hey guys the reason why you guys are getting it so late is due to your shipping method i chose ems and i had the products withing 5 days and but it is costlier. all your purchases can take up to 45 days for delivery

hello sreedhar

which shipping method did you opt for ??

Air Parcel : 6-21 Days transit time.(Incl. Registration)
Air Mail : 6-39 Days transit time. (3.09$)

air parcel is what i have selected so I'm expecting my stuff on 3rd week after dispatch,if yours is airmail then you may get it this coming week or 2

naa it offers cheap stuff at moderate prices,i have found there shipping prices to be high that is the reason i was hesitant all this time to buy from them but had to order  :-\

B/W if you are looking for good quality lipos go for Hyperion cells,I'm using them and are very good/value for money check out some deals going right now. There shipping is super fast n cheap just see this link (my previous order)

Hi all,
My feedback on two purchases ($100+ on express post and $200 on ordinary post)

Express post reached within 7 days, ordinary post about 40 days. For the ordinary post I also had "processing" state for almost 4 days, the I called them up and withing 2 hours the status changed to "shipped". so I guess it just might have been a case of data entry not being done properly....

Anyway, these fellows usually ship it nicely packed, so enjoy your wait.

It will reach India in a couple of days max, then the problem is that it keeps showing 'In Transit' in India for a long time. So don't get your hopes up yet, it is still a week before you get it.

I like pouring oil over the floor you are leaping on  ;)

Now is the part where you have to endure a frustrating long delay when your package disappears in Indian post and customs quagmire. You'll not see anymore tracking updates. But eventually your package will reach you with or without customs charges, it could take anywhere from a week to a month.

People who buy from Hobbycity would know when they place the order that it would take some time to arrive at ones door. The average delivery times are shown when one is placing the order. People who buy from Hobbycity or any other foreign online shop and select postal service as shipping method are those who are prepared to wait.

Rao, Sounds like you want to pick up a fight with me. Looking at your profile pic, you seem to be heftily built, so I'm going to pass  :P

Please don't look for ulterior commercial motives behind every post from vendors. Very very few of my posts here are of commercial nature. There was nothing against buying from hobbycity (or anywhere else from India or abroad for that matter) in my post. In fact if you look at some of my pics you might see hobby city stuff :D I have had my share of good and bad from buying from them, not hobbycity's fault but that of our post and customs. Let me just say I'm not really pleased with the way they treat stuff we have put our money on.

and a total of 21 days after my stuff was processed by hobby-city, i think this is a good time considering the money involved and the quality of the goods look worth the money.

Some time you do get that attached on your parcels and that is the correcrt way to contest the customs claims if you think it is not correct. But be sure you know your facts and figures before contesting the customs duty imposed on your package.
Nice photo there Sahil

Ask one of your buddies to buy it for you. Buy him an ice cream or so, if not tell him you would pay him 100 bucks for every purchase u make on his CC. ;D
There is an option of Western union, never tried it.

My first HC order was placed on 19th Feb but still the Ware house status is "Processing"...

Title: Re: my 1st hobby city order
Post by: atul_pg on February 27, 2010, 01:09:19 PM
Hi Sriharishine,

This happened with me as well..What you need to do is immediately send a mail to cs@hobbyking.com and mention your order no and necessary details, probably one of your item is in backorder and that is why this happens...

So when you send this mail keep on checking your Hobbycity account and pretty soon you will get a cancel/credit for that particular item..When you cancel/credit it that amount can be used for later purchases..

Shoot a mail right away..

HK is very short staffed in Feb/March due to Chinese holidays. Expect at least 15-20 days before they process your order. They have thousands and thousands of orders and very backlogged.

Title: Re: my 1st hobby city order
Post by: vinay on February 27, 2010, 03:10:22 PM
And 2 important staff have quit HK adding to the problem. It depends on the type of customer you are. I am a platinum customer(10+ orders), and If I place an order today then it will be processed and shipped within 3 working days even now ;)

Was it a registered Airmail you ordered through? If yes just forget about it and relax. Also check if there are any backorders by clicking on the order in the my accounts page. If any 1 of the item is back ordered, then you have to wait till it is back in stock. Below is an example of my current back order:

Z22003S20C    ZIPPY Flightmax 2200mAh 3S1P 20C    3    Backorder
F008    Part # F008 Linkage Rod Set    1    Reserved

The Reserved indicate they have it, The Backorder indicate they dont have it and are waiting. Just check that out.
