Hi guys! So, i have been working with the guys at RCM for a new site and im proud to tell you that you all can access the new site from 7th October!
"RCM isn't just a LHS anymore, its an experience, an experience that people will love"

So, here are some example images of the brand new RCM, but, BEWARE, this is just the tip of the iceberg, there are more than 70 new features and these are just 9!

So, to make it INTERESTING, the person who can name all the 9 new features ( Note: there are 70+ new features, these pics just so happen to display only 9 ) Will get something awesome!

Finally!  The new website looks slick.. Hope you have fixed the search bug that plagued the old site.. Also will we be able to use our old accounts or register again?

Looks nice was trying to get on to RCM day before yesterday and saw mail address of IGCR listed for any queries and understood you guys were doing something cool. :)

Some features i can see are- Background images,instead of products drop down all various sections are listed above, help chat, image accompanying section description(cars and parts,multis and parts etc), a right hand column list with all sections listed, Fb and twitter login, of course a new logo, easily accessible login and register button, new product display format,a new cart format and i guess a sliding top list(moves with page as you scroll down).

Some really good features added and the page looks really nice. :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

@medicineman Yes, all accounts along with previously placed orders are available, and as new feature, you can connect ur twitter and fb accounts as well, so that u can login with just one click! And there is an offer!
@Aniket, Neil, Saunak & Cyber Hack You guys are really close! If we don't get the perfect answer, we will select the closest one!
@rcparkjets There is a lot of creativity. I used shopkeeper as a template theme, the main theme is custom made by me and it infuses with shopkeeper to create one of a kind of a site ( I can send you my theme files, which work with Shopkeeper if you don't believe me ) and no, there aren't many plugins used. I embedded most of the functionality right in the theme so that the site loads fast and images use cdns so, images are fast as hell as well. There are more than 9K customer ids, and 14K orders placed, importing them into another CMS or a full custom job will be quite difficult so i decided that sticking to the same CMS is the safest bet.
And, i am not hurt, i can see that people can question my morality if they can't do the same stuff.

Looks like the RC mumbai site is still under maintenance. I tried logging in now and it still says 'site under maintenance'

Hey! There were some delays with the domain transfer stuff.
We're currently working on a video and figuring out other stuff
Expect the site to be live by 9pm or 10pm.

Guys, many apologies but Chintal was recently admitted in a hospital because of dengue fever and we really can't go ahead and launch the store without his final preview and consent. Might take 30 mins or even a day or two.
Lets hope he gets well soon!

@rcparkjets & @andy: Either thats a server load problem or DNS propagation from your ISP is still incomplete. Please try it once more in the evening and if it still doesn't work, try clearing your cache and cookies. Its most probably not a server error because i would get an email if we reach even 75% of resource limits.

@meet2ami That means that your ISP still thinks rcmumbai.com is located at our previous servers. Please wait till evening and/or clear your cache. If that still doesn't work, please give me your ISP's name and i will find out when they last updated their database.

I can access RCM now!

i switch to mblaze from reliance broadband n now i can access your webside but unfortunately after a long wait syma x8c is out of stock so i have to buy from banggood

Ahh even I can access now. Great to see the new makeover of RC Mumbai! Good work Chintal, Devang and team.
Few points of improvement from my side:

1. The filter is available based on price only. It would be better if more filter options are there. For example for Lipos, filter based on number of cells, C rating, mAh etc.

2. For some items in the lipo section, there are no detailed description. Only 'weight .25g' is mentioned. That has to be taken care of.

3. The scroll bar on the right hand side is not appearing! Not sure whether it is the problem of my browser or a generic one! for other sites it is there!

Anyways, these are my point of view. Again, good work RC Mumbai, keep it up!

1) We will update the site by tomorrow.
2) I will tell Chintal to update that.
3) Yes, we have removed the scroll bar and replaces it with smooth scroll!

Site looks good but there's some performance issue with the loading of the site. Make sure your pictures are web compatible. Few bugs here and there but am sure they will be countered over the period.

SYMA X12 NANO RTF is priced $ 20-22  ....priced at RCMumbai at RS 1400....fair enough pricing..
on the other hand
JJRC H10 RTF is also priced $ 20-22 ...priced at RCMumbai at RS 2000....NOT fair enough pricing..

above was just an example.so it will be really great if you decide a fair price for products....

There are more than 700 items so adding more pictures won't be easy but i will talk to Chintal about it!

As for the pricing, we really can't do anything, because even we have to pay custom duties some times and we are already selling some products for less than 1% profit.
But, im sure you won't be able to find a better price in India for any product that we have.
In fact, we are shortly going to implement a "have you seen a better price ?" Button on products so that potential customers can tell us if they have seen better prices in India so that we an do all that we can in terms of decreasing the price of that product.

Even though the website has been upgraded the same problems continue- Chintal's mobile is switched off most of the time. The online help feature of the site also is not working. Queries remain unresolved   :-\ :-\ :-\

Hi Devang/Chintal

When I am trying to open the Rc mumbai site through my cable broadband I am getting the error:
"Error establishing a database connection"

But when I am opening through airtel or BSNL it is working fine!
Could you please help me how to get rid of this error? I tried cleaning the cookies and temporary files. Didn't work. It is appearing since yesterday!  :help:

in how many days i can expect to recieve a product after placing an order?

The T&C is placed there by the default theme files.
Anyway, we still have to update many things, one of which include the official stuff (t&c , privacy policy, return policy )
The old policies were written by Chintal himself and truly speaking, he doesn't know much when it comes to law.
New *legal standard* policies along with proper emails, SMS customisation ( some SMS are failing to send because of users not putting +91 before their no.s, we will change the whole no. entering system with country based detection and automatic entering! ) Overall improvements, cart improvements, etc will get finished by next week.
Once thats done, people won't have to manually agree to policies anymore because the new policy states that "If you are browsing our website, you are agreeing to the policies or please close this website now"

So, if you have placed an order recently and didn't receive SMS updates, its because you didn't put +91 before the no.

To solve this problem, we have implemented this:

This automatically validates the number before you place your order and it also automatically fetches the country phone prefix via the ip of the customer. It is also manually editable. So, from now on, everyone should receive SMS updates!

QUESTION!!

Lets say, we create a service where people can design their own quads, frames, shafts, etc and choose what they want, flight controller, battery, etc.
They can even input custom colours and pics, like a bat pic on the top of the quad.
We would 3D print the frame, attach all electronics, test fly it, adjust the settings for best performance and then ship it, RTF, to you.

Think about it. Design the quad that you actually want, choose what electronics you want, input graphical artwork along with colours and we will ship the quad that you dreamt of!!!

And, you don't even have to download any software, everything will be done from our website!!


Does this sound cool ? We want to do this, but the only thing thats stopping us is that these quads will have a slightly higher cost because of 3d printing + paint job + labor cost + etc.
What do you think ?

Is this service available or are you guys planning.My quads got stuck in customs & i'm looking for something customisable.
If it is available please let me know.
