Title: QuadKopters.com
Post by: satyagupta on October 03, 2012, 01:03:36 PM
Launching a new RC online store QuadKopters.com (http://QuadKopters.com) no prize for guessing but, will mainly stock products which are required for multirotors/quadcopters, like ESC which are designed for multirotors, brushless motors, Flight Controllers, Frames, Connectors, Silicon Wires, SF Propellers etc.

Still building the product database and working on the website development, for any queries or suggestion let me know. You can PM me or drop a mail to webmaster@quadkopters.com

This is great news.I was looking for a quadkopter here in India but I want a system which can be upgraded to FPV and should be in RTF form, something like the bumblebee.I have no clue right now as to what all is needed to be operational so your help would be appreciated.Do you have any or plan to have in near future. I have a futaba 2.4 6ch TX/RX. can they be used with a quadkopter?

Motors will be 2212 1000KV / 1050KV generating around 1000grams of thrust (per motor)

Finally the big question what will be the weight of this bird?

(http://s12.postimage.org/v8y4mg349/rtf_450_weight.jpg) (http://postimage.org/image/v8y4mg349/)

894 Grams does not includes the weight of the receiver, keychain camera and propellers (10 inc) i think the total weight including all should be around 1000 Grams to 1100 Grams

This will be available for purchase after 20th of February, have still nto decided on price but thinking to keep it around 11K - 13K not to mention price will include shipping to all over India using Speedpost

@Dharmik bhai coupons and vouchers are almost ready, but to be very true there are very less product to which i can provide any discount. Many of the products have very cut to cut pricing i dont earn much with them :'( hence i am confused about the product to which give the discounts for. :headscratch:

Post by: v2 eagle on May 07, 2014, 01:24:01 AM
Being a Fanboy of quadkopters.com i hate to write this but i have to after this incident which happened today.

one more quadkopters simonk 30A esc smoked for no reason.this is the fourth one which smoked and killed another motor.

Incident 1:Bought this thing first somewhere around december last year and smoked just few mins after i connected it to the battery.
motor ran for just few seconds and stopped. i tried to give throttle but nothing happened but this time the motor started to give some sound and started smoking. Hobbyking donkey died a horrible death. though it was the problem with the motor and replaced it with emax 2812 and that too smoke. so narrowed down the problem to esc and ditched both motors and esc and bought some emax 2812/hobbywing skywalker esc and everything went happily.

Incident 2:the tricopter bug bit me and bought 3x bumble bee motor and 3xquadkopters simonk30A esc. i thought the first piece i bought was faulty and hoped there wont be any problem with those anymore. and those esc proved me wrong. the moment i connected the escs one smoked and burned. i immediately called satya sir and he accepted to replace it. and my tricopter build was over and everything was going fine again.

Incident 3: one fine day while i was flying my tricopter i sensed something wrong on second flight. but i choose to go with one more flight, but this time i can see clearly the motor slowing down and stopped sending the copter into a fast loop and crashed into ground from around 15feets. the speed at which it crashed was terrible and could easily kill anyone. later did i found that all arms were broke and props are into pieces. collected everything and checked them back at home and one more esc smoked and a motor too.

Incident 4: disassembled the tricopter and choose to use the motors and esc for my plane project. installed on in my pitts and tested this today with a 10"prop. everything was running fine but suddenly the motor stopped and made sound. and one more esc smoked today.

In all the above 4 incident, except the one which failed in the tricopter all the other escs smoked while i was holding them in my hands and i could certainly say they never went warm before failing/smoking. they just stopped after running fine for few seconds and smoked all of a sudden.

No chance of overpropping as i was using recommended props and the esc were well above the limit of the motor.

no short circuits between the motor wires and they were secured with heat shrink sleeves. no reverse polarity, no cooling issues, they were kept in open and not enclosed anywhere during working. be it the tricopter/flying wing/pitts python all time the esc were kept in the open and well ventilated.

the motor were running fine and there is no binding/struck issues even after they smoked. above all the way the esc failed remains same for all the escs. and they behaved same after failing except one which burned!!!

