for these... ? For existence profit is required, but high sales figure due to higher sales quantity is better than high profit margin.

Even this forum have born to flourish the open minded modellers, who are really ready for help, I can say... but compared to whom ?

Also the invoice which RC Bharat is providing is not legal.

The invoice shows the tax has been collected, but its missing TIN/TAN etc. numbers and % charged. You can also complain to sales tax/service tax office for the same.

Seems like multiple stores are doing this.  This is something to be taken seriously. I would suggest that unless the TIN number etc are printed in the invoice (and provided on the website), there is no reason for anyone to pay the tax.

Another interesting thing is that the logo on the PDF invoice does not seem to be related to the store either.

There is another store operating here which has money being sent to someone's personal bank account.  Not sure if they are collecting tax too. If they are, there is no need to pay it.

Jubilee Hobbies guy is a real cheater. My producer placed an order for Phantom DJI Vision 2 as my team needed it for a project. The same routine followed, he asked to deposit the money in his ICICI account and said yeah he has seven pieces in stock and would send immediately. Been over 15 days and this guy is not returning any of the calls and if you call him up from unknown number he would pick it up and then immediately disconnect and would never pick up again. My producer is now furious at my for referring it to him.

Just wondering, did anyone had some luck trying to buy anything from him?

As it is, the producer is lodging an FIR so I could use all the info on him that I can get.

hi,

Just for information, wanted all to know that mu freind too placed order for 10 lipos for the dji phantom with jubilee hobbies  and deposited cash to his ac. its been more than a month and there is no response from the seller.

last few weeks back i asked for a quote for the dji s800 and was asked to deposit rs.165000/- to his ac. i checked his credentials with sujith and was warned not to deal with this person as he is not operating from hyderabad.

Same case with djiphantom.in. he called me and quoted Rs.4 lacs and told me to deposit to some personal ac.
the guy claims to be dji manufacturer in thailand. i sent the contact details to a freind in thailand and he reported back that the no is not responding.

Nilesh from sphere hobbies too claims to be a dji dealer but he does not respond to general calls and seldoms cuts off the phone when u ring up. have been trying to call him but there is no response.

The LHS should be certified before they start selling here.

And the worst part is that all of these people claim to 'support the hobby'. There is no end to the list of people who are put off by all these things happening and never turn back. However, I have mailed the SP Hyderabad (Jubilee's bank account is based in Hyderabad) with relevant proofs, screenshots, payment slips etc. He has assured me of an action at the earliest.

Was wondering if more of us victims can come together and send more mails, with the number of cases building up, I am sure they will expedite the course of action.

Dhaya,

There may be lots of reason when a order is cancelled.
But its too bad to call a LHS as cheat just because they cancelled your order.
You can call them and ask for a refund or a reason why the order is cancelled. you have the right, but just don't use it wrong.
you can dispute the transaction with the bank and also with the EBS payment gateway.
Best wishes,

The problem is these LHS never call back we have to run behind them. After payment will wait for shipping details but after two days when we contact they just reply the order is cancelled.

but the stock of particular item will be available.

but below LHS

rc dhamaka
Rc electro
edallhobby shop
indian hobby shop

so far best experience with them as soon as we order immediate mailing invoice, shipping through reputed courier, smooth transaction and exact product.

bought emax ec-0857 charger from them.
tried to charge lipo(2200mah, 3s) but the difficulty i faced was after every 3-4min charger  automatically switches off.

took it to the electronics repairing shop and they said the problem is with the charger.

when i called rcdhamaka ppl, he said they can't do anything and i have to contact emax and send charger to china for replacement.

how can they send a faulty piece, atleast they should test it before shipping.

If you buy a TV fridge etc. If it s faulty do you open it and try repairing it..?  And still expect replacement? AFAIK they check before sending it. Now it is your word against theirs. Looking at the reputation of yours and theirs, it s for the RCI members to decide what meets the eye.

Krunal, see people prefer sealed box items. Atleast I do. And since Rc Dhamaka is a reseller, how can they test it. So they would off course direct you to the manufacturer same as shops do in case of mobiles in India. Unfortunately in your case the manufacturer is in China. Not sure if repair is possible.

Rc Dhamaka on the other hand can also as a goodwill gesture provide you a replacement and they can sort the issue with there suppliers/manufacturers later on.

Just my 2 cents.

I too had bad experience with RCBharat aka Sai Krishna. I ordered items worth about 7k INR a few months ago.

Before the order (my first RC order)he was all nice and never forgot his Yes Sir, Please and Thankyou
After order & payment all of a sudden he got extremely busy, stopped picking his phone, didn't reply to e-mails. After 10 days told me his father was sick, next 5 days he was out of station. When I told him I am going to write in this forum he dispatched the order, no tracking id or anything. All items including The Transmitter were jammed in a broken box somehow. Same story with Invoice as mentioned above.

