Title: Payment gateway - Hobbysea.com
Post by: Hobbysea.com on November 11, 2015, 10:00:39 AM
hello hobbyists

payment gateway from payu is added to our store , so no more need to visit  bank for payments ,
but there are some additional charge near to  2.5 % above the order amount .

payment gateway means you can use you debit card or credit card to pay for your orders instantly ,so that order can be processed instantly .

just select the payment by debit card or credit card during check out , then you will receive a link from
payu on your e mail, click on that link and you will be redirected to the payment gateway , this procedure is same as when you are ordering from your phone ,its just you will get a sms while using phone (please leave a comment while ordering  if you want to get link on  sms  ).

suggestions are always invited
thankyou

Why is it that some online sellers charge some percentage over the order amount while others don't when online payment facility is used ?

really do not have any clue why some website do not charge extra , may be they have some tie up with banks as they are very big in comparison or may be they are giving them a good business.

we personally request all to go for neft , but some time payment gateway is the only option .

@Santacrus Various factors go into the payment gateway charges thing. First, there are different types of payment gateways, some charge a transaction % cost ( which the shop can take from you ), others can take a yearly fee for giving the shop a payment gateway ( Which the shop has to pay from its own wallet ) and some can take both...
Other than this, the shop might have added the payment gateway cost in the product cost itself, so, you don't realise this but you might have actually paid for the payment gateway if the payment gateway provider is charging % cost and the shop isn't showing that % to you separately in the bill.
In the end, it doesn't really matter, because whether the shop is separately showing you the transaction charges or not, chances are, you have paid the transaction charges in some way.