Im sure there is some sort of manufacturing defect with these escs or they might be overrated/made of some cheap components which fails eventually. i still have one more esc left which still works fine. this is not a matter of money i have lost but its about dissapoinment/frustration while something fails for no reason and stopping you from completing your project. and about the chances of accident that could happen since the ultimate use is with multicopters which flies over someone's head eventually. Hope Satya sir comes up with some solution to this.

I would still recommend this shop for other best products and the service offered by him but was totally dissapointed with one particular product the 30A escs. whats so paining about them is that they dont fail alone, instead they smoke the motors too.
Can someone please share their experience with this particular product if they have any.

Ashok.P

Ashok - I had bought 3 nos of the same (haven't used them) - good thing that you have bought this to light - I will test my ones with a spare motor and revert .

Have you tried cutting off the shrink wrap and examining the components ?

Satya - will you accept returns ?? My ones are still new in the package.

@Ashok, when did this happened? i mean we had 2 suppliers of these 30A ESC, i was having lot of issues with my first supplier (i got around 20 x 30A back) i had to change the supplier.

The new 30A that came in to stock last month i.e. April is from New Supplier and till now have sold over 50 pcs of them and haven't received any complains so far.

Yes from the previous supplier, i did received few complaints. I immediately stopped selling any 30A from that stock (still have over 15 pcs 30A lying around)

Could you please tell me when did you bought these 30A was this before April or post April?

@saikat surely i can accept return but i cannot refund the money would you be interested in buying anything else instead of those? But instead can you please test them and let me know your thought's about it? cos the ones that you have are from new supplier.

If yes then I plan on using them

Yes orders that was placed in Jan/Feb for 30A was from old stock from old supplier which was having many complaints. So we removed 30A from stock for 1 month (March) and from April we got a new supplier for 30A and the ones that you have are from New Supplier,

If you can please test and post a review it would be very help full. If they get burnt or cause any damage i would take them back with no questions asked. :)

@Saikat,
one esc got burned and smokes everytime i connect it to a lipo either with or without a motor.
all the other escs smokes only when connected with motor. so i choose to use them as a 2A BEC for my upcoming nitros.
i ripped open one esc and found that the current booster esc has popped open . should be some poor quality ics. but surprisingly they never get hot moments before failure. it was fine and then it stops and it smokes. all of them !!!

@Satya sir.
Thanks for accepting a replacement. those escs were bought somewhere around jan. and yes i will test these too and let you know the results but will take some time. my copter is broken into almost pieces and two motors already smoked. can take up to one month to fund new motors and frame. luckily KK board and Lipo are still fine.

PS: eyeing on the fiberglass centerboard in your store. will buy them in few weeks.

Thanks saikat for writing that down, i had so many mails after this post with query regarding the ESC.

And last week i received 2 ESC back from customer saying that it was not working, when we tested we found that bad solder bullet connectors was cause of the problem. :( Customer was novice and he accepted his mistake, that is not the problem for me. But the problem is when you get so many ESC back without customers using them and just by reading this post.

I hope your comment is ready by everyone.

And thanks roshan for the kind words, i buy from factory (Boscam,SunnySky) hence it takes some time for me to get the goods restock.

If you still see "Bummer website is down" name server ip is not yet propograted to your DNS pointer. Consider changing NS to google public dns 8.8.8.8/8.8.4.4

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: vijai on June 22, 2014, 03:36:30 PM
Its already propagated in most countries. If the page still appears it should be the local dns cache or the browser cache. In that case, just do
  • windows+r
  • cmd
  • ipconfig /flushdns

and the dns cache will be flushed. Then refresh the website few times ;)

Another bad ESC issue here. Ashok gave me one of his spare ESC for my 1st plane. Was working fine for him so long and for my 1st flight. Today, when I was correcting the mistakes, It was fine for first few mins. Motor was spinning fine. Then suddenly motor stopped and heard some deep frying noise. Removed the fuse and damn! Dense white fumes was flowing out of the fuse  :o I was in extreme panic and just pulled the battery out with full force. Removed the heat shrink out of the ESC and all fet were fried...

Note: The ESC wasnt bought now although dont know when it was bought. Will ask ashok (v2 eagle) to clarify the same.