When I called again he told me he was busy and disconnected the phone. On top, the Transmitter had issue so when I called, he tried  multiple times to shake me off, finally he agreed to look but specifically told me not to bring the Transmitter packing box ???. He was not at home when I reached there on a pre-agreed time so  I had to talk to his father who said he knows nothing of the deal nor what he had promised me to look into neither anything about RC. Apparently Sai Krishna had no intention of keeping his promise.

This guy is here ONLY for money and is extremely RUDE and intents to CHEAT. He however wears a MASK infront of senior members here to keep his reputation intact. BEWARE newbies.

I see 5 positive feedback.  Why are people not using the trader feedback system here to warn others, despite multiple reminders ? This is the most obvious way others will notice negative feedback about anyone !

good step @FlyingBrick  {:)}  this will help people be aware and seller too aware to give proper service to retain the rating.

although RCBharat has the most excuses all the times (issues more than any government and busy more than Ambani's). His excuses might be legitimate some times, but now the condition is that if he speaking truth or lie, only he and god knows.

@anandp,
as many of us know it is far too difficult to give a -ve rating than a +ve one but after dealing with him for about 3 weeks & listening to all the @#$% ...this one had to go, though a bit delayed.

I would still look at it on a case by case basis only, may be he was having a bad spell etc. more importantly for me, I have a firm belief of inherrant goodness amongst all & I want to keep it like that.

supply is a.c.

You need a DC supply of between 12 and 15V and a rated current of - at least - 2 amps.

What does this supposed to mean krunal ? got it back ? got a new one back ? or the same one which you tried to tinker with and burnt the PCB then blamed it on the most trusted LHS back ? what is it. ?

When you were so quick to draw the gun and shoot down the LHS, how come suddenly exams came in your way from posting that you got it back, i am sure when you went for your regular chores and sitting there you could have posted that you got it back, no?

Once again laddie, please be patient before you tick off somebody, people who are quick to draw IMHO are short tempered in life (you may not be one, be that as it may). they suffer from home and work front. Mark my words and the day that i said this.

PS

Why am i getting a feeling with this kind of attention to detail. the packing in which you have sent it back to LHS would be sub standard one. correct me if i am wrong.

3)i called them on 8th march, he said he will upload the video. so was waiting for the video.
4)the charger is still with them.
5) i don't think the packing was substandard.

Hi Krunal

Yes we did ship out the Charger to Krunal on the 20.01.2014 which he had recd on 21.01.2014, he called around the 1st week of Feb 2014 that the charger does not ON. When we said that try checking it again and has he also attached the battery he said he will try and get back. He then called again on the 8th stating that the charger is faulty and it does ON now but switches off after sometime. He then states that it is defective and we should replace it, to which we said that we need to have it sent to manufacturer for the warranty claim if any and he needs to send it to us. To which he said he is not willing to wait and needs a replacement immediately, therefore we told him to send it to the manufacturer directly if it is so urgent.

Then he puts this up on the forum.

bought emax ec-0857 charger from them.
tried to charge lipo(2200mah, 3s) but the difficulty i faced was after every 3-4min charger  automatically switches off.

took it to the electronics repairing shop and they said the problem is with the charger.

how can they send a faulty piece, atleast they should test it before shipping.

We do not open packages or use them before shipping.

i hv not done anything to the charger prior to using it for the 1st time.

Can you elaborate

anwar sir, when i took the charger to the shop owner and showed him a demo of charger getting switched of 5-10min of charging, he simply opened the box and said that the transformer gets hot and hence charger switches off. he said he can't do anything. he opened charger in front of me and after denial closed it and gave it back.

Kindly make up your mind as to when it switches off as earlier you mentioned 3-4min and now you say 5-10min its nearly 100% more in time difference.

Kindly note that once you open up any product by yourself or any unauthorised person the product will automatically lose warranty.

1) rcd got the charger on 22nd of feb
2)the charger was jst opened, no part was even touched then how can one tinker with it and burn the pcb?
3)i called them on 8th march, he said he will upload the video. so was waiting for the video.
4)the charger is still with them.
5) i don't think the packing was substandard.

1) yes we did receive it on the 22nd of Feb. called you but you did not answer our call.
2) Please see the attached pics, hope people can then decide.
3) The video is about 1GB so will surely upload it if required.
4) Yes it is with us and if you require us to send back to you kindly pay for the return shipping.
5) Picture is attached.

You can also see that the stays are broken and there is a burnt mark on the PCB which is very clear and it is tinkered with, hope the same did not happen when you sent it back in courier on its way to us.

Also we have tried charging 3 Cell Lipo and it is charging pic attached.

Thanks & Regards
Team RCDhamaka

HAHAHAHAHA! I love the sarcasm!!  :giggle: I also respect the fact that you have responded with so much clarity and detail.

Just thought I'd share my experience with a similar issue.

