We have seen a lot of discussion on the RC Aero side about dealers and their service. We at "www.trainaidsa.com" are planning to offer our products and other Model Trains in India. These are specifically for the passionate modeller from the tiniest scale (3mm) "T-Gauge" which you can see at: http://www.trainaidsa.com/shop-tgauge.shtml to larger scales in N and HO. All systems are controllable and larger scale systems are programmable.

We would welcome comments from members on their recommendations on dealers based on their service quality.

We would expect the dealers to offer basic repair and also stock some parts for the modellers to "kitbash" which we encourage. For that, we have a separate parts section too. We will be arranging training for dealers as that is a necessary part of our offerings.

For anyone visiting our site at TrainAidsA, we do not show the other scales on our site yet.

Please feel free to send your recommendations via private mail if you feel that the comments or recommendations may be inappropriate for the forum in general.

Thank you for your help.

This Is It

It's good to know that you are trying to  come into India with the model trains.

My experience has been that for some reason dealers in India have not be forth coming in marketing the hobby. Recently Hamleys UK offically brought the Hornby HO scale trains to India. They are selling DCC and non DCC models and accessories. This is a good start. I have been trying to persue this hobby for many years but with no luck. My recent visit to the US helped kick  start the passion and now have a good collection and it's growing. I have also started bulding HO scale building and other scenic models using balsa or hobby wood.

I would be interested in partnering with trainaidsa. It would be good to see India young generation taking this up as a hobby.. but its costly.. Wink