Yes orders that was placed in Jan/Feb for 30A was from old stock from old supplier which was having many complaints. So we removed 30A from stock for 1 month (March) and from April we got a new supplier for 30A and the ones that you have are from New Supplier

Thats from old supplier :) still have few lying around in warehouse, i immediately stopped selling from that stock.

this is the last stuff i have what i bought for my tricopter. 2esc and 2 motors smoked. Sold the third motor in this forum. Gave the last esc to vijay. It came in the same slot which i posted earlier. Pity is, it rung good without fine, not even barely warm. amazing firmware, all goes fine untill the magic smoke comes out. Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: satyagupta on July 14, 2014, 06:16:20 PM
Suppliers would give them to you very cheap lolz

Jokes apart but i did not know until customer start complaining.

So my logic is, one customer can get a bad product but many customers cannot. It has to something real bad in the box.

When is started getting calls and all similar issues, i immediately stopped sales searched for a new supplier with better product and sent a replacement.

BTW in electronic and specially from China market you never know when something would fail.

This is very important, i have created a good test bench for ESC and MOTORs.

But still as you see from Ashok's comments it used to work fine but then one fine day it betrayed the trust :(

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: v2 eagle on July 15, 2014, 01:07:52 AM
This is nothing anyone can do about, Satya sir, or the supplier. This should be taken to the manufacturer and he is at fault.
Most of the times the supplier would not be the manufacturer and he would just buy and sell stuffs in wholesale.
As i mentioned already, all the faulty ones fails the same way, runs fine for 10-15 flights and then one fine day it starts smoking. nothing changed except that sometimes it smokes the motor too. No one can predict this as it doesn't even gets warm.
P.S:No one ever complained of branded ones going down like this.!!!

Ashok.P

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: satyagupta on July 15, 2014, 09:13:48 AM
The ESC that was faulty was from supplier who use to do resale, But the new ones are from the manufactures directly so the chances of getting bad esc is very less. If you closely check the 30A esc that i have in store the materials used are same as that of HK F30A

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com

and the color also changed to green from blue..

even i had one bad 30A esc (out of four) purchased from satya bhai but i kept quit and reorder another single piece and started flying,

the reason is to let the friendly LHS grow

No, 30A ESC from new supplier are in BLUE Cover, but this time due to a mistake by a worker they sent Green instead of Blue, 30A SimonK esc will always come with Blue cover.

Though this stock (500 pcs) would have green cover

@bhanu very much thank for the kind gesture, you would definitely get your replacement ESC with your next order :hatsoff:

 {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)} {:)}

We turned 2 years this month and thanks for your support, trust and confidence we are growing every day. I would like to assure you that we do not take this confidence for granted. Started in Oct' 2012 with just 4 products and now we have over 150 different types of products.

We have been working together as a team with only one purpose  "PROVIDE BEST PRODUCTS, SERVICE AND AFTER SALES SUPPORT"

I believe that customers should be treated in fair and balanced manner, hence fair and transparent dealing is core practice that we all (at quadkopters) follow.

We have not only made customers but we have made relationship. And we do every bit to make sure that this relationship lasts long very long. We are happy when a customer does purchase on our store but "real happiness" is when they share the build experience and excitement with us.

Anniversary/Birthday is just another milestone, we would try to cross many. But our main aim is to keep growing/learning and provide better than the best service that we can.

As we continue to build a stronger partnership together, we fully recognize that your support and the continued trust that you place in us is the foundation of our success. I thank you for your support and the trust.

Due very poor service we have decided to discontinue paid shipping option by first flight. Instead we would be providing paid shipping using either DTDC or BlueDart.

You would see the update about the same by today EOD or tomorrow.

Dtdc seems to be doing faster deliveries than blue dart for the last few months. Even tho bluedart is double cost. First flight is Ekdam useless.

DTDC it is

But its bit costly than first flight and very confusing weight slabs. But still DTDC have been selected as our next courier provider.

I found EMS Speedpost cheaper and safer specially while sending transmitter. Blue-dart consignment sometime needs TAX attention specially where state entry tax is applied like WestBengal. My several shipment get delayed. One LHS have also suffered for this. But Speedpost never flops for me being a resident of WestBengal.

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: sooraj.palakkad on October 28, 2014, 06:41:15 PM
I have received shipments through Bluedart, DTDC, Firstflight, Professional ,EMS speedpost...