I bought an emax unit in the states few months ago to make a briefcase charger, its small and compact and didnt have a high output rating but suited me fine, t'was just for emergency charging, the portable kind you can carry around, wanted to work it with a 12v battery directly connected to it. It worked fine when on battery, but when I would power it up via a 12v adapter connected to a wall socket, it would come on and work fine, but once the charging began a few seconds later it would go off, and reboot. I soon found the issue was with the adapter, that it wasnt supplying the needed current.

Point is, if your charger isnt working when powering it via a 12v adapter, chances are your adapter might not have enough juice to power the charger.

Hope this helps and I hope im not repeating something someone has already said :)

Cheers

Krunal there you are

(a) You warranty lapses the day open the board. I refuse to believe your theory of the electronic shop did some check and told you that it is faulty. The fact of the matter is, it isn't completely faulty. it is charging and it is switching off in 10 mins. unless the shop fella opens it he wouldn't know that the board is burnt.

(b) it is very very apparent from the pic (see image) that your electronic shop (While you were not looking may be :giggle: ) tried to solder / desolder the board. This is where you further lost your chance of a replacement. Even if RCD sends it to the OEM with this kind of board will they get a replacement for you? Answer this question honestly buddy !!

(c) The main question is why did the charger behave in this manner (Switching off after 5-10 mins) ? it did because you left the charger 'on' with the batt at night and went off to sleep. that IMHO is suicidal. Lipo batt can explode and depending on you apartment type and where you kept it, could even kill you and the occupants of the dwelling

In the end it is very very apparent to me and i dare say, to many members here, that you are indulging in (a) Unfair means of posting here on the forum trying to bring bad name to a very highly reputed LHS (b) Thereby indulging in arm twisting tactics

PS
Your story very sadly reminds me of a some reflection of our country (The one which i love the most) where we lie about the age of a child to get a half ticket and consider it to be a big achievement.

PPS
Once again i am no fanboy of any LHS, i most of the time stand first if the case merits standing against an LHS (See my earlier posts you will know) and i don't stand to gain anything from RCD. LET me make that point loud and clear

Point is, if your charger isnt working when powering it via a 12v adapter,

Archie

features of this charger are:-

· For 2-cell (7.4V) and 3-cell (11.1V) Li-Poly Packs
· Fixed charge rate of 1.2A
· 100V - 240V AC input
· Automatic balancing of multi-cell packs while charging

it is plain and simple plug it into the wall socket kind, no adapter required

1) when i called you for replacement, you said that for warranty purposes i need to send the charger back to its manufacturer(i.e. to china). He further added that if the charger was of 2-3k then i can send the charger to rcd and he would have shipped it back to china but my charger's cost was less (550/-) so he cannot send it back.

2)the time of getting switched off was less than 10min.

3) when i first told you about the problem, you said that it cannot charge a battery of capacity >1000mAh whereas now i am using another charger(Output Current: 3 * 800mA ) and i don't have any issues charging a 2200mAh battery.

4)

You can also see that the stays are broken and there is a burnt mark on the PCB which is very clear and it is tinkered with, hope the same did not happen when you sent it back in courier on its way to us.

no again i am saying it's not tinkered here. the same might have happened on its way to you from its manufacturer.

5)

1) yes we did receive it on the 22nd of Feb. called you but you did not answer our call.

i may not be available when u called(i.e. i might have missed your call)  but you should have called back again.

6) again i am saying that the shop owner did not touch any part.  he simply opened the box and said that the transformer gets hot and hence charger switches off. he said he can't do anything. he opened charger in front of me and after denial closed it and gave it back.

7)it was not staying 'on' for more than 10mins, then how can i leave it 'on' for the entire night?

RCD is one of the best hobby shops in india i always receive my parcel before time and that too every item is packed in individual plastic bags that no other seller does in india p.s i have only dealt with rcforall and rcb :P......
So it's very hard to believe about getting a faulty charger maybe you are new to these things and could have used it in a wrong way but you should first sort out this thing privately rather going publicaly :)

Sad to see that a reputed seller and a backbone of our hobby, like RCD has been forced to justify themselves on an open forum. Shame.

VC, I know ive already been accused of taking a shot at you... but really... I just couldnt sit quiet about such unjustified comments, especially when its accusing a company that has a reputation of over delivering.

I think your comment is unfair and unwarranted, and before you or anyone replies with a "thats not what I meant", let me please say, say what you mean then!!

They have not been forced to reply, infact to the contrary, the case he presented shows that he didnt actually need to do anything in response to a cheat! Hes actually taken time out to respond kindly to a kid who is very obviously trying to lie! Thats alot more than most other companies on this forum do. Infact speaking of big companies; the other two that we were discussing in the last two days still havent bothered responding to my accusations towards them. But RCD did!! I CANNOT FATHOM HOW YOU WOULD THINK THIS IS A SHAME?!?!?! Shame on the others for not giving a damn (or hiding in silence with their tails tucked in, waiting for everyone to forget the issue).

Im proud to know there are LHS' that will stand up to accusations, even tho they know very well that in this case they didnt need to bother.

