Modelart is a good place to buy Thunder tiger stuff. I have got 3 cars from them. The reason is their prices are closer to what we get internationally compared to HPI India or the others.

Dont expect any discounts, just neat no-nonsense service. Avinash is very responsive to queries.

Their website is not up and running.Your best bet would be to call them or visit them.

There are usually 2-3 sales guys present at the store most of the time how are more  good at English than RC itself. If you have specific queries/requirements, better try to get hold of Avinash instead.

Great Store, good prices, just they need a more hobbyist friendly sales team.

The store is good but the sales guys dont know much about the products. +1 , model art needs some guys who are already in the hobby.

i bought a modelart sandstorm and its a great beginner RC car. U can later upgrade it and can make it more fun. relatively Chaep, reliable and great fun car. the modelart official site is now running but many updates are left there. By now, i think u might have bought a car.!

I am a beginner and planning to buy Model-art Sandstorm truggy. As suggested by your post it seems a right decision. But I am confused between this and Maisto Baja Beast. Can you help me in choosing (assuming you know about Baja Beast).
Baja Beast seems to have more review on net and may look better but speed wise I think the truggy is faster.
But pricewise the baja beast is liitle bit cheaper.
Also the price for truggy I am getting is 6K and Baja Beast for 5.5 K.
Are these price seems fine for what I will get.

Well, the maisto baja beast dont even lie in the range of hobby series off road buggy. U can urself make a car more faster than baja. Sandstorm,meanwhile,is the best entry car for hobbyists. And abv that, u just dnt need to think of speed, u get abv 25kmph, and with little upgrades of batteries and motors, u can achieve arnd 40kmph. Spare parts are also available for modelart. Believe me, I faced the same problem to choose between those two cars, but go for modelart. U can watch comparison videos on youtube. My advice would be go for sandstorm without any 2nd thought. And also, u can get it for 5.5k on flipkart. I bought modelart for 5500 rupees only.

Thanks man for clearing my confusion. I will go for Sandstorm. Let see how it goes, my first hobby grade RC after all those Rs 500 RC toy cars (of my kid  :) )

I bought it from flipkart for 5500rs two years ago.
It is still available there and on rcskyhobby and veelson5er too. Hope you find the best deal!