DTDC  : Tracking is a head ache, delayed delivery.
Bluedart: Correct tracking usually prompt delivery, but service is very limited to cities.
Firstflight: No much experiences, I don't remember properly.
Professional: Tracking is waste, lagged delivery.

Now a days I prefer only EMS speed post for sending or receiving, The fact is it have never failed for me.
  1) Home delivery in any cone of India (where there is normal postal service).
  2) Tracking facility beats some reputed courier companies now a days(Accurate tracking).
 3) It never took more than a week to deliver anything.

So I prefer EMS speedpost as of now.
I don't know why, still people are hanging around the regular courier services.

Yea true, we offer Free shipping via SpeedPost EMS.

But its bit slow, sometimes some customers need shipment faster hence paid options.

Personally even i prefer Shipment via EMS

It's best to have both options Ems and dtdc . Each fills a void.

As in my case I have never got shipments through courier services faster than EMS - that may be because I live in a village - I don't know whether reputed courier services have rocket fast delivery in cities.

For remote locations EMS is best and of for other areas they can go with private couriers.

Almost all logistics companies sucks in my opinion. After looking at the images, you would understand what led me to form that opinion;)

Both the packages came through first flight, luckily other than bent props everything(telemetry, another gps module) was safe.
The gps came through EMS with dislodged connectors/ broken battery connector and hasnt worked till date after trying every other configuration. This was back to back  :(

Bluedart is only company which has been satisfactory wrt condition of the package/delivery time, sad that they have restriction on sending electronic equipments and are costly.

Courier companies believe they are not liable even if the parcel gets lost, forget about damaged product. This needs to change!

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: satyagupta on October 29, 2014, 01:27:06 PM
Thats really shocking images :( but i really try my best to provide enough wrapping around the goods. EMS is worse but i have heard that FirstFlight have started following them too.

I personally had very very bad experience with DTDC (2 times my package was lost, 1 after reaching my nearest franchise location) hence i dont trust DTDC but i have heard lot of good things about them.

BlueDart is known to be the best of the service providers but they are very expensive.

I am not sure if any one is aware of this fact or not, but Fedex is lot better than any other private courier providers. They refuse to take any package if they think that it would not sustain or cause some serious damage to the package.

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: SideWinder on October 29, 2014, 01:46:22 PM
Fedex is new and uses third party delivery in many locations(mine specifically) which is a bit of headache. Had a couple of late deliveries but package arrived safely.

As for Dtdc, I have literally seen them throwing the sack from the truck, then dragged into their office(this was during rainy season). My parcel was in same bag  >:( On asking them why the carelessness, the worker didnt consider a reply was necessary and went ahead with throwing some more bags and receptionist had an innocent/helpless smile.

EMS has the best reach and is acceptably reliable.

For inbound packages to my location only EMS delivers. For outbound packages most couriers
are available.

Some couriers in my area send their pkts by EMS to the nearest metro from where it is taken over by a
sub agent who does the delivery.

FACT : most couriers do not have a truly PAN INDIA network. Instead they operate thru various sub agents. Very you will find one agent who delivers for 20 couriers.

the people who have truly phenomenal reach and service are the E Retailers like Flipkart,Amazon and Myntra. Maybe some LHS will partner with Amazon....

The agents you say, DTDC , Professional , Firstflight , etc.. are working through agents.

But Bluedart, Aramex etc.. have their own logistics.

Just a funny experience of me.
A few  I few months ago, I needed 9 nos of HP M1136. Amazon being lowest price for that with COD option. But dont accept one order at a time. After one delivery, I ordered another. After getting 3 nos they started to cance my order. Then I have to add another item as first item and then got 2 nos. Later I have to book by another person's address and name.

The funnier thing is that First  lot comes with very good packaging over HP Packaging with air cushion. Later they shipped without air cushion in all direction and reduced box. Lastly it came by a local courier having Gati Surface stamped, but the outer package is missing. The bill was pasted with cellotape over Hp packaging only. It seems to me, the outer packaging was taken by local courier. Otherwise, the bill packate wont pasted by cellotape but with self adhesive envelop. However the internal machine was intact. Last shipment from Snapdeal came by the same person and the outer packaging is again missing.