Im sad to see non of the other older members here didnt say what I am saying to you. Perhaps they thought it wiser not to say anything to you? Well let me state clearly, I dont want to get into any verbal spar with you, I just refuse to accept injustice.

Good job RCD, please continue being responsible. And if and when the fault is ever yours, which im sure a case or two may arrive, I wish you have the courage to apologies and restore too (and from what we all know, you already do, but im just saying!).  :hatsoff:

Im curious to know if other people also think that its a shame to explain ones self when you are in the right?!

I remember only a little french from the time I lived in Paris, but if im not mistaken L'enfant Terrible du RCIndia translates to "the terrible child of RCIndia". I pray this isnt meant literally!
Cheers mate.

PS:  ;D seemingly standard disclaimers ;D ; im no ones and no company's frikking fan boy, im just here to fly!

If you say you know a little French, perhaps your grasp of the English language is even more infinitesimal. Thus you did not understand the meaning of my post. Since you seem uninitiated to the nuances of the language, allow me to be lucid. Anyone with an iota of brains would have known that the statement "Sad to see that a reputed seller and a backbone of our hobby, like RCD has been forced to justify themselves on an open forum. Shame" implies an implicit support for the organisation RCDhamaka and the team behind it. Only you seem obtuse enough to miss the point entirely. For your information, I am a delighted RCDhamaka customer and have just spoken with the owner of the store who completely comprehended and was appreciative of my post.

You are like a babbling brook but lack the clarity associated with it.

This is a free forum, you may keep ranting, taking pot shots, et al.

I am sending you two items for your personal use on a public forum. Beat and blow them as you please.

Your repartee will undoubtedly be an esprit de l'escalier, and I promise not to waste any more time parrying your meaningless prattle.

With every good wish and wishing you a speedy recovery from whatever it is that you are suffering from.

Post by: yashodhanp on March 13, 2014, 07:37:06 PM
I agree with Sanjay ji, since the day you (Capt G) have come on the forum all you have been doing is complaining about everything and anything. Let's get this straight, stores like RCDhamaka were formed out of a passion for Radio Control, not because they wanted to make a business out of it. That very commitment shows on their pricing and level of customer service. Last year I placed an order for a CAP 23 .40 from them, that aircraft was delivered to me the very next day in IMMACULATE condition, and Kartik Shah(co-owner of RCDhamaka) kept following up on it personally till I received it, other than that I have placed quite a lot of orders with them for a lot of stuff(small and big). Kartik was always helpful. He even helped me for over 3 hours on BBM, to help me assemble the CAP 232, since the actual ARF design was updated, while the manual remained the same.

Other than that, I have purchased a YAK 54 profile with a complete set of electronics, a v622a charger, a couple or batteries, some standard servos, LOTS of spare parts, couple of  motors, ESC's etc from him, They were always helpful about product selection and after sales help even for a product worth Rs. 5.

Here even a single negative comment can ruin a very reputed seller's reputation, and with the way things were going with that charger and innumerable posts about it, the reply was definitely needed, otherwise that person would continue with his argument that was definitely very shaky. RCD did the right thing by putting that post up.

You might be fairly supportive of RCD, but the general attitude that I can see is definitely negative.

From your previous posts it's clearly evident you do not like ANY LHS, you are only used to buying stuff from abroad, and are fairly used to dealing with customs. We as a community always try and support all our LHS, since it's because of them only has aeromodelling come to this level in India. RCDhamaka is getting us the Top International Brands, at true international prices, I don't think anyone can price there stuff any lower than they are.

Your daily ridiculing of Forum Members and LHS is definitely wrong.

Now maybe you have the capability to deal with customs and import stuff from abroad, people like me don't have such capability to deal with them regularly.
I don't mean to say you shouldn't import from abroad, but instead of boasting about you importing stuff every second day and pulling down the morale of the LHS why don't you post something constructive to help the community here.
There are a huge number of people on this forum very much capable of importing just as much as you are, however even they support the LHS simply to ensure this hobby remains viable here in the Country.

I may NOT be so well known on this forum, nor be that experienced in the field, however as a fellow Aeromodeller and forum member I request you to not comment unnecessarily post comments that are not only bad for the morale of the LHS but also for the Community as a whole.

I personally am one of the smiling people for the support and service LHS like RCDhamaka are providing.

In the spirit of openness, I am disclosing that I have removed 2 negative trader feedbacks left by Krunal against RCDhamaka.  This is not us siding with a reputed seller, or me playing fanboy of any type. But in this case, there is clear indication that due process was not followed by the buyer, and it is very difficult to determine on which side the problem happened.

I request both parties not to leave negative feedback against each other.

Title: Re: Feedback on local hobby stores / LHS - RCBHARAT - CHEATS!!
Post by: ethan79 on May 14, 2014, 12:40:18 PM
I bought a f4u Corsair from RC Bharat. He gave me a 20 A esc along with the kit and I had asked him to give him a 850mAh, 20 C Lipo battery as mentioned in the specifications of the Kit. Instead he gave me a 1300mAh, 20C lipo battery and said that this would be compatible with the 20A esc.

But, when I connected the battery to the esc. The esc just went into flames and burnt out. The battery current rating (26A ) was too high for the esc.

Now, when I called Sai Krishna mentioning the problem. He says that the 20 A esc can take any amount of current, irrespective of the rating.

He is not ready to replace the esc for me which got burnt just because of the higher rating battery he sold to me just to earn a little extra cash.

A 20 amp esc can be connected to a higher discharge rated battery. You only need to make sure that you use it within correct voltage as specified for that esc (2s/3s).

When you connect esc to a battery, it would only draw enough current as required to run the motor, so if your motor was drawing more than 20 amps then it may lead to a burned esc. FYI I use 20amp esc with 2200mah,25C,3s Lipo.

But since you mention the esc burned as soon as you connected it, this can usually happen under two scenarios AFAIK, either polarity was reversed or there was a short circuit. Now both these can be user fault or manufacturing defect. By the way you didnt mention whether the esc was connected to the motor. And adding a pic may help your case.

Another clueless newbie, sorry to say, blaming sellers for what seems like his own mistake. You can "connect" (may not "fly"!) a 5000mAH lipo to your 20A ESC for all it matters, as long the cell count (voltage) is compatible.

Please do yourself a favor... spend some time here, and figure out how lipos, ESCs, motors and props work together.  What is compatible with what, what can cause problems etc.

Please be careful to get your facts right.
Be aware of the consequences before calling anyone a cheat on a public forum.

Dear Ethan79,

Did you solder the Esc wire to the connector. Most of all burning of esc happens with wrong polarity when connected to the battery and wrong soldering.

There is no relevance of the current ratings of battery with wrong polarity. 1300 mah battery is better as you can fly longer.

As suggested you need to be patient and learn and maybe take help if needed.

Cheers

I have recently had a very bad experience with thehobbyshop.in
Their website went down (domain is now not valid) a week after I placed my order and the contact number is switched off.
Apart from that, I am now down Rs. 1400.

Update: Their website has been started again. However all old user accounts have been lost. There still has been no communication from their side regarding my order.

Title: Damaged and missing part on Hausler 450 V2 RTF
Post by: vezoto on September 27, 2014, 05:27:46 PM
I recieved a Hausler 450 V2 RTF  from RC Bazaar Pune branch yesterday (26th sept 2014). Since it was an rtf, i expected everything to be in order but to my utter dismay, the battery was missing, no manual for the heli, t6 configuration file for tx  missing, the tail boom bend on the right side, cracked canopy and a damaged servo. It was not a case of courier mishandling as the heli package was well wrapped in bubble wrapping with no damage on the packing. I assumed i was send one with defects. Mr Suresh picked my call and told me to send the pictures of the heli as recieved to his e mail. After my email he told me not to worry as the tail boom , battery, servo and manual will be send today but i have not recieved any tracking number till now. Now this topic is not to defame the seller but posted as a reminder for the seller that everything which a customer orders, it has to be crossed checked and despatch to avoid complaints. By the way my Hiller Hover from RC Bazaar is on the way.

With too much deliberation at last i had place order to THS but feeling sorry and getting fractured due to my decision to purchase indian website to support rather than ordering from amain.com  or hobby king.com/

i never come across such website who do not bother to revert for the order status after making payment and i had confirmed the availability of the stock before ordering.

Now, that so many have mentioned this , I think I was lucky that I ordered through there ebay store , that's why they shipped it so fast ( although they could have just personally delivered it to my house in Lucknow) . When I purchase a product through ebay , the money goes to paisa pay and once I confirm that i have received the item , then it gives them the money .

The Hobby Shop.....again a complaint of non delivery of order.
I had ordered two connectors on the 8th Jan 2015. It was mentioned on the site that the order would be delivered in 3-5 days. Till today I have not received it. I have sent them mail and also sms as they are not available on phone. But no response. Fortunately my order does not amount to a large value and hence I can bear it but its for the future buyers that pl be aware that this LHS is not trustworthy...

My top picks are -
1 - RCD , well they are the best . Karthik and sanjeev are true gentlemen , i have bought 3 planes from them (not single cratch on them , all were delivered withen a week) . The prices are the best (comparable to towerhobbies) i wish you guys all the luck in the world .
Ps- please get us greatplanes (pretty please)
2 - indian hobby shop , what a great ebay store , have bought a good amount of spares from him , all were shipped the very next day , they were packed to survive a nuclear war . I have never had a single complaint for him . Keep up the good work mate .
3 - RCB , another good site , i got my avionic motor and esc (for my nexstar) from them , they were very helpful in letting me chose the right motor . Once one of my parcel got delayed , but i raised the issue and it was solved .
4 - Rcskyhobby, Have bought some stuff from them , but what ever little i bought from them was delivered in great condition . Tornedo fuel is a blessing (i hate mixing my own) and tornedo after run oil is a good option to keep the gum away .
5 - kinetihobbies, vishal (owner) is a very genuine guy . I have only bought batteries from him until now and btw 'haiyin' batteries are bloody good , and the prices are awesome (he has a ebay store as well) .