Aramax has misbehaved earlier with my mom for which I have to written report. They conveyed that the sub-vendor/person was discontinued due to my complain. You can see in their website if available now.

The Misbehaviour of EMS is that for large shipment the peon dare for damage and give ticket to our house which any one need to produce at local Post Office and can take the package. But the small package always comes to my doorstep and by Govt. employee each time. Even some has become so popular that my neighbours can tell who came and posted the bill to post box.

Thanks

EMS, only does that for large or heavy packages - and we know why that is, our postman is walking to houses with the packages, how can a person carry a package that does not fit inside,a bag ? , I won't blame them. atleast they put a notice for that , courier companies will give a call and send it back in 3 days if we dn't turn up !!

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: KALYANPRODHAN on October 29, 2014, 11:45:05 PM
No, Postmasters send postman again if anyone not take the package even after giving the ticket after few days. One time that happened to my brother when he lost the ticket. The postman again came and knowing that, he asked to attend with any valid ID proof and then they delivered that from local post office. Those shipment was ubuntu CD for free distribution in Calcutta book fair from IT Pavelion. and the package is a large one. I appreciate Indian postal service and feels proud .

Most courier companies just start their business without enough coverage and claim them to be popular.
but they call us and says "sir your area dont come in our coverage area" one such incident happened with Tirupathi couriers while they said they dont have service as my home is remote place. God man, i dont know how they could simply throw out a simple lie. finally i took the matters to their customer service and they delivered it through ST couriers. this thing never happened to me with EMS. I choose ems whenever there is an option with LHS.

Guys catching up with you my experience with all are quite PATHETIC ... NOT ONLY DOES EMS N DTDC throw their parcels even fedex and bluedart do the same .... according to me the speed and carefully handling parcel  depends on the overall logistic traffic over  that specific place .... Before some time lets say around few years back these event were not so rampant ...Companies such as Bluedart,Fedex, even First Flight etc delivered parcel on time as those days sites such as Flipkart,Snapdeal, etc were quite not so popular and mostly people in big cities and metros accessed them the most ... But now as e-commerce has evolved so much in India resulting in clogging up all logistic companies   the sufferer is basically people like us as there is more importance to e-commerce giants as most of the money these logistic companies make is from them .... honestly speaking  EMS has now become the fastest ........but one has to pack really well to withstand the beating ,throwing............

@satyagupta

I am thinking of building my first quad with ST360 kit at http://www.quadkopters.com/product/arf-kit-rtf-kit-and-frames/360-arf-kit-w-kk2-1-controller/ . I don't have any previous experience of building a quad and have only flown a Syma X5C-1 RTF. Eventually my intention is using the quad to click photos and videos. But I can't invest that much at this moment. I need a few suggestions regarding building the ST360 quad.

1. As I understand from the link, I need to get a 3 Cell LiPo, a Radio and a LiPo charger.
(a)Can you suggest models of a decent radio which works with the quad but doesn't cost too much?
(b) Please suggest a LiPo which will give decent flying time (at least 10 min) and a Charger too. I may need to buy multiple LiPos, now or later, depending on the cost.

I need to keep the overall cost as low as possible.

2. What other accessories do I need apart from the kit, the radio, Lipo and charger? For example, do I need to get bullet connectors, additional screws and nuts, spacers, any additional connectors and wires, straps etc.?

3. Is there any link/video that you are aware of which discusses building a ST360 quad? Please provide a link if possible.

4. Do I need to flash the controller or something to get the basic functionalities?

5. Is it possible to get the newer KK 2.1.5 board instead of the KK 2.1 with the kit?

6. Will it be possible to add a GPS module and FPV in the future?

Thanks in advance.

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: ashimda on June 15, 2015, 09:10:17 AM
1. Cheap radios: Flysky or Turnigy 9X.

2. The kit does not come with bullet connectors. Not really needed if you can solder. Zip ties are always a good idea.

3. http://www.rcindia.org/multirotors/buildlog-st360-quadcopter-by-rahulvyas/

4. KK comes preloaded with FW. You can upgrade FW later if required.

5. Thats up to Satya.

6. Not with the KK board.

Welcome to the forum.

Ashim.

Thanks Ashim,

About point 5, KK 2.1 and KK2.1.5 are almost same. Not much of the difference.