On Jan 28th 2015, I purchased a 40A flightline ESC from rcdhamaka. The transaction failed to complete on their website even though it was successful on payu.in payment gateway. I immediately send an email through their website regarding the failed transaction. I also made a complaint to payu.in regarding the matter after which payu.in showed a successful transaction screenshot to RCDhamaka and requested them to immediately solve my problem(twice). RCDhamaka then requested me to send a screenshot of my shopping cart step 3 of 3 so as to enable them to process my order and also requested me to please mention to the guys at payu.in that I am not claiming any reversal payment. On 29th Jan, my shopping cart screenshot was send to rcdhamaka and they replied that they have received the attachment/screenshot. On 30th Jan, I was told that the item was shipped but when I asked them for a tracking number, they started ignoring my emails and phone calls. It’s been 8 days since the item was claimed to have been shipped. I still have not received the tracking number or the item. screenshots are attached as proof.

It's not a matter of regular transaction but a failed transaction. Usually the amount is reversed to the bankers. Even if not most traders don't claim it and cancel the transaction and urge to make fresh transaction for accuracy of accounting. Give RCD sometime surely you will have positive resolution. It's not their fault that you had a failed transaction. It take 8-15 days for to set right this failed transaction. As a trader it's in his best interest to go ahead with the order when the amount is positively in his account. Wait for it.

LHHS - Local Hobby Home Stores Dime a dozen open each day! They have a warehouse, staff, technical team & marketing team et all! ALL run by one and only "the hobbyist" in him. Not to forget its the LHHS duty to safely pack a product and ship it out at the earliest with tracking details. Is all this possible by one person? It is maybe to cater to 'one person'
With the multi-tasking time becomes an issue and quality of the service and customer care goes out of the window. I have witnessed this first hand with two out of three LHHS recently.

The number of un professional, poor attitude LHS owners are growing by the day.
They place a bulk order of the most wanted items on the forum, hustle with the supplier for an under invoiced bill, haggle with customs (by now they know them) and 45-50 days later an e commerce business is glowing! WRONG!

www.weloveRC.com (http://) (http://)  yes we all love RC :giggle: the million dollar question is do you know how much we love RC too? the challenge you will face dealing with the thousands who love RC like 'you' do can you cope with it?

I would never bash "LHS"  here but would rather keep people warned even though the owner may be great he cannot cope up with the demand once he goes public (out of forum and the real world) dynamics of the business work on trial error basis.

Recently ordered and witnessed the chalta hai attitude from a large hobby store for a small part. They claim they lost the receipt and hence no idea when I will receive the product.
THIS ATTITUDE! better pick your words wisely. Its been six days now for something that weighs forty 40 grams and is located a mere thousand six hundred kilometres away in our own country!I am still waiting and hope the concerned person reads this and learns.

Also like to add that one individual may have a great shopping experience with a LHHS OR LHS OR brick and mortar store but another can have a nightmare. Please let an "individual" sort their issue out and not support the store blindly because 'you' got a good relationship going with them. The herd mentality got to go!

*Disclaimer* - this has nothing to do with Rcdhamaka and/or Sanjeev and Karthik the great people behind the store who I know personally. :hatsoff:
They still are the only real Hobby Store in the country be it online or physically. Rcbazar is  second place in my opinion.

we need to be able to share our experiences about the stores so that others do not get into similar situations .I need to caution you about my experiences about 2 stores .Firstly Funnhobby / Lotus corporation Ahmedabad .This store has not been able to send me 6 tubes of Balsa cement for which I paid an year back !When I odered by email it was confirmed to be sent later but still waiting after an year , this is totally against any business ethics.I even sent him 2 mails but nothing . 8-)
Secondly  3 weeks back I ordered some stuff from a New store  : RC MUMBAI . This store shows stuff as available on the site , and after payment they show some stuff as BACKORDER ! ???No other hobby shop allows you to shop and pay and then showitem as BACKORDER >:( .This store does not attend Telephone calls and does not believe in any emails for ORDERS RECIEVED , PAYMENTS RECIEVED ,SHIPPING details etc . After I placed an order and paid on the site ,  they cooly show some stuff as BACKORDER , when I rang up , I could contact, after many attempts when I could get through they cooly tell me some stuff is backorder and they will ship it seperately later when it is recieved . I paid for a 5 Amp Esc Rs fifteen hundred and till date after 3 weeks no action , they dont attend the phone also .This store is living STONE AGE :headscratch: where firstly they dont have a Payment gatewat , so we have to do a bank deposit , secondly they dont believe in EMAILS ? 8-) attending customer calls , thirdly they allow a customer to pay for stuff they dont have in stock :help: and fourthly their overall response is irritating ! SO DEAL WITH THIS HOBBY SHOP AND FACE ALL THE UNPEASENT EXPERIENCES YOURSELF! Even another flier at Hyderabad also narrated such  some other unpleasent  experiences !

Mr Shiva
lets get into details before playing blame games

1)your order number 4094 was shipped 3 weeks ago

2)when you placed the order online the product 50a red brick esc was out of stock and was AVAILABLE ON BACK ORDER and it was clearly mentioned below add to cart button  not after you placed an order as per your saying

3)backorder for your kind  information means the product is out of stock and will be shipped one back in stock

4)Kewal had already informed you about the situation before shipping your products but still you had not responded to us wether you would like a refund or would wait untill the product is back in stock

5) after posting a complain you give us a call which was received and kewal spoke to you regarding this (still you complained that you were not able to speak to us )

6) please do not provide wrong information about a lhs,if you find our method of payment of stone age we have neft transfer which is not from the stone age

7) your write that we do not responce and then you mention our overall responce is irritating ?

i will surely create a blacklist of customers
so that other hobby stores dont have to deal with people like you

Technically speaking, its doable.
But,
In real life, its less or more like predicting the result of a dice throw, getting the exact number is quite difficult.
There is a join waitlist button though...
It sends an email to you when a product that you have opted for comes back.

That some images loading later thing is known as lazy loading.
Its a very common thing and it helps you by decreasing the unnecessary stuff downloaded
And it decreases the load on our server...
You can google lazy loading to learn more about it...
We're working on separate mobile apps (releasing soon) So, we haven't really worked on the website stuff for mobile...

So, there really isn't anything much to improve right now...

I too use 4g! *hi five*

I made an order with rcmumbai today, (the forth time) and am very disappointed with the service. I have placed only 4 orders till date and i have had problems with contacting chintal in 3 of those orders. What issue did you face exactly? I have had only good service from RCMumbai and QK. Contacting RCM can be a little difficult but that is due to the huge volume of communication they face.

Title: Re: non-professional vs professional hobbysites
Post by: roby on December 08, 2015, 09:31:55 PM
Satya Ji from quadkopters is a very helping person, and is reachable(for sure). I have made orders worth 50-70k+ with him even if i find cheaper counterparts in rcmumbai. So today i'd like to point out why hobby stores are not simply price tags but worth much more. You do not simply see prices and cross them out.

When order went wrong with satya ji, he was quick to send me replacements. Sometimes i even get freebies as apology.
He was quick to ship orders and always took care of emergency notes. I remember once i had problem with my kk board as couldn't get stable flight. I sent him the board back and he sent me a new one. Later i realised that board was fine and i wasn't able to configure the thing. Once my working flip32+ died in some crashes. He dint even demand the board to be sent back and sent me a new board. A whole new level of professionalism.  :salute:

I thought i will mention this because he's really helping person.

Now something about rcmumbai: my first and the second order went horrible(i had to call them up atleast 20-30 times and drop mails, and the order would never be shipped in 2 days)
3rd order went awesome, i was really happy as i was updated the tracking no. on the same day.
About replacements chintal made me clear than there is no warranty whatsoever, so i never dared to ask him for replacement for tiny issues i had with orders(one frame and an another component i cant recall)

Now about my issue: I placed an order today and attached and special mail and dropped a mail to them right then that i'll deposit the money and requested them to ship my order asap.
while making the order i realised that several options were missing(card transfer and bank deposit)
so i selected the only option bank transfer.
I went to a bank and deposited the amount sent to me(INR3958) and sent them the deposit receipt almost immediately.
after 4 hours i get a mail that i had to deposit 150extra.
My fault:I did the deposit not the bank transfer.
Constraint-I am leaving for my hometown on 12th, so if the order is not shipped today, i am very likely to miss it.

I dropped them mails, calls for hours, no response at all.
At 7:15 chintal responds to my whatsapp msg saying i selected bank transfer and not cash deposit, i sent him a text almost immediately with a click of a new order showing there was no bank deposit option.
but i got no response. I also sent him my problem and why i need to leave.
But after an hour all he told me was we have stopped bank deposit.
He wont pick up calls.

This is the only reason i prefer quadkopters, rcbazaar or any other website over rcmumbai. and probably this is my last order with rcmumbai unless i cant find something i need in any other hobbystore except rcmumbai.

in rcmumbai products are fine, quality is good, even shipping(if shipped on time) is reliable and fast, but these is no service at all. If you are the unlucky one who get the bad ones of the lot, you are pretty much screwed. And if you will have any problems like i just had, dont expect a quick response.
(Disclaimer-I am known to write harsh reviews, but only when i am frustrated to a whole new level, you can see how hard it would be for me to write such a review besides my entry to game changers and my good relations with chintal for years, i have met many who had similar experience with rcmumbai, but never someone who dint like satya sirs service)

The main reason why i am posting this is people should realise that besides price reliability of service matters too.