But yes now the kits come with KK2.1.5 not KK2.1

@santanucus

I own a ST 360 quad (bought from quadcopters.com) and can assure you that it's a great kit for a beginner. Loads of people here own this quad and can guide you with the build if you decide to purchase it.

1. (b) I get 12 - 15 min flight time with a 2200 mAh LiPo with great flight characteristics.

3. There are no build videos out there as the construction part is simple enough. Problems arise only due to improper electrical connections and configuration.

If you are really certain about adding a camera and GPS later on, get the ST 360 kit priced at Rs. 3500. It comes with bullet connectors and all required hardware.
http://www.quadkopters.com/product/rtf-kit-and-frames/st360-kit/

Then get an APM flight controller board and a 4-in-1 ESC module. The APM is easier to configure and use than the kk board. You can also add GPS, compass, fpv, telemetry etc later. A 4-in-1 ESC module is easier to connect and costs less than buying 4 individual ESCs.

I understand that you want to keep the cost low but getting cheaper stuff will only cost you more later.

Welcome to RC India!  ;D

Thanks a lot @ashimda, @satyagupta and @Swapnil for the detailed posts.

I can solder ..so that won't be a problem.

I have some further questions on this...

1. Regarding the brushless motors like ST2210...don't these have CW and CCW ones? Are all motors same? In that case how do they operate in CW and CCW mode?

2. Is there a need to buy any separate Rx module to communicate with the Tx ? I don't see any Rx module mentioned in these kits. Or are they integrated with the controller board? Is any special configuration required to bind the Tx with the Rx / controller?

3. Most of the quad configurations have the circuits virtually exposed unlike RTF ones that are available in the market. How well do these frames cope with crashes? Do the motors last long?

Thanks again.

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: ashimda on June 15, 2015, 10:57:43 PM
1.Motor spin direction is determined by how you connect the esc to the motor.

2.You have to have your own radio and receiver, as most kits do not provide them. Different brands of radio have different binding procedures.

3.Crashes are unpredictable as to what sort of damage you will sustain. You will definitely need spare props and a lot of them, as these take the most beating.

Go to Youtube and search for rcmodel reviews Channel or flight test, you will learn all you need to know.

Ashim.

Guys, i want to mention that DTDC Mumbai Apex is facing some issues (related to logistics and software) due to which all DTDC shipments are being either delayed or no update when you try to track via DTDC website.

We have been notified that it might continue till Ganapathi Festival (27th Sep 2015)

I regret the in-convenience caused and would keep checking/following up with local provider to ensure proper and safe transit of each shipment.

Dear darshan, when i was trying to find a logistics partner below was the list of my preferences.

1. BlueDart
2. Aramax
3. Fedex
4. Delhivery
5. Professional Couriers

You can see that DTDC was never my choice, but customers choice. I consistently used to get request to ship via dtdc.

BlueDart, Fedex and Aramex does not pick up facility from the location where we are based. (410206) Delhivery wanted us to handover the warehouse to them so that they can handle the after order process. I was not sure how they would handle it.

Delhivery is a branch of snapdeal too. There is also EKart as an option.

Sharing a recent experience.
Bought an item from QK several months ago, and gave it to a friend.
He used it once or twice, and set it aside for several months as he was not flying.
Then when he tried to use it again, it failed.
He sent it to QK with a complaint.
Satya mailed me a query as he didn't know this person (ordered by me)

The issues were:
1. Returned by a person other than the original purchaser.
2. Reason was not that product was defective when received.
3. Returned after several months
4. While the claim was genuine, it was not legally tenable.

What was QK's response?
After checking with me, he sent a brand new replacement!
He has not even so far accepted my offer to pay all costs incurred on repair/replacement/ postage etc.
This is OUTSTANDING customer service  :hatsoff: and I'm grateful to Satyagupta Ji.

Request to readers of this post - please do not bombard them with old returns! Just call Satya first.

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com

Same thing has happened with me and some other people too! I wonder how Satya makes his profits if he keeps replacing items that worked when the buyer received them.
I know shops have replacement policies but they don't replace the item after a certain amount of time has passed or if the item worked upon receiving. Satya just takes this replacement thing to the mountain tops!