I've never faced any issue with rcmumbai regarding shipping or equipment.
I've bought lots of stuff from rcmumbai which cost more than 2,00,000/-(one was Phantom3 pro with extra battery)
I usually get my order next day at my home.(i'm from jaipur)
Chintal is mostly available after 12pm*7days(i always call him after 12pm and he always respond my call).
Satya sir is also a genune person i face issue only once whit him and he solved it soon.
Satya sir keeps off on saturday and sunday and respond between working hrs. However this is his policy and i've no problem with it.
But regarding shipping rcmumbai is best becaue they ship my order same day and QK ship next day to order placing date.

antriksh, you are right, well even i had a fab service once. And the prices are good thats why i did switch to rcmumbai for a while.
This was just my experience. 2 more friends of mine faced the same problem. I have made a total of 4 orders from rcmumbai and 8-10 from QK, so i have summed up my experience. I dint review rcmumbai on my first order/experience, and i seriously think they do need to work on their customer service.

Chintal isn't in India right now.
He's in China/Hong Kong

Will tell him to improve his customer relations..
Its hard for him to manage everything as he is in a college, manages many businesses and has to manage his social life too.
We're thinking of hiring a separate customer support manager...

I told you to message me whats the problem..waiting...

All his emails were replied
On the same day
I am traveling internationally hence answering phone calls is out question
Roby please only write the truth
Pretending something against the reality doesn't help

i have only written the truth, sry i dint know that you were not in india and ofcourse managing college with buisness must be hard.
My urgency was i had to leave on 12th, and if the order wasn't shipped on the same day, i probably will miss the package.
What am i to do here?
And yes ofcourse i do see a 1 day gap

@devang, idea of having a support manager is brilliant, trust me, it is required if you want to deliver value with goods

if reply is sent after 23hrs of continuous calls/mails/my post in rcindia,on a weekday and you call it a satisfactory customer service, i'm not buying this argument chintal
its my humble advice to you to work on your customer service

{and if you still think your shipping has been fast and reliable please check order #5897 which was not shipped until 18th(payment done on 15th, even reciept mailed on 16th) and i got order on 22nd), quadkoptors usually ships on the same day and i recieve it the other day(or max day after)}

if you still deny all of this and think your customer service is best and you dont need to work on this, then i have nothing to say but to wish you happy sales

I would still like a clarification how are you counting 23hrs ?
Your first mail received at 1:05Pm
And I replied back at 6:54 Pm on the same day 8th December

Title: Re: non-professional vs professional hobbysites

i am counting 23hrs as the differnce b/w 1st and 2nd mail of yours

chintal you need to understand this, please reread my situation if you still dont understand after countless calls/msg/mails

I did the transfer in the morning 8th dec. and i had to leave for my hometown on 12th evening, usually dtdc delivers the next day, but to make sure i receive the package, i wanted it shipped on the same day since if it arrives after 12th no one will be here to collect it, and the shipment will be lost.
I sent the receipt and almost immediately. After 3 and a half hours(4:30) i get a mail stating that i deposited 150 less. Now the bank closes at 5. I had to urgently resolve the issue so that it could be shipped on the same day. I called you, whatsapped you, mailed you,for 23 hrs. but no replies

Now put yourself into my situation chintal, wont you feel frustrated? Shall i just assume that rcmumbai is just about being patient, its like sabra ka fal meetha hota hai. If you need things urgently, or you need customer service,

[Admin Note] One phrase deleted... Mind your language... your urgency does not mean the usual 24 hour response expectation for emails are to be shortened

If you had such urgency you could have emailed me prior to placing the order that you need the product before 12th
Did you ?
I was traveling hence couldn't reply second time immediately
Posting on Rci doesn't mean that problem is solved

Just now you told that Rcmumbai  service is slow and we don't dispatch products on time then how did you assume that you will receive it by 12th ??
Its a public forum please mind your language

Roby, can you expect the same kind of shipping speed with other orgs like flipkart, amazon, etc. Some even has 7day shipping policy. When you can wait for such things for a good amount of time, why not with a fellow guy who puts his own money to import things and still sell it to you at a competitive price.

And Chintal is right, Roby, you should have explained about being un-available after 12th prior to placing the order. These guys are working hard to make RC stuff available to as at low prices. We should learn to be more patient.

I have seen this posted in some stores "Your urgency does not mean an emergency on my part". It is commonly expected that up to 24 hours (or even 48 hours) response time is normal for business communications.

On top of that, calling people names will never be tolerated here. Offending text is deleted, and OP is warned.

@anwar sir,
OP was avinash.tutu back in 2010.
Perhaps the warning was meant for someone else...

Edit:
Hope one of the parties involved remembers the cheap stuff he used to palm off earlier this year...