I know him since I sold him a quad kit before he had even started quadkopters.com. He's one of the few guys on RCI I truly respect!  :salute:

I just have one request for everyone: Please people, don't take advantage of Satya's generosity!

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: santanucus on December 26, 2015, 08:01:28 AM
I completely agree. I have purchased most of my components from Quadkopters.com and this is one of the best shops in India. So far all of my components functioned properly..so there has been no need for a replacement. But he promptly answered to my queries whenever I required.

Customer service is something which we lack in India. Building customer confidence is something which pays in the long run in terms of business even if it might cause some losses in the short run. For me at least, whenever I require some items, I first check with QK and order it from there even if I find marginally lower price elsewhere.

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com

Thank you Iyer sir and Swapnil, thanks a lot and it really mean a lot to me. But i did not wanted you guys to mention this thing on the forum, now i will get tons of request to replace items which were sold like a long time back and is now not working  :banghead: :banghead:

Swapnil in your case the supplier was very very supportive, we are doing business with the supplier from a very long time and he also understands that sometimes things just either stop working or it dont work at all. So the replacement for you was easy. But for Iyer sir's situation was very difficult since the item was sold in July i think and the customer came to me in Nov for replacement.

Now the first question that supplier ask is when was it bought and when we say 3 months back they say send it back to us to check/test. blah blah and more things but i just managed to get a replacement in that case too it was bit tough but somehow i got it right.

For me customer service is key to any business, no matter your business is how big or how small if you are not providing good after sales service or support to your customer you are not doing it right. But at the same time i dont mean that all the customers request are genuine there are many times customer just call and try to get replacement of the items which was damaged due to their miss handling.

This reminds me of a situation:
Customer called in and said that i had bought a lipo and now they are not charging.
I said did you used it, he said yes used it few times and charged it too but now its not charging.
I asked were you careful while flying, he said yes the model did not crashed.
I said: No i mean did you use the low voltage protection? Like any alarm or anything to make sure that battery does not goes below the safe level. He said no
Moreover when he bought the lipo first time he used it without charging it. (we all know that before the first use we have to charge the lipo)

Long story short, there are also customers like these who just use goods carelessly and then show the anger when its not replaced.

Anyways thanks a lot again for the appreciation, i have been trying my best to make sure customers are happy with QK and i will keep doing the same till i can.

I wonder how Satya makes his profits

Sometimes its not about profit, its about relationship and the trust that customer shows in us, i just try my best to meet their expectation :)

Please people, don't take advantage of Satya's generosity!

I hope the same  :giggle: :giggle:

I first check with QK and order it from there even if I find marginally lower price elsewhere.

Thanks Shantanu, this really means a lot since we have so much competition now.  :hatsoff: :hatsoff: :hatsoff:

I will try to keep the same thing going.  :salute: :salute:

well it was easy to get these earlier but now its not and bit frustrating for us. Since i dont have very good contacts in customs importing this is not easy and possible at the moment.

I have tried couple of times but always they ask for ETA and other bu*****t doc to clear it.

Sir
I think qk is one of the best lhs for multis. Till now
it would be great if you stock small bits of multirotor parts.
Like cc3d specified gps , cf sheets gf sheets.
Lipo single cells (as many of have damaged cells in our lipos ) .
I wish him loads of luck and a bright future for his store.
Thanks

@Satya Sir and @Tanmay :)
newbie question -Whats the use of Carbon Fiber(CF) and Glass Fiber(GF) Sheets in quadcopters...?
In what way we are talking about ?

are these used to make the center structure ? Where we keep FC

Title: Re: QuadKopters.com
Post by: satyagupta on February 03, 2016, 10:16:30 AM
yeap to make custom frames. Many of my customers and many other users do make their own custom frame. And they use either CF or GF sheets. Depending on their budget.

Unfortunately, im facing problems with Bluedart couriers third party shipping.  sp4mm3rings.in (http://www.sp4mm3rings.in) doesn't show updated tracking information. I'd be prefer other shipping companies next time.

Sorry, i was not clear. I am from Nepal and am using PO box parcel redirection service from Bluedart. Your shipping options are great and i have posted this for similar people like me who redirect the parcels to non-serviceable locations.
